Read tat some mummies have some concerns on GD. Previous post is more for sharing purposes and not to cause any alarm or pinic among mummies. As i had went thru it for 1st preg, i know it's hard and it's being a emotional coaster for me for the last 2 mths before i gave birth. My doc (monitoring my GD results) was very strict with me and will remand me if i have even 2 high readings per week and there are some high readings tat debat whether shd lead to inject insulin. Ended up me crying in gynae's office and my gynae ordered a urine test to show my overall sugar level (dun know what's the test called liao). It's to collect one gallon of urine and sent for lab tests to show the sugar level collected for 24 hrs. It's a long wait and emotional stain on me and luckily lab test results shows tat i passed and i dun not need to go for insulin. In order to prevent further stress added on to me, my gynae took over and monitor my sugar levels till i deliver (bcos i got high BP and he din want to stress me further). I'm glad tat my gynae took care of me very well (althou i need to go back to clinic at least 3 times a week + covered me with one mth MC to take a break fr my stressful work). After birth, i suffered fr post-emclasspia effect and need blood tranfusion. It took me at 2 yrs to think whether to hve no2.
I guess as long yr diet is healthy, not so much into junk food, no medical history and bb weight is not increased suddenly, there might not be a cause of alarm. Just take food with moderation and continue to maintain a healthy diet. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]
