(2014) ivf mummies support group

Actually I am still eating spicy food till date. Today dad cook sambal prawns sotong I ate the prawns but didn eat the sotong. Recently still went eat Korean bbq
 


Think abit prawns should be ok. I eat like 3-4 pieces. Mmmm ok I think better don't play play. Shall take extra care after tomorrow scan :) praying for good scan results and view tomorrow! So nervous!

I eat at 6 am, 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, 3pm, 6pm, 10pm. Then morning will wake up with gastric pain.

I trying not to drink gastric medicine unless really needed, thought it is preggie safe. But drink already, really remove a lot of the bloating and gas.

Hi buddies, I am back after seeing doc. At 1st the junior doc scan my stomach and saw a sac but guess the machine they use is not very new so graphic abit blur. Seems to have hard time seeing the yolk sac and heartbeat. So I actually ask whether can do vaginal scan. Then doc say after stomach she will do vaginal scan. Then when she do I think got bladder so ask to release bladder 1st. The junior doc is very gentle maybe fear hurt my bb inside so vaginal scan also took some time and finally detected two sacs. So she call the senior to come in personally to help me scan. In end I manage to see two flickering heartbeat. I am 6 weeks 3 days today. My next aptm is 4 weeks from now and I transfer to tps already. Thank god!

So u had to drink water for them to scan the tummy???

Yah, my friends were telling me that only kkh uses vagina scan. Most of the other gynae uses tummy scan and can hear heartbeat one.

Congrats. So that's why your hcg is high. My turn to wait.
 
Those with high HCG tend to have twins congrats @iwantahealthybaby normally is scan tummy first if can't see properly then will use vaginal scan de so good to have twins but muz take good care ok coz twins will have more complication de. Go borrow the book 'the new art and science of pregnancy n childbirth' n u can read up :)
 
Hmm but must admit the machine they use really seems old not as high tech. With tummy scan quite difficult to see clear ESP when early stage pregnancy. No @circlecircle she actually ask me go pass urine cause got urine inside cannot really see clearly. I thank god for all these. Seen doc he say not optimal but fantastic result. Maybe twins pregnancy got their risk as well. Now just got to monitor closely.

Popular dun sell I find it in library under local author section. Kkh can borrow the book u can go n ask hehe next to mac the parent education center
 
Iwantahealthybaby, I was so busy the whole morning with meeting. Just manage to see your good news. Must Thanks God for everything. Wow.. hehe.. We are waiting for our turn to come. . Aiyo I don't think I can have twins as my hcg that time like only 1. Hehe so happy for you. .
 
Iwantahealthybaby, how come doc says optimal? Hcg is high, should be stable.

U all can try to go Google books and search. I am reading the e - version now. Can't download lah. So scroll page by page lor...
 
Didn wor. Actually Isit normal practice to see doc again after so long? I will be going for the Down syndrome test too think somewhere in week 11 but the aptm they schedule me seems to be in week 13.

Circle I guess doc say not optimal because he doesn't fancy twins maybe because of complications and risk. He say sometimes womb is design to only accommodate one at a time. But he say don't worry too much just need to monitor closely.
 
Is a long waiting in kkh de unlike private gynae. Week 12 is Down syndrome test then week 20 is detail scan so enjoy waiting ba. Is only in the 3rd trimester maybe frequent visit coz gynae need to check the bb growth coz near to deliver
 
Thanks @snow19 for the recommendation. Think must wait till 1 month later before I can go kkh to look for the book. Just now no one mention to me haha cause maybe I haven't go tps there yet. By the way you go for the Down syndrome test also? I now thinking whether I make the right choice to go. I scare more worries only. Doc say it's flexible see own self want to go anot.

Actually my hubbs bought a few pregnancy books from kinokuya for me already. But I don't mind reading more :)

I am thinking should I start on an tai Yao now from TCM or wait till 2nd trimester since even supplements also 2nd trimester doc then start giving...

Yup we went for the Down syndrome test frm there can see the bb brain n leg n hand anyway the Down syndrome test not 100% accurate de so it depends on u whether want to do it anot
 
@circlecircle I think I remember you were saying I will be in oct thread mummies instead nov. Ya if singleton my edd 40weeks will be 10nov but twins maybe arrive slightly around oct (Still consider safe). By the way my doc say ginger tea is fine. It actually helps curb nauseous feeling. Today doc ask me if I need medication for nauseous and I say don't need. I ask him Isit not good or healthy if I don't have morning sickness at this stage, he just reply me saying I attribute this to youth! He feels I still young so maybe that's why my body able to handle the hormones change.

Anyone know in 1st trimester actually how many gynae visits is required? Heard they say if twins should have more frequent visits but don't know start from when?

I have been drinking ginger tea but sometimes scared heaty. It is good to have a strong and youthful body!
 
Iwantahealthybaby, congrats on having twinnies! HCG not accurate. That time my HCG is 1056 and we Thot is twinnies, but turn out singleton. Nevertheless we are grateful to have our bundle of joy. I'm also with dr tan at tps. The q at tps is faster than clinic d.
 
Bindimum me not very young already 32. But under my doc view as long as below 35 is consider young!

Thanks nidella. I don't know if I should do more research on whether which gynae is more experience in handling twins delivery in kkh or just stick to my ivf doc.

Yes kitkats, the thing is i havent got time to go research about delivery and gynae, cause yesterday review with doc he saying cannot see me in clinic d anymore, will transfer me out to clinic c or can follow him to tps. so i just say will follow him so he give me aptm at tps already.

Rest well... Now u have excuse to eat whatever u like n more! Hehe

I think doc tan Oso got do twins delivery his clinic D got a lot of twins picture taken wif him n the parents
 
Hello everyone, I have been very busy at work these few days. Think time will flies very fast due to the busyness. How I hope I can get twins but unlikely.
 
@snow19 yes i know dr tan do delivery but he seems very busy and especially alot of bfp under him through ivf also follow him directly so i scared during my delivery happen got a few more same time delivery then maybe he cannot attend to me. chose popular gynae also worried hahaha.

@Kitkats my doc say do not eat for 2 just eat normally. haha. he say most important be happy. my hubbs ask him about the down symdrome testing and the what if questions, doc stop him and say dont think so far be happy and positive. keep a happy womb. hehehe. but my tcm doc say must eat more now. what i can eat i just eat, dont need to control but dont overeat. she say so long no ms can absorb what just take what.

by the way ladies doing the 1st scan, for abdominal scan, they prefer a fuller bladder like transfer, so can see the uterus and your bb sac, for transvaginal scan they prefer a empty bladder so can see more clear. actually i realise the sonographer didn tell me about my bb heartbeat rate and didn state the size also. the pic she given me doesnt show much info. not that i know how to read too but i show my tcm doc and she say cannot see how big the measurement.
 
by the way just to share with you ladies, my tcm ask me to eat 1egg everyday including the yolk. she also ask me to continue drinking red dates tea cause i may be anemia due to twinnies. i need to have good blood supply. ask me eat more fruits, fish, black chicken, pork ribs and can start drinking mummy milk powder too. she say i need lots of vitamins and nutrients. i am on her tcm powder now too. i think western doc wont agree to start on tcm medication yet, my hubbs got his worries too but i think shouldn be a problem bah.
 
@iwantahealthybaby haha true also u can try doc john tee or KT tan or Matthew lau when I was at TPS I saw doc tan takes the longer time coz a lot of patients while other gynae very fast haha... The sonagrapher shld measure the size ma my first time scan the sonagrapher got show mi n tell me roughly how big n tell mi the flickering is the heartbeat coz bb too small. But hor compare the monitor to doc tan monitor I can see clearly at the sonagrapher monitor doc tan monitor very blur can't see clearly haha
 
@iwantahealthybaby the milking powder if u can drink then take but bear in mind it gains weight very easily coz the milk powder contain high sugar n gain too much weight is not good also. u shld go register for the pre-anatal class the next time round when u see ur gynae coz the anatal class got quite good information. The lady was saying dun eat for 2 just eat normally for first trimester u muz take how much calorie then 2nd trimester take hw much so I think is quite informative for the first trimester mummies they have information that during preg hw much weight u shld gain etc...

i thought the sonagrapher machine is old hahaha, even the sonagrapher tell me to hang on it take some time to start cause old machine. dont know leh, happen the one who scan me is a young lady i think younger than me so maybe she also not very experience, when she do vaginal scan i can feel she is very gentle and she cannot seems to get a clear pic and ask me to release my bladder, after that i went in again she try again and again take some time and movement before seeing two sacs. afterwhich she immediately call her senior to come and scan for me. when i see doc at clinic d he did mention the u/s machine in his room is nothing compare to the one at upstairs ( i dont he refer to the amc one or tps one) he say one is 4k while the other is 40k. i only see flickering but she didn tell me rate. cannot hear any heartbeat sound too lol. maybe still early? she just tell me 6wks 3days.

dr john tee is at tps as well? actually dont know if i change doc like that will feel weird anot like not loyal to my ivf doc lol. feel paiseh...i think john tee also busy man maybe not as busy as dr tan.

yes i always thought cannot eat like crazy in 1st trimester, thats why my doc say dont eat for 2, he say eat normally. he say dont think now carry twins then must eat more lolx. i always find western and chinese doc got different views. anyway i am eating normal meals now. hungry eat not hungry wont eat, maybe in between will snack but now the snack i take is fruits. thank you for all the precious info. actually after 1st scan the next scan they schedule you is for what purpose? just normal see the growth of bb? cause i thinking since now i make aptm with my doc 4 weeks later if now i decided to change doc should i fix aptm also 4 weeks later timing or i should do a 2 weeks aptm.
 


@iwantahealthybaby ur current gynae is ur ivf doc is it. If yes just stick to it lor coz they got ur cases le ma. U can eat fruits as snack or yoghurt or almond nuts. Milk is the best way to get calcium if not enough calcium ur bb will suck ur calcium. Need to take enough calcium to protect u. That's what the lady mention haha The next scan is review n see if u got any question need to ask the gynae anot. At least that's what happen to me la for u I not so sure haha...
