(2014/02) February 2014

Yi Zhen, I will only be going for my 1st appointment next week. Was told that 1st appointment is around $101. Consultation + Scanning. I will PM you when I have all the details.

CheeryZ. Thanx. I'm a worrier. I SMS my gynae about it and he just told me not to take anymore. Sigh... So many worries now, what not not eat, what to eat more, what not to do or must do etc. I was told by my TCM doc to eat 2 eggs a day. the cholesterol in the egg will convert to good stuff in the stomach for bb.

blushblush -- just to share if you consume the egg make sure that they are fully cook. as during pregnancy try to avoid raw food like sashimi, half boiled egg, etc.
And during first trimester try to avoid pineapple.
That’s all I can think of as of now…

Thanx. Yi Zhen. So far I've only eaten omelette. Will be making hard boil eggs soon. I've not been able to eat 2 eggs at a go yet. Just no appetite. Been taking very small meals. Lost a few hundred grams :-( and waistline seems to be expanding.

Hi blush blush, sure looking fwd to see our little ones next year

Yes cost is one of the concern to me too when choosing gynae. My current is gd but ex so pondering if I need to change gynae. But hv to find a gd one near our Plc if really change. Hi mtbs, I hv very little knowledge as Wellbutrin try to learn from apps like baby centre on the can do can eat stuff. Mb u can try quite nice app.
I juz join my co for 1mth so keeping my finger cross I can keep my pregnancy a secret after my confirmation.
Mine is a surprise but I'm happy & excited as hv been ttc for 2years. Guess if yr job is not exposed to traveling n chemical u can announce after yr 12week

Jy jy, I got the app for baby centre. Even joint the Spore website but its closed from 1 July. I agree that it's a very informative website.

hi hi! just found out that i am expecting! =)

Edd should be early Mar but im guessing will be delivering in Feb

Happy to get to know you all better

yes exciting!

can we take green tea anyway - the teabag kind

im starting to experience nauseous already and i think green tea helps me feel better

Lefaithful, take something more healthy like dried fruits (Cranberries, Rasins and Pune). Maybe that will help....

wow the thread moves fast... maybe I will tell my employer after the next gynae appt. My first appt with the doc was during the 7th week. The good thing is I am not showing much symptoms except fatigue and constipation

MZ: I'm also wondering abt what kinda reaction I will get...

lefaithful, you can try to take dried cranberries, rasins, punes and etc. They may have to ease your nausea.

hi girls, Anyone planning on gg 'Babymoon'? Before we found out that I'm preggie, we booked vacations to Bali this month and gg Europe in Sept. Bali definitely not gg now & we KIV Europe. Hubs is not for Europe cos of long distance flight. Anyone travelled long dist in 2nd trimester before?

anyone else having cramping?

cheeryz, thanks! i think i found some solution to ease the nausea

yizhen, mine is 1+yrs old. thinking of how to prepare my #1

lefaithful, everyday I have cramps...

Blushblush, think you may consider to postpone your Europe trip coz of the long flight. It is not gona be comfortable especially when your tummy gets bigger. I have problem resting on flight as the seats are small. I travelled by SQ, economy class to Europe just March 2013.

Hi sisters, I think you can try hot lemon water or chamomile tea for MS. I works for me. Chamomile tea is decaffined so i guess we can drink.

i asked hubby for babymoon and he rolled his eyes at me! -_-
we usually travel early part of the yr cos yr end very busy at work. we just got back from Taiwan and Aussie earlier this June.

I have a gf who flew to Florida in her early 2nd Trim and even took her #1 to Disneyworld. All came back safe and sound but i would suggest dont go la... long flights very uncomfy.

Thanx for the advice CheeryZ & Vee. My hub and I have been travelling about 4 times + 2 long haul trips a year. we really love to travel. Now I'm having a bit of trouble reconciling with the fact that my wings are clipped for the near future. Like what CheeryZ said even SQ flight is damn uncomfortable in long haul, especially direct flight with no stopovers to Europe. Moreover we'll be spending about 3 weeks driving around 2 countires. Ultimately, BB safety still most important, will cancel my air tics. Luckily we haven't booked accommodations yet.

BlushBlush, I understand how you feel as I love to travel as well. Maybe go for a short one instead? I am planning to go Thailand or Taiwan this Sep and that is if my condition permit me to do so.

Lolz.... This is will be one of your last trip before you deliver. After that you gona wait for 1-2 years before you can start to fly again. A short flight or trip is better than nothing. =)

haha. actually can travel with baby la. i have many friends who done it. bring baby go short trips between their 6-12 mths. like go taiwan, bkk, cruise.

one of my colleagues already bought her daughter to bkk and hk and next mth gg australia. her daughter is about 10 mths old?

Yup but have to consider baby health coz immune system may not be strong enough. It will be too young for them to travel. I have colleagues who bought their babies overseas and come back everytime sick. Better to be safe than sorry. Later come back more headache.

Actually my 1st gynae said this month travel also fine Sept no problem. It's my current gynae that advised us not to travel this month and in my opinion its best not to travel too in the first tri. I was telling hub, maybe this time don't go Europe also good if not next time we no other place to bring bb that we haven't been to :p Aussie is such a wonderful place to bring kids, it's not too far and has so many kids friendly activities. That's definitely one of the places I want to bring my kid.

2nd trimester is the best time to travel .. u'll feel at ur best during 2nd trimester .. so juz go ahead with ur babymoon if there are plans ..

yeah blush blush, my gynae also doesn't think it's a good idea to travel in the first trimester unless it's absolutely necessary.
