Me still bringing BB to swim tomorrow. Hehe!!

Just now went shopping, wanted to buy ergo carrier. So daddy decided to test it out at the shop. Kayden cry and cry. Then we decided to try baby bjorn.. this time round, i become the one to test it. He was so happy in it. So decided to buy baby bjorn synergy.. daddy pay money. Yeah!! Haha!!

Hi. I'm a July mummy. My girl is delivered on 26/7. Am wondering are there mummies who decide or have relactated. I'm currently trying to do so n needed advice. Thank you.

Hi mommies ,

My boy just went for his vaccination on tues n I would like to share my experience

Before we went for vaccination , I asked adv from mummies from this thread , n were adv to give bb barley (holand) / pao sen . I seeked adv from a Chinese physician he had suggested Lao pao sen for boys n pearl powder for girls . Barley is too cold for bb .. So I gave 1 ml of Lao pao sen to my boy

Day of vaccination:

Preventive measures : PCM syrup 3 hours after jab

Immediately after jab , I gave warm

Towel compression ~ 15 mins

No obvious rise in temperature noted in first 20 hours

Noted temperature rise to 37.3•c - gave PCM syrup n cool pad

My boy didn't develop any obvious loss of appetite or crankiness .. M glad his first vaccination went well

We got boy a swimming tub too , will let him try swim tmw ! Hope it will go well !

Jia you jia you to all great mommies out there !

Jastine: I oso haf probia in bringing bb out alone. Till now yet to try it out lo, somemore I'm one who get kan jiong easily when bb cry & I'm alone outside...

My 12 wk old ger doesn't seems like she can flip soon leh. Tink some of the babies r expert alrdy. Getting worried cos she doesn't even attempt to do flipping, she jux happily lie on her back. I jux started having tummy time wif her, does it reali help?

Quartzie: my boy just turned 3 months 2 days ago. I was quite worried as he couldn't hold his head steady yet. Then out of a sudden, he could! So don't worry, she will surprise you one day.

Btw, I believe tummy time does work. When you put baby on their tummies they will tend to want to lift their heads (whether anot its successful is not impt). This trains their muscles there and soon the muscles there will be strong enough.

bbbliss>> Same here! My son's favourite place is his FP rocker...he can sit or even sleep on it for hours. Back for his back/spine le.

suntan>> I uses the "dimple" pillow aka hole in the middle type for my son to sleep on but still prefers him to alternate on his side cuz i wonder how much the dimple thing will help le...hehe.

Quartzie: I'm quite ok with bringing my girl out alone cause her pattern quite easy one. She will cry when she wants either Milk or Sleepy or She wanna walk walk see see. My girl cannot stand it when we're not moving. That's why sometimes when I'm out eating, half way through I need to excuse from the table to go "gai gai" with my girl.

Flipping around:

My girl doesn't seems like she can flip soon TOO! Put her on her back, she will just happily kick kick punch punch. Put her on her tummy, she will just wriggle wriggle. Put her on her side, she will just chew on her hand. :p

Holding her head:

My girl still can't hold her head yet too. Head still very wobbly. And I think she also can't really control her neck muscles. Sometimes (during tummy time), she will lift her head then SUDDENLY her head will drop and hit the bed as though no control. Quite scary. :p she will cry when the impact onto the bed is too strong.

Okies more tummy time for my Lazy ger...

Relieved to hear tat flipping is a 4 mth skill, tot my ger slow lor

Flat head: my ger last time oso flat head, nw better. Normally after feed I burp bb and rub his head softly in circular movements. For her noon naps, I put her in "yaolan". At nite I let her slp on the "dented" pillow.

i'm so sad.. after feeding my bb, she seems hungry again in less than 2 hours. my supply really went so low, like dropped by 50% le.

anyone started dropping hair? my hair like dropping a lot recently. very scared leh.

Sweetkiss, is yr bb having growth spurt? my bb usually feed every 1.5-2hrs. But lately seems to stretch longer. And she only latch on for 10mins. Easily distracted. Earlier at taka nursing room she was more interested in smiling at the wallpaper than breastfeeding.

Swimming tub:

Just let use the swimming tub i bought from here:

http://yourbabycanswim.blogspot.com/

The tub is quite big...and ya...need super a lot of water to fill. I only fill half of it. I make the mistake of putting the tub at the entrance of my toilet...cause after filling it up, i realised that it's SUPER DUPER heavy!!! So in the end after bb swim, need to transfer the water into 3-4 tubs then drain away the rest just to move the tub! :p

So next time we gg to fill it up at another spot and keep the water for the next swim. We plan to let my girl swim every 2 days...since weather nowadays so hot!! my chubby girl keep sweating...sweat until body sticky sticky.

babycoco: my bb on partial FM and BM.. she takes about 150-170ml every 3 hrs so far. no signs of growth spurt as her intake has been consistent. Today is my first weekend after starting work. i decided to latch her instead of pumping. my supply not enough cos in less than 2 hrs she wanted milk again... i believe both my breasts dont even have 150ml of milk! and i cant do anything to increase it because no matter wad, i can only pump once every 7-8 hrs when i am working. totally affect my supply man.

Jastine,

I got the tub too. Put both my boys in to swim together! They had fun! Yes it uses up lotsa water. No regrets coz both boys were totally enjoying themselves! Only worry is tt since I intend to recycle the water, afraid older son may try go into tub with our knowledge... Anyway, left it at the utility area behind our kitchen.. Part time helper gonna use the water to clean house tomorrow...

morning everybody!

serene: oh the photos are so nice!!!!!! the babies look so good in their customised bodysuits. Good job to all the babies & mommies & nothing forgetting the daddies as well =)

ica: my bb's right eye oso sometime got double eyelid sometimes don't haha. I have double eyelid, my hubby's single. Guess bb still deciding who to take after haha.

vernie: it's oso on FB!

Last night, hubby throw his tantrum at Kayden again. This time I was very pissed with him liao. He practically "drag" my crying baby from the cot to our bed and my crying baby was horrified by his action and scream his lungs out. I quickly took my boy away from him and hug him close and try to calm him down.. after a while, he manage to stop crying and I hug him for awhile while he sleep before I put him back in the cot.

Hubby was still sitting on the bed, looking angry and frustrated. I ask him why he "drag" BB like that.. he say everytime without fail, when he try to feed the child and put him to bed, it is never successful. I told him "That is not a bloody hell good reason to drag my son in that way". Hubby asked me why I always put him to bed and BB can sleep for long hours but when he does it, BB never sleep more than 1hr like that. I told him it is just who BB is use to. I am the one to feed him, carry him, cuddle him to bed and take care of him most of the time at night and during weekend. Of cos he will turn to me more and I have a better technique as compared to him. Practice makes perfect.

If he wan his son to be closer, then be patience and pay more attention to him.

At 4.30am, BB woke up to drink milk, hubby woke up to feed him. This time he was more patience with him. After drinking milk, BB didn't sleep which is expected cause normally he wanna cuddle to sleep at this time. I never tell hubby and see what he will do to BB. This time round, he talk to BB and BB talk back to him. He change his diaper and hold BB in his arm and trying his best to coax him to sleep. I told hubby to bring BB to our bed and I cuddle him lying down and he immediately fell asleep till this morning 7.30am.. he was holding on to my night gown very tightly.

I don't why despite me telling hubby alot of times not to lose temper with BB, he always will. This time round I am really angry with him lo.

ica -- been bz with bb and msn! haha... seldom come in, mostly in BP spending all my money away.. hahaha...

the PS was FUN... hahha.. a bit messy thou but well... the pictures says it all la

ann- how was the swimming lesson yesterday?

I saw a toddler swimming and hor.. think her whole feet can touch the water le! i wonder what she playing since she is like "hopping" in the water.

Wa! the pics turn out so good!

Serene, well oragnise le~ i see the pic so so nice and seems really fun! GOsh.. i missed it..

ann- ya.. at times nid to tell them what to do one lei.. my hubby got a very good patience than me, but when feeding time he also like cant finish feeding him one... my boy at times nid 1/2 time..

have to train our hubby to do like what we did lorz..

But im so surprise that he can hoax him to sleep and sleep longer~ why i cant do that.. haha

Jonas: Swimming lesson was good yesterday. He swam for 20mins (5mins more than the last lesson). Intend to slowly increase the swimming time for him till 30mins. After his swim, he fell asleep in the carrier. Haha!!!

Ya lo.. told him again and again lo.. I have half the mind of bringing my boy to the guest room to sleep last night. But then the guest room bed so small.. scared I squashed him in my sleep. Haha!!

My hubby's patience is the shortest especially during his bedtime.

How come u never go PS yesterday?

Ann, at least ur hubby is willing to help.. my hubby only helps to make milk and wash bottles, the rest i do..

once, while i was still on ML, he was working from home.. my bb was v cranky so i told him to look after for awhile i go wash bb stuffs. he got so impatient & scolded me! he said he is supposed to work from home on his project and not on leave to help me look after baby. i was so pissed at him for being selfish, so i packed my stuff and brought bb to my mum's place to stay. didnt return till he apologised. haha!

anyway i have an issue with my MIL lor. she keeps coming up to my house every sunday. i think it is ok except that she will tend to stay for hours! like early afternoon to nite time.. i need to have freedom in my house esp on sundays cos i dun go out!

i did tell my hubby but he not happy say i am biased towards his mum.. and worse still now his mum will come to do housework (though i told her not to) so in hubby's eyes his mum is sooo nice and i am being unappreciative!

so i suggested that we go her house instead, at least we can decide when to leave.. and guess wad? when we told my MIL we will go to her place ytd, she still insisted to come over saying "if u all come my house sure very fast go back one".. zzz

then she told us to have dinner at her place, after that 8pm liao and she STILL came up to our house to do housework. i felt so paiseh and told her NO NEED but she dun wan to leave. i dunno why! ever since i got a baby she is so bloody sticky to us.. and she keeps carrying and snatching baby from me, which i hate!

Sweetkiss- last time my MIL always came to my house to cook, and when she cooked, she is very untidy and made my house and kitchen very oily. I hinted to her many times no need come to my house to cook, we can buy..blah blah..finally she got the message one day.

She also pisses me off many times cos she would always come to my house, not greet anyone, and just rush to my room or my mum's room and carry bb even when bb is sleeping! She would then make so much noise and wake bb up and then talk to bb in hokkien. Very irritating. She also makes my mum very angry cos she would not knock on the door and just dash in just to carry bb away! Is literally dash. very gancheong type.

At least your MIL helps with the housework, my MIL is only interested in playing with bb and not doing anything else to help.

Sweetkiss: Ya.. he will help me with BB at times.. esp when I make big complains.. I am the one who make milk and wash the bottles too.. he will feed and leave it there till next morning lo. During daytime is I nag then he wash. Very lazy one. But if he wanna throw his tantrum at my boy like that, then i rather he not take care. He is just a BB, what does he know?? He is only openly expressing himself nia. Nothing wrong ma, yet kanna treated so badly. Poor boy.

Haha... luckily my MIL doesn't do that. She only wan me to have more BBs asap nia. Haha!!! But our parents had been really supportive esp my in law side. My MIL also understand my concerns and worries. So she never insist that I do anything in her way, she will slowly let me take my own pace at my own time. Never force me to do anything one.

charliebrown: does ur MIL still does that now? actually i agree w my hubby tat i am juz biased towards her. if is my own mum, i wont mind. that's because i totally dislike my MIL rite on the day i gave birth. many stories..

when i was staying with my mum during confinement, she comes every day to see baby without informing too. sometimes come in big groups with uncles, grandma, aunties, etc! my mum totally nt prepared lor. normal days she will come and stay till 10pm+, till my parents really nt happy.

cos is like, come up nv inform and still stay till so late. my parents need to rest & work one lo. finally she got the hint that my parents nt happy, stopped coming till i moved to my own house and her pattern come back. she also requested for a set of my hse keys which i nv give.

Ann: yes when i quarrelled with my hubby, i told him that the no. of times he change diapers or feed bb can be counted with my fingers! last time when bb cry, he will just carry her for less than 5 min then try his luck by putting her on the rocker or back to bed. so not-fatherly one!

Sweetkiss: Your MIL really sticky lei. She scared next time BB and her not close is it? Maybe feeling insecured and lonely ba.

For my hubby, he changed diapers alot of time la.. but just that I don't like his temper on my boy nia.

Hi just wanted to check with mummies who give birth by casearean, do u feel that the wound still have a tingling feeling at times? My bb is 12mth old, but my wound still feel weird. Wonder when will fully be ok. Sigh.

Ann: ya lor... she damn sticky.. she is the type who will hold hubby's hand when we go out together. i always tease him say, he and his mum couple, i calefare. haha!!!

i really dun mind her coming de just that not for such long hrs.. so now i thinking of finding some Sunday classes for my baby then can use it as an excuse to bring bb out in the afternoon. :S

Ann,

encourage ur hb more...think of it...he's trying to help but he feels bb no like him always 'bullies' him....if we no give them some encouraging words, soon they'll turn their heads away

Sweetkiss: Go Baby yoga class, swim class, actually not much lei.. unless u wanna take enrichment class at Happy Train (past known at Little Neuro Tree) or schichida. But the classes quite ex. Not sure worth or not.

Suika: I explained to him alot of time le and encourage him to be more patience and spend more time with his son. When feeding BB, he also like to focus on tv more than on BB. Sometime I even have to off the tv to get him to concentrate on feeding his son. Last time, he always blame it on my CL saying she always snatch BB away from him. Cos my CL know his temper real short and bad so scared he throw his tantrum at BB which is what is happening now.

Now he got all his chances to take care of BB, he keep complaining he doesn't have his own time to do his own things.

This should be what I should complain abt and not him lo.

Sweetkiss: Yeah, my MIL still does that now, always come to my house. Cooking she has stopped. Heng.

My hubby also abit lazy leh, not very pro active in taking care of our boy. He also likes to play with bb only. He only feeds bb. I asked him to learn to bathe bb, so maybe he can try next time, he not interested. Cut bb's nails, he also scared. Changing of diapers he also not doing already. Haiz..maybe most males are lidat. too relax.

ann,

guys r like that...they're not like us wanting the special bonding w bb...so we'll hv to b patient w the daddy as well

Suika: I think guys wan the special bonding with BB but just dun wanna put in the effort for it. They wan the bonding to come easily kind.

Sweetkiss: I think they know la.. Play is find daddy, the rest all find mummy. Haha!!! My boy also like that.. when go gai gai.. wan daddy to carry him. If I carry him, he will cry or fuss cos he dun wanna drink milk or sleep. Haha!!
