I saw 20%disc for pigeon products at kiddy palace. I think till today only if I m not wrong. Rem I mentioned abt the pigeon sterilizer, I saw the disc for their products. Din know that pigeon seldom have disc. Maybe u want to go n buy later?

sade, I used wide neck bottles previously for my gal so I'm pretty used to it. I think it's easier to pour FM or BM inside with the wider neck, and perhaps easier for baby to hold when they first start developing their grabbing skills (not sure if I'm right on that, hahah).
 
Luv Oh I see. I also bought that cos mainly its cheaper n It's a starter kit. I also storage bottles but slim neck. Just want to try out both. First time mum. BTW, How many bottles do u think It's necessary? I m planning to latch did first 2 months. Then latch n bottle feed.
 
sade, i got the starter kit (which has 3 bottles) and another 2 bottles. 5 to 6 bottles shld be a comfortable number cos otherwise u have to keep sterilising after every use.

Hey ladies, how's everyone doing?

Wanted to ask if anyone knows anything about maternity insurance? I know AXA's benefits do not cover IVF pregnancy but Prudential's didn't mention. Does it mean we can take up the insurance? Or do all insurance exclude IVF pregnancy?

Sade- did dr loh mention abt the diabetes test in the last visit? Wondering when we do the test? Have been eating a lot of sweet stuff, must abstain nearer the test

Whiteclover GD test is to be done during week 26-28. Its not a compulsory test. But he told me to do it due to family history.
 
Koirc and Reikibaby, GE has a policy got mums to cover pregnancy. But I don't think they cover as many complications as AXA and premium may be higher? But well I guess it's fair coz they go cover IVF pregnancy hence assuming the risk. Do check it out if you are interested!

Hope - I shd be meeting axa agent this or next week. When I sign up for the thomson fbi card, got free 6 mths coverage for baby. So the agent is going to talk abt that and prenatal insur.
 
Whiteclover and hope, I also have the free insurance from axa agent. N he kept on calling me. Actually i dont wan it. n also they dont cover ivf pregnancy. He told me to call him once my bb is born so that can activate the free 6 months bb insurance.

Well, whiteclover is natural conception so still ok. Pls fill me in after you had met the agent. Guess will be pushy for bb insurance. Cos i have my own serving agent from great eastern, hence i might give up the free bb insurance.

Been receiving few no of calls regarding milk powders and this axa insurance. Dislike to fill in the details for the freebies.
 
whiteclover, when are you starting your WBB class? Just a remainder, have you made payment?
My class is supposed to start on 9 OCt but was postponed to 16 OCt.

Koirc, 24 weeks now. You Should book Wong Boi Boi class earlier if you are interested. Can still attend even thou you are not with thomson.

Ladies, do u suffer from slow or indigestion problem n how do u deal with it? I can feel my stomach n intestines churning after meals n it gives me a very jelly feeling at my stomach. Very uncomfortable..
 
Sade, I see forgot that Whiteclover conceived naturally Hee. I met up with the AXA agent... The 6 months free thingy u can contact the agent after u delivered. So don't need to commit now.

sade - i'm starting my class on oct 13. did they call or email u to postpone? i sign up and paid online. since then, no one has contacted me.

didn't know insurance don't cover ivf pregnancy.

about kicking - recently my tummy will feel a tremor ie bigger surface area 'shake'. am wondering if that is kicking or contraction. worried that it's contraction.

I'm so looking forward to the baby fair this weekend. who's going?
 
tutu, i get bad indigestion also. it will get better.
some tips that help to relieve
- chew yr food more often and take small bites.
- i usually don't wear bra or loosen bra after meals as it gets really uncomfortable.
- no lying down 2-3 hrs after meals.
- and taking yoghurt after meals worked for me.
 
Ladies,
Check with you. When do you start signing up for the First Born Incentive with Thomson? At 20 weeks? I thought of signing up earlier and get discount for Oscar scan, if there is.

I am also looking forward but at the same time worried that its too crowded. Cant really shop properly there.
 

Tutu, indigestion started from the start. Got better at week 14. The initial stage was so bad. Chest felt so tight like going to explode. On really bad days, I sometimes take gaviscon.

I think also have something to do with the fact that I had craving for fried food then.

Yes, yakult helps. I take yakult with apple juice.
