Ask u all something, any of you feeling super cold? Everyone in office is asking me why i'm wearing my thick cardigan :p Hee, but i'm not telling until my belly shows! Been drinking lotsa warm water (a lot more toilet trips too!) but it doesn't seem to help me get warmer? Do you think red date longan drink might help?

I am not and I told my colleagues abt my pregnancy when I was 6-7 weeks pregnant with my #1. this time round I also told them early. It's good that they know and can share the joy! I am generally speaking not a pantang person. BUT my MIL has been telling me to lie low and not go around saying and sometimes, after you learn of certain customs, a bit difficult to disregard [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif] So I rather err on the caution side and not have to announce it, just in case..



Hi Naturally, I feel cold with my hands and legs as well, think it's a sign that the body is using up a lot of energy to grow the little one inside?

for my 1st pregnancy, we also didn't tell ppl till i was in 2nd trimester. my mil also pantang one lah. she said if tell others the pregnancy will not go on. sigh.. anyway, i still told a few close friends, all my colleagues and also my church pastors. hahaha!! this time round, i've also told many ppl, just that didn't announce on FB. the only person i have kept it from is my mil! lol! even my fil also on my side, keeping the secret. :p 'cos even though she herself told me not to tell, she will go announce to her neighbours about it. funny right!??!

i think apart from the symptoms and whatever, you are already trained in knowing what to expect and understanding your body right? how are #1 and #2 taking it? are they very sticky to you now? my girl seems to be more fussy lately. still not very much of a problem but just feel that she is 'noisier'! don't know whether she sensed it or it's just her normal infant stage phase.

My appt changed to 3pm...hubby cannot make it at 11am...will update all of you...the last time doc told me my EDD is 2/11...i think will change again...and i also feel some of us will fall in OCT as well..hahahah

i also think so, my #1 i pop at slightly over 38 weeks and many ppl say that #2 might be the same or slightly earlier.

Can i join in?



I am around 5 weeks pregnant. EDD should be early Nov. Seeing gynae tomorrow as I have slight brown discharge, hopefully will be okie.



This is my 3rd one ;o) Did not really plan for it thus hope bb will be fine. During my second pregnancy, i had bleeding in first trimester so i hope it will not repeat again this round.

Thanks Redgin for your encouragement ;o) I think i will also ask my gynae to prescribe hormone pills for me tomorrow. Somehow, i have bad backache and slight cramp around abdomen since this morning after having the brown discharge.

Naturally, I don't feel cold but I am getting tired more easily. Is anyone experiencing that?



Adeline, I will most likely only announce it after I clear my first trimester. I am super not pantang but in the last 6 months, I have witnessed two close friends whose pregnancies were not viable in the first trimester. It has made me jittery.

I am a happy wife today as hubby took some time off to lunch with me. And I went for a mani after lunch. Wives are so easy to please! :)

Today has been a horrible day for me, woke up with severe MS although I read MS steps in after week 8 or something and I am only week 5-6? So horrible I can't bring myself to eat anything..have to let it go here and my hubby still tell me having MS means baby growing well!

nice to know there are experienced mummies here who already have more than 1 kid (minus the one inside tummy :p) Ask u both, was it difficult for the elder child to accept a new sibling? I'm actually quite cool about this 2nd pregnancy, only big worry i have is how to get my Nic to accept another baby in the house. As in he won't be the only baby in the house now... gosh i still call him "baby" all the time, should i call him something else now? Suddenly feel kinda sorry for him! the elder one is taking it well. When dh and i first found out about the pregnancy, we sort of cooked up a story about our desire to have another baby and we asked for his opinions. He was quite receptive so we asked him to pray on our behalves. On the second night, we told him that God answered his prayers haha. As for #2, he is too young to fully understand what is going on la. Anyway, I think its children's natural instinct to stick to mother for comfort, what's more your lil girl is so young!

Try to have small frequent meals ba...for me, my nausea gets worse when I have an empty stomach, so now eating supper before I sleep.

 
Hey Adeline, I hope your day got better! I thought that MS usually arrives at week 7/8..hang in there. Will smaller meals keep it in?



Ktr, I think your idea of roping in your eldest child to pray for a younger sibling is awesome! Very inclusive.:))



I have started to put little packets of cookies in my bag, for moments when I feel weak. I always have medicated oil with me, anyway..



Is anyone planning for a babymoon?;-)

Hi Ladies, Sorry for my late reply. Thanks for welcoming me to the thread! Went for my first visit to the gynae. I so lucky.. BB is exactly 6weeks old today. Manage to see my BB heartbeating. So interesting! EDD: 2 Nov 2011 (02112011 - Nice date!) I went around everywhere.. First to shuang lin shi to pray tai shui and also Zhu Yun Niang Niang (Assist Birth Godness). Then we went to Guan Yin Miao at Waterloo to tell her the good news as I am so-call her god daughter. Must tell her she going to be god-grandma liao... Anyway, i guess i really too happy and go around tell the godness. But I lied low when come to human, still abit pantang la.. My Dr also tell me to lied low till my next visit. So after next one, i will officially announced on my FB! lol.. Time to do my school assignment (doing my last sem for my part time deg). Havnt been doing it since i got to know about BB from Mon, and assignment due on 14.. haha.. But i know BB will give me the strength to complete it!

Mee & You: I would like to have my babymoon. BB come unexpectedly. I got to cancelled my 2weeks hoildays to US in may (suppose to be my graduation trip) & my honeymoon to Japan in Nov. Cancellation of all air tickets cost me up to 1000. Haiz.. My fren tell me BB is naughty. Want me spend $$ and dun want me to go.. Haha.. But nevertheless, i still happy! Will give BB a sweet trip when he/she get two plus!

I dont want to share anything unhappy here...good news i saw BB heartbeat!! Strong and steady...blinking at me...so cute!



Today went to see 2 gynae...first one shocked me and i have to quickly go to the a 2nd one within the same day!!



i got 2 EDD...3/11 and 8/11...haiz...so i dunno i belong OCT or NOV...haha!

Woah.. u went thru a little. Anyway, we went to the same Dr today. I went at 11am. Dun worry, Dr Ang told me that if i come one day earlier, i might not be able to see BB heartbeat. It's just nice 6 weeks now. So i can see my BB heartbeat. Ur BB will be fine. Jus keep in faith and stay happy. I will be seeing Dr Ang on 7 Apr. He really exp. My 2 aunties, a few frens and even my current new boss went to him. They did not refer me, i just happen to know when they tok about it last time. :p If u getting an appointment then, prob we can meet and talk again!

what do you think abt him? i feel he is very honest and also explained in details to me too. quite ok...package at $550 at 14-16 weeks...can offset whatever you see him previously...



i read he encourages natural birth without epi...coz he dont want his patient to waste $$...

Ya, i think he is good. He still try joke ard w mi n hubby to ease our aniexty.. The only thing not really good is he got really too many mothers looking for him. But i willing to wait. After i got bb, i always been sleeping. More than 10 hours a days.. Guess my bb take over my hubby habit. Jus like sleep alot.. Haha

my AF was due last week but til now no show.

i did hpt 3x liao. 1st time negative, on monday v v faint line (my hubby say non existent line) so today i test again.

Hi babyrabbit, ya.. He is quite popular n sincere. U prob have to wait an hour for every appointment jus to see him for 15 min. But i guess its worth the wait. He is a nice guy.. Dr lawerance ang at sun plaza, he sort of represent thomson medical clinic.



N yah, he did say that he will suggest us go tmc for delivery bcoz mt A is having a major reno. The doc carparks is closed now. Most imptly, is the noise pollution that we be enduring. Tts why he recommend us to tmc till reno works end.

 
Babyrabbit, i suggest u go clinic n do a test. I did hpt myself, din even show anything. U got other symptoms of preg? Like breast tenderness/ sore?

good that you managed to see bb's heartbeat, i went on monday night, but dr says still can't see yet, only managed to see the sac. so i'm waiting for my appt end of the month, hopefully by then will be able to see something more. the same thing happened to me when i got pregnant with #1, i booked my tickets to europe, then i found out i was pregnant and i was bleeding, so dr says better don't go, so in the end i cancelled my trip. till this day, i always remind my girl that she owes me 1 europe trip! u tested with clearblue? if not, can wait a couple more days then test again. HCG levels will double very quickly. or can go gynae to confirm.

 


Redgin, I did not tell Dr about my trip also. Even my hubby ask me go ahead. But to be safe, I just cancel. Dun want anything happen to my bb. Haha.. I will tell my kid next time he own me a US and Japan trip! Ask him/her to bring me when they got the financial ability. Hahaha... :p
