jac, i am in my middle of 13th week this week.. i still wear the normal swim wear, though after wearing, like a gal with a round tummy lor... but still all right.... think will get one if tummy gets bigger... i want to take swimming as my regular exercise during the pregnancy....
 
michelle, what happeneD? ur hubby told your mil?? u ok mah? aiyoh...

just to check, we can start exercising after 1st tri right? am thinking of doing some exercise... hope can really get down to it.. feeling so lazy..
 
Drypantz : i got tell my hubby not to tell mil cause i dont want have theses things happen again... just now i go out eat.... they ask me what am i eating now... i say eat lunch.... ya what food.... i dont want to say... wait they keep nagging me why u eat this n that should cannot eat.... i suffering now... later i not sure what time she will call up again.... i think must well i dont eat....
 
<font color="000080">Just came back from my OSCAR... baby was super uncooperative, kept moving around and stretching! My sonographer was super irritated... just the scanning took more than an hour! I don't think my NT scan results are very good though, cos the range of measurements was like 2.3mm to 2.9mm... wonder if it's because baby was in wrong position also. Anyway my next appointment with gynae will be when the blood test results are out.</font>
 
for those who had OSCAR test (down syndrome) will ur gynae call to inform u the result wait till appt den gynae will tell u?

jac, my gynae will gave me a date for the oscar test and also booked a date for our next appointment, which is the sat after my test (my test is on MOnday).

tethysea, oh no, does it mean u have to do the scan again?

michelle, okok, not tat bad lah.. they are just very concerned about you! chill and relax. dun be so upset by them. and u must eat! your little baby needs food! jia you for yourself and your little baby!
 
Hello mummies, going for the gynae appt and OSCAR tmr! Can't wait to meet baby and hope baby will be guai and I can have a nice picture of him/her!

actually i hear from my sis &amp; frenz say whenever gg for appt drink lots of water... it will help. tat works for mi as tues i juz went for the scan &amp; OSCAR.

jac, yah i think you are right. i rem that time i went for my #1 the nurse asked me to go drink lots of water too! think cos with full bladder, the womb will be push closer to the surface of the tummy so easier to scan? hahahaha! i dunno!!!

don't think too much, just go with the flow. You think and think, will get more and more depressed!

there's study that eating apples during pregnancy will help reduce the chances of baby developing asthma and wheezing...not sure how true it is, but apples are fruits, and most fruits are healthy!
 
Daisy cannot say anything de... she will complaint to my hubby say i shoot her back or say her back de.... now i cool down liao.....

i feel want to give up...... i dont know.... sian also... haha.... pregnant is good things de... but why she like that... then my hubby also siao la... tell mil that i got feeling this time is a girl again.... more worst.... she say me..... why u think is girl.... i say alot of aunt see my tummy also feel is girl.... then she say... scan if is girl go take away... what the hell.......

Understand that we need to drink a lot of water in order to go for scan. And bb position is impt. Tt time I went mine and bb not cooperative then was nearly asked to go walk and drink more water. Lucky bb change position last min.

For mi I get back the result the very same day.

michelle - for me , i will say its a boy to stop her nagging and if come out a girl when give birth den u say oh, its her finger tat time lol

qin - CL now is 2k - 2.2k
 
michelle - everytime your mil asks, tell her that doc can't tell the gender because of the position..she may give up asking after a few times

No leh, e sonographer said no need for full bladder n even told me to walk to e toilet to wake bb up. She said it depends on e position of e womb so for mine no need full bladder. But she press me v hard n kept shaking my tummy to make bb change position. Quite uncomfy but I ren since I don't 1 2 wait ano hr for bb to change position.

Michelle: how could ur MIL say such evil things? Still wanna ask u to abort bb if it's a gal? If my MIL tells me that, I will surely give her a piece of my mind!!

I newbie here.. my EDD is 18/3. Glad to be here and can chit chat with all mum to be the comments and feedbacks about the pregnancy. I just done my OSCAR &amp; blood test on Monday. Nurse advised me to drink more water before the scan. Initialy, my little ones position was face down and the sonographer asked me to turn left &amp; right and hold for few mins. According to the sonographer, sometimes little ones will follow mummy turn. Haha! I followed her instruction and it works! I saw the little one was moving slowly turning upward.. Glad that the little ones was very cooperative. We finished the scan around 15-20mins time. Clinic called me on the next day to inform the result but the blood test is not well due to high glucose found in blood.. Sigh~ Clinic arranged me to go blood tests again for detail diabete test on this Saturday. I need to fast from Fri night until test on Saturday am. Hate to draw blood. I hope everything will be fine.

Oh ya! I haven't get stretchmar cream yet. But recently my tummy feel very tight and a bit itchy. Can I check what are the good recommended brands for the stretchmark cream?

Jac: Yah, the quote I got expensive... trying to get cheaper quotes... used to doing yoga before pregnancy so tot can continue.... oso considering swimming...

Zelda: didn't know baby got to be awake when doing OSCAR.. from everyone's comment it seems must be awake but not too active ... quite tough eh..

michelle: quite puzzled about your mil's logic on the food restriction ... i would say just get advice from gynae..gynae says ok you just go ahead....my gynae was advising me... ok to drink watermelon juice outside but to keep peace at home... avoid if mothers don't allow....

but if your constitution is weak, then maybe got to be more careful... and listen to the TCM type of advice too...

in addition ... i do tell white lies ... sometimes is good so that everyone is not overly stressed... my hubby oso lies to his mom for me...
 
Michelle, just bochup ur mil la. Quite drama leh, still call u everytime to track wat u eat?? Think u and hubby the v guai type. My mil confirmed dun dare to do this to me. Till now she dun even ask me abt my pregnancy though she suspect I am, since we never tell her yet.

Please be happy, dun worry about all this mil thingy. The baby is yours, and most impt is healthy. Gals are great, they often are closer to their parents than the sons! Point is boy or gal, they are our flesh and blood, we go through 9 mths of discomfort to bring them to this world.
 
HL milk can drink, just dun drink it too cold. I drank during my 1st pregnancy. Then what milk ur mil recommend? Those mum to be milk? They are good but fattening lor.

then this time is mil keep asking him so how this time is boy... then my hubby keep quiet till mil keep nagging say no girl liao right....
hubby fed up say i can feel this is girl.... then mil keep quiet to him... end up call me.... cause i dont dare to meet them wait see my tummy n nag me....

Min : Ya i always tell her that gynea say ok to eat de.... even HL milk also good de... but she say no no milk for me... cannot drink milk.... then i say it ok de... u no need to worry.... then mil say idoit gynea anyhow advise pregnant drink n eat this n that.... faint... so i chose keep quiet lor...

Michelle, I feel for you! Your MIL is scary. Thank god my hubby is not close to his family and nobody from his side dare control me much... :p

I booked my confinement lady thru agency for $2200. Need to apply work Permit at about $180. If you are that kind who cannot survive without a CL, better book soon coz I think many good CLs are already booked for next year. Nowadays, people book very early. The last two times, I booked mine about 5-6 months. Now I just asked around once I know I'm pregnant, surprised people already booked when they are now even over their 1st trimester. But well, they are usually not 1st time mummy, so prob know what they really want.
