For vaccinations, i don't think so. My elder gal went to private PD for all her vaccinations and some of it will cause fever too. Normally, they will inform you that they 'might' have fever.
For my 2nd gal, Initially was thinking poly or PD and ended up with Polyclinic. Their service is good and the cost is so much cheaper. Their hep B jab is now FOC too

How's your bb jaundice?

I loves babies

The sebamed cream helps? I just got the aqueous cream from Dr but dunno good anot. Her whole face are filled with tos little bumps..wonder when will it be cleared?

mummies
My gal seems to be a 'light sleeper' she often cries in her sleep or will wake up crying after sleeping for awhile. She sleeps longer if being placed down on tummy. Any babies here are like that?

Dreambig, wow u take a variety of diary products!
happy.gif
in Fact i dont have appetite due To lack of sleep these Days. So supply drops. Envious that u have 100ml each side...sob sob*

Fatfat, yes The cream works for my Baby but i Think u might need to figure out what cause the rashes first. For my Elder girl, i remember she got lots of rashes bcoz of metabolism, not milk or dirt. In that case, i had to Get medicines from doctor. For my bb Boy, i think its juz bcoz of the weather or didnt clean enough after latching.

Tiny123, i got drops n spray from pd as well which can temporarily relieve the discomfort only

Policlinic: how cheap is the vaccination would be? I rememer i spent 200-300 Bucks per visit at gp last time, for my girl.

I love babies
I send my gal to polyclinic for hep b jab yesterday. Tat one is foc (started recently )for other jabs i can check with my friend who works in poly if u want.

5 in 1 at polyclinic is also free. Only have to pay for theoptional jabs if u want to take them. And they are cheaper than what i saw at the pd clinic (which u still have to pay consultation fee - polyclinic they also do the basic growth checks for free)

fatfat, my boy is also a light sleeper. The longest hours he can sleep without waking up or making noise is 1-1.5hrs. But after some efforts, he is able to fall back to sleep for another 1-1.5 hrs for next feed. I think it's pretty common bcoz they are insecure in the new world. Are you still swaddle your baby? i heard that they should be swaddled until 6 weeks but mine was unswaddle at 3rd weeks coz too hot.
Sleeping on tummy helps if you are bold enough to try (I am worried about the risk, dare not to try).

Vaccinations at polyclinic: Wow...i wasn't aware it could be so much different! I should go to polyclinic then. Thanks fatfat and leyash for your useful info. Oh btw, fatfat, if you manage to get more info, please share with me, thanks thanks

I lo babies
My gal is sleeping on her tummy/ sideway during the day. No more swaddling too scare overheat her.

For vaccinations in SINGHEALTH poly, she can't reveal the cost. FOC for citizen are 5-1. MMR and Hep B jabs.
The rest that needs to pay can use medisave now. That's what i understand from her..

Fatfat, I love babies: my boy also very lightvsleeper.. I think just like me haha.. Any slight noise will wake him up so we end up tip-toeing around when hevsleeps... N he also tend to get startled very easily always flinging his hands up which wakes him, so no choice I have to swaddle him to prevent him from waking himself up... His naps rangevfrom 30mins to 1 hr cos he wakes very easily...

Fat fat re vaccinations. Good to know there's a cheaper option. I don't know much abt d differences if any cos never experienced before... Only hear say....

I love babies: hehe... My appetite is ok... That's why did not lose my "baby" fats yet!!
sad.gif

For supply, u can ask your gynae to prescribe you some supplements for increasing supply? My friend got something from hers. Or u can try fenugreek.

Actually in fact, my supply seem to be decreasing n also not enough for baby... I pump usually when my breast is full but I noticed that it takes a long time to replenish n sometimes not enough for next feed for baby......

Dreambig
My gal too.. tot she zzz liao happy happy then suddenly cry and cry in her sleep and gotta pick her up again..also scare that she wants us to carry carry. Haiz

Actually, I almost bring her to the PD too cos never been to polyclinic and scare of waiting time and the crowd..but my friends ask me to try it out. So far so good plus it's cheap. For PD I spend 150-400+ per visit for vaccination for my elder gal last time.

Fatfat : don't worry I think it is due to the baby still very young n insecure. How old is yr girl now? I believe it will improve with time...

Fatfat, leyash - thanks again for the info, i will go polyclinic then

The haze is really annoying, which makes My Boy's blocked nose even worse...has difficulty in drinking milk now

Hi may13 mummies, i am a first time mtb fr the dec thread n currently busy searching for a gd CL..would like to seek your recommendation for any gd CL contacts to share? If have, would u kindly share with me at [email protected] a lot!

Ya.. The haze is terible... Hazes up my living room!! So smoky n smelly.. Even my eyes are tearing up... I have confined my baby to d bedroom where it is less smoky..
sad.gif

Dreambig: I have the same problem as u! The supply keeps Going down.
sad.gif
not sure Why. how much is your bb taking per feed? Do u on aircon? I try not to open windows. the air is really bad.

Chloe mummy: it could be due to overfeeding or reflux. Babies who have reflux tend to throw up after their milk intake.

The haze is really bad.. take care mummies!

Littlebabysmurf: yes I switched on air con all the time but the smoke is coming in via d balcony doors I think...
sad.gif

I don't know how much my baby takes per feed actually cos I latch him on... But I tried to feed him once by bottle n he took only 2oz. However I observed that his consumption depends on how hungry he is......

Dear mummies do take care of you n baby in this haze. So angry with those who are responsible for this. Totally irresponsible actions that harm others!! Especially our precious young ones.

Hi all,

Is ur baby fussy everyday? My girl do cluster feeding everyday at evening and I'm so tired! She will cry, latch, unlatch, burp her then cry, latch...repeated the whole cycle for 2 hr or so.

Any remedy?

Hi mummies,

I'm letting go of my excess boxes of Organic Mother's Milk Tea from Traditional Medicinals at $8. Retail selling at $9.90.

Bought lots of this organic herbal tea cos it helped boost my milk supply in the initial stages of breastfeeding. But over-estimated and now have quite a few boxes left cos I've stopped breastfeeding after baby turned one.

All are unopened boxes. Expiry date: April 2015.
Pls PM me if interested.

Dreambig - thanks for the link!

lovebaby13 - I just brought her to the doc today. It is reflux. no wonder she seems so painful..poor baby

Bebe

Any remedies for reflux?
My gal will usually spit out the milk after feed, can be 10mins 30mins or even an hour later. Mil said her tummy is too gassy. Don't think it's colic? Colic will be long hours of crying m I rite?

I just ordered another brand of milk bottle hoping to reduce the spit out.

Fatfat junior: take bb to see pd. If she is diagnose reflux the doc will prescribe zantac or losec. My Gal is taking losec. It's stronger than zantac But in tablet form so need to dissolve in water. Zantac is in liquid form.

Bebe: What medicine Did doc give? Try to get her to sleep elevated. or keep her upright for min 20 mins after feeding. It helps. my Gal always gets hiccup if i put her down too soon n the reflux will kick in.

my 7wk old baby hvnt poo for the past 3 days. im getting paranoid over this she is drinking well..no sign of constipation and shes on total bf. Any mummies encounter this?

ive massage her.. cycle her legs to stimulate.. warm bath.

but its nt working still..

Fatfat & babysmurf - doc gave her probiotic to try first coz I dun wan her to do medication at so young. She's ard 6 weeks.
I tried to keep her upright , really upright like baby carrier then can help her. Even car seat or rocker with 20 or 45 degree doesn't work for her.
If really cannot, I have to consider medication already

I have brand new, unopened Similac infant stage 1 (blue tin) 900g for sale at $46
Expiry 25 feb 2015

My mom brought it to standby in case nt enff breastmilk but currently exclusive bf so dun need it. Let me know if anyone interested.

Nemo, my boy experienced it and i was a bit worried about it. However, advised by PD, as long as he is drinking well, poo poo color is yellow (bm baby poo) not too watery or hard, it should be alright.

Although bm baby doesn't really need to drink water, i still try to give him some (not much, 5-10ml) as weather is so hot. Normally he will pass motion after that...Just FYI

Dear mummies,

Anyone keen to have baby/family shoot at Baby U studio? Am short of 2 mummies to form 10 pax to get 20% off packages. Anyone keen is to transfer $50 as deposit to me by 30 Jun, then you may go and book the date and time with them on your own. Msg me (not WA) me at 98158556 if keen.

Bebe: I started out with probiotics too But my Gal reflux is quite bad so have to take medication. I didn't want her to take medicine at such a young age too. Guess I had no choice. even with her medicine she is still having it.
sad.gif
Hope the probiotics work for u. I even have to make her sleep upright for some nights. so much so that I have to watch over her and get almost no sleep. do u let her sleep in the carrier?

Babysmurf - how old is ur bb? In the noon after her feed I will carry her over my shoulder for a while to observe. She feels better tat way. If I put her down she will cry immediately. If I carry till hand ache I will put her in rocker. But sometimes, she really pain till rocker in 45 degree also cannot work for her. So no choice over shoulder is better, you can try it.

And also, u feed formula or bf? They say bf easier to digest thus, reduce some pain

Hi all mummies, I am a new mummy and my bb is 5 wk old. I have problem latching him. He will latch for 10 min and unlatch himself and cry. I try to latch him back but he doesn't want and continue crying. This happens the whole day. Any one has similar problem or remedy?

Hi Elaine, I paid $5000 CASH for my TMC bill... one bedded room. I incurred about extra $1k for an extra night. Cos baby came out after midnight... Once you have that, it's expensive cos everything is alacart price. And also baby had jaundice and so extra cost again.

I love babies: do you have any lactation consultant to recommend and do you know how much they charging?

I feel so sad that my baby do not wan to latch and is tired to struggle with him every nursing. It seems like he prefer bottle than breast.

Blue_Cloud, where did you give birth? I heard that lactation consultant in Mt.A is good. I gave birth in TMC, and the lactation nurses are helpful as well. I did ask them about the charges before but cant remember now, probably below SGD100 per trip/hour. You may call them and check it out.

As you mentioned that you also do bottlefeeding, may i know it's FM or BM? It's quite common for babies to reject breast if you give bottle too often. Are you SAHM or full time working mummy? Do you plan to bottle feed yr baby when going back to work?

If you are full time mummy, then try not to give him bottle and latch him all the time for one or two days. Your baby will accept your breast eventually. But if you still want to bottle feed him, you may need to weigh the pros and cons then.

On the contrary, I am now having problem with bottlefeeding. My baby was alright with bottlefeeding and breastfeeding at the same time before 1 month old. However, when i look after him by myself when CL left, I latch him most of the time at night, and he is addicted to my nipples now. I have to train him to accept bottle again as I will be going back to work in August. It's quite struggling as supply will drop with pumping out the breast milk all the time. What's more my office doesn't have lactation room, that's another problem i have to tackle.

I hope my babysitter will be patient enough to bottle feed him and then I will latch on to keep supply when i am back to home.

Any mummies can share your experience?
