Whiteclover milk n food warmer.

Koirc Ya for dual pump is quite expensive but save times.
Medela cost $700plus. Think of it as an investment cos if din breastfeed then have to pay for formula milk too.

Hope, for car seat, as long you know that it's in good condition, then should be ok. Best to get it from reliable friends or siblings.

To consider going overseas for short trip during preg, i will consider places with decent level of medical assistance. Being preg, u never know what might happen n i think its safe to consider places where u feel confident receiving jabs n any other medical treatment... Im just a bit kaisu when itcomes to this.

koirc,
being sexually active even during pregnancy is normal lah... unless the doc ask u to abstain from sex due to some concerns.

sade,
i actually purchased my medela freestyle from overseas spree in this forum... cost me abt SGD380 but without any warranty... it's still working fine... i used it for my no. 1 and passed it to my SIL, and now i'm going to use it again for my no. 2.... just need to change the parts.

i'm using avent steriliser... for me i don't find any use for the milk/food warmer, i bought a milk warmer but ended up didn't even touch it... i prefer using hot water bath to warm things up...

Just went to check some prices before the oct fair. Can update into table for comparison. So if anyone know any prices from anyplace, just post here and I will compile
Cos heard sometimes fair prices may not be as cheap as dept stores.

Thks eskimobaby, cos i was wondering if can using hot water bath to warm milk up. Read before some articles and it's confuse me. Cos it's mention about controlling the temperatures of the milk.

Sade, thanks! Yah getting from my Gf will check the condition.

Joanne thks for the link. Personally feel that It's better to buy cos for long term rental its not worth it. N also hygiene purpose.

Eskimobaby - about the changing the parts, is it we buy the parts overseas and change ourselves OR there is a place in sg we can buy the parts and they change for us?

Sade, my friends also recommend Medela but I didn't know it's so ex!

Btw, wanted to ask... Have you all heard that we shouldn't be attending any weddings? Cos apparently the bride's energy is too overpowering for the baby? I have two weddings coming up soon but my mum told me not to attend leh! One of them is my good friend!

My hair needs coloring badly , I am thinking of coloring it in the scalp specialist hair centre again, do you think it's alright?

whiteclover,
the parts can be purchased at the mums and babes store... don't have to fix anything up cos when you wash and sterilise, u would need to dismantle to wash and sterilise and fix the parts back again when you need to pump.

Znatasha, mine too! I am planning to go to the salon this weekend!

Where is scalp specialist hair centre?

Koirc, I have hair care/dye package with BeiJing 101 which I signed up sometime ago. I did dye once when I was in week 6, knew it's not advisable but I feel so miserable to see the grey.

Znatasha, I also have a hair care package with BJ101! But I stopped going after pregnancy cos the tonic they use contains salicylic acid which is not good for pregnancy. I also stopped using their shampoo cos it contains angelica roots which is also a herb to avoid during pregnancy.

I plan to go to Phyto. I think one sister ever shared a link that they use natural ingredients hair coloring safe for pregnancy.

oh Koirc, I asked the stylist if the dye is ok, they said it's all herbal and many of their pregnant custmer dyed hair there too...

sade - do u get cramps / cramp at this stage? this mornng i got a scare. woke up and felt a sharp jabbing pain in lower abdomen. but it went away after 5 min.

Sade and Whiteclover, u gals sign the package with dr Loh right? Can I ask $750 is it inclusive of GST? And how often do you see him in 2nd tri? I heard that 3rd tri is usually once every 2 weeks right?

White clover nope. I used to have stretching pain on and off but sin aft week 20 felt v normal except kicks. So normal that I almost forgot that I m bfp.

Hope $750 is not inclusive of gst. Can sign on week 16 onwards. U have to do your own calculation to see if It's worth it or not to sign. 4 weeks apart during 2nd tri n 2 weeks apart during 3rd tri.

Hope, week 22 plus now.

Babycenter said that 3rd trimester starts on week 28.

Huh? when is your detailed scan? I signed up the package on week 17 and used that as one time.

I believe that u should know that the 10 times package is only for scheduled appt by doc, so in case of any sickness then it's consider as emergency and have to pay $ for that appt.

Thanks, Whiteclover!

Btw, sisters, I think some of you bought the book "What to expect when you're expecting" right? Can you advise author's name? I can't find on books depository. I went to MPH just now and the one they have is called "What NOT to expect when you're expecting"! *confused*

Sade, I just seen dr Loh on mon which is 14 weeks plus near 15. Next visit will be detailed scan in oct. that's why I can't sign the package yet. Now trying to decide if worth to sign or not.

Hope hmmm... Ya better do ur calculation before signing up. Because one lesser visit sin u will start on week 20.

Good morning ladies! Anyone experienced leg cramps at night? I have mild cramps last night. I have heard about leg cramps during pregnancy. What is it about?

koirc,
i think someone mentioned that it can't be found on bookdepository. go to popular or kinokuniya, they definitely have it.

ladies,
i realised that my face and hair is more oily now with some breakouts on the face... any recommendation for facial wash and shampoo?

it's really different for this pregnancy. for my #1, my friends all commented that i look so radiant and my skin was really good.

Hi tutu, I was initially on 3 tablets a day then fr week 8, doctor said to drop to 2 tablet a day. I took together with progynova.

anyone have blocked ear problem? I seems to have weird symptoms. My tail spine bone hurts and worst when i sit. My right ear starts to plugged since last week...

Koirc: HI the name of author for the book " what to expect when you are expecting"is Heidi Murkoff, Arlene Eisenberg and Sandee Hathaway.

Eskimobaby, is your first a boy or girl? I am trying to see if my friend's theory is true. Hehe... And thanks, I think I will try Kinokuniya. For the facial cleanser, you can consider the one in this link: http://www.youngparents.com.sg/pregnancy/keep-it-glowing. It sounds good but I haven't tried. I use Cetaphil now...

dian_tang, thanks for confirming the title. Luckily I didn't buy the one that tells me what NOT to expect. Hahaha...

Koirc: kino at taka has many books , maybe you can try there. I got this book from a book fair so it was cheaper . This book is good as it go by months by months .
