Junie: Sama sama.. My CL also la. Night she no slp she unhappy But noon she got nap ma. Night she can nap early but she watch TV without permission. stupid CL. Ownself dun wan rest than my BB cry continue slp..

Last few days she happy cause feed FM i no BM now got EBM she unhappy lor..

Mine also like to do things on her own. I complain to the person who intro her now she ask before doing something. U can try that.

ceres -- oh... how come? i remember recently she got supa actively and she will kick until she wake up.... so i swaddled her.. got better but recently the weather is super hot... so i didnt swaddle her except at night..

when celeste's wind is very bad that time we give her every 6 hourly... but 1/4 teaspoon.. now im giving her once a day 1 teaspoon before bath..



if i see her have prob releasing poo or air and she kek until very jia lat.. i will give her another 1/4...

i have not cut my bb finger nails & toe nails.. dono when should cut.. his hands are alway all over his face.. haiyo.. lucky, still got some mittens in small size.. so it will not fall off eaily.. if not his face sure disfigure le.. hahahahah~~

Ur CL give Gripe water to bb becoz, bb tend to reject water.. with gripe water, bb tend to drink more water.. Ur CL so idiot.. thinking drink more water, bb will not get hungry easily.. idiot..

 
ah? Issit? But my BB still drink his water (only 1 small teaspoon) each time he hiccups and get hungry every 3-4hrs...



CL said gripe water good for BB's digestion woh...tho my HB not very convinced, hehee.

plus gripe water is a bit sweet sweet flavour.. bb love it.. might even get used to it.. hmmm~~ try to cut down lorz.. heehee~~

i'm under woody from CCK....he's not so pro natural...during my first birth he even scolded mi telling me to lower dwn my volume (he got other patients there total 3 of us in the delivery suite that nite) keep asking mi if i wana take epi but this time he's very encouraging instead....even guided mi in the breathing oso coz he saw me went pale when i took the blood test n the booster jab to boost up bb's lungs....

if u no wan epi then juz reject....there's nothing he can do...heehee



Irene: comes s guests even better lor...dun come n disturb...i always welcomes my FIL n BIL but not my MIL....she've done so much things till nw i totally no give her face at all liao...ahma or popo it's still the girl's side....the guy side shd n call s nai nai but dialect will depends liao....my ang side is canto so shd b called as ma(3) ma(3)...she's techew call wad shit i no bothers...it's her own problem....by rite girl's side shd b called s gua(3) ma n gua gong....gua meaning girls side (i did researched on this...gg round asking ppl)....since his family is canto then i can let them call my parents ahma ahgong liao mah...to me it's very simply, since ur daughter's kids r calling u ahgong ahma then my kids cannot call the same...that's it....things r so simply....my MIL even worst lor....tells bb to address my godmum as nai ma.....that's so RUBBISH! my godmum hears liao so angry tells her off

 
nails: I cut already few days ago! Wasn't very difficult.. just have someone help hold baby's hands steady and you just use a baby nail clipper or the pigeon scissors (i use this) to snip off. However I still let my baby wear mittens.. probably take off when hes 2 mth old or so.



gripe water: I dont know leh, my mom also say can feed baby gripe water abit. But i never even buy a bottle yet and so far no issues with son. However I do apply ru yi oil once a day after his bath.



Yellow mucus in eyes: Or I call it bak sai.. my son also had super alot on his right eye all the time. But I was the one that posted the above.. that it is actually a blocked tear duct.. true enough now that my son is 1mth old.. the bak sai is lesser n lesser. I know its very irritating for us to see that yellow crap in their eyes.. my hubby and I always try n clear away until it becomes quite obsessive!!



sneezing: every baby sneezes lah. dont worry its not that they are cold.

 
Today brought Keila (dun know why I type Celeste :p)to a GP cuz her right butt cheek has a pimple like lump, somemore it feels hard and filled with pus... show to GP,he said its the BCG jap scar, dun worry... but i said it looks like its been inflamed, the doc said its normal...does your BB's BCG scar protrudes?

Just wanna check anyone using Aveny Single electric pump? I have been using the pump for almost 3 weeks and it has been serving me well all these while till this morning, when I find the strength of the pump seems to be getting weaker. Thus, I can't really express my BM fully and I'm not too comfortable with latching. Anyone experience this? The strength of the pump getting weaker and any advices on what can be done? Will be quite jialat if I can't use the pump!!!

 
Eliss: My boy's BCG jab scar also the same, like what you said, it feels hard and look like it is filled with pus. My PD says it normal too so I didnt bother about it.



7th Month - Today is the first day of 7th month, please do not bring baby out too often, if need be, bring baby home before 6-7pm. I heard that this year's 7th month is the most fierce for the past 60 years.

 
Rashes : My boy also have rashes 2-3 weeks ago, I went to the PD and was given "Fucidin H". It works very well for my boy. But as rashes comes and go very often, I am like putting it every other day.

 
Vivi : 2 months = 8 weeks, I believe you should return on 30th August. Why are you taking only 2 months ML? Company encash the remaining ML to you?

i think i will still give bb wear mitten.. don wan bb to suck his finger.. he so damn clever.. when he cry, & no 1 bother him, his hand will eventually find it way to his mouth.. and he will auto keep quiet.. and every times i nid to take his hand off.. luck got mitten.. if not he already get used to sucking finger le.. LOL~~



but then, everyday i put him on tummy time.. i will take off his mittens & booties.. also got help his motor dvlp.. :D

mrslong: it is true that some bb 'pantang' n they can feel the unborn of ur friend but using the leaves to bath bb i'm not so sure if it works but for mi although i'm a free thinker i do believed that such things do exist coz there's once my boi was v cranky all of the sudden for many days till none of us can tahan n my godmum suggest that we pray to the 'bed deity' to help look after bb n after that it works....bb more calm after that n another time was my boi was crying very hard for nothing till very late at nite n no choice my godmum suggested we juz pray to 'ti gong' asking to calm bb dwn (this was the best part)....after bai bai my boi juz stop crying...almost immediate...... for mi so long not asking my kids to eat or drink those funnie stuffs i'm willing to try s my boi last time it's super hard to take care.....mayb u shd tok to ur CL n tells her to discuss w u first before she does such stuffs....it's juz a respect to parents s well mah



gripe water: i thought gripe water is for 1mth n above? less then 1mth can take meh?

 
Nails: we cut bb's nails twice already, once at 4wks and again at 6wks. Mittens should remove at 2-3 mths to encourage motor development skills. But must check nails every 2-3 days and trim often. My bb also scratches her face when frustrated. Poor girl.



Just to rant, cannot stand it when mil says bb is cold every time she sneezes and says hungry just because mouth open. Maybe my baby wants to talk mah. And she always sounds impatient when trying to pacify bb. Bb can sense and will cry louder so I or hubby will take over and carry bb, then she not happy. Irritating. My hubby also understands that she's a difficult person but says only he can complain coz she's his mother haha

Hershey: my girl oso like that....i swaddle her so tight liao her hands can still find her way out n starts to put in his mouth....sometimes if our fingers r near her hands she'll grab n put into her mouth....so funnie coz got once she grab her korkor's finger n put into her mouth n my boi look at me giving mi the funny look then i quickly took it out coz dirty mah

 
supergal, yes i am using Avent single electric pump, i spoilt it once cuz i forced the motor out from the rubber thing and the white thing became loose. I went to Philips service centre which is located at toapayoh lorong 1, 820A, TP4 building (can double check on internet, hope i rem correctly). Their customer care service is VERY GOOD, i am very impressed, they changed a new one for me straight away, and they keep the old pump. So now i am using a brand new pump wahahha..



suction is good for me.. i can finish pumping in 15-20 minutes for both breasts nowadays.

 
peanut: MIL is like that 1 lah....i oso hv lots of problems with mine....but at least ur hb understands that his mother is a difficult person...but no matter wad it's still his mother so let him deal w her lor



grace: my armpit oso very dark....raise up my arm can see from mirror it's whole patch dark dark....wonders when will lighten up ley... so ugly wor

whenever bb sneeze, my mil will keep saying "bb cold.. nid to cover this & TAT.. CAnnot on fan/air-con.. if not fan canot facing directly bb or watever.."



now is my hubby turn to say all this stupid things.. i super angry & irritated..

I asked him,"when dusty or itcy, will u sneeze??

PLUS i am his mother, & i am taking care of him.. who else knows him better then me??"



than my hubby keep quiet... LOL~~

Ceres: my boy also like to make the “eh eh eh” sound. Started when he was just a few days old. Now he is 23 days old and he “eh eh eh” less but cry more. Usually we swaddle him and carry him, pat pat him and rock him in arms and he will settle down. We also make the “eh eh eh” sound together with him and he tend to keep quiet after that.



Mittens & fingernails: my boi boi scratched his face once, see already very heartache. So now we always make sure he wears his mittens. But some mittens come off easily so my hubby use tape to secure it. His fingernails are still quite soft but we finally managed to cut yesterday. Previously we only use the emery board to file the fingertips so that it is not so sharp. My hubby will cut bb’s nails when he is peacefully sucking breast milk. According to my hubby, it is easier to cut when u press and push the flesh near the fingernails forward a bit. Think I will only remove the mittens after 2-3 month if he stops doing those dangerous acts that would result in scratching his face.



Suika: wow u really done ur research. Ur MIL is so duhz… where got ppl call godma as nai ma one! Faintz… BTW, sounds like ur in-laws side nvr really care about u since u were pregnant. Me also similar…haiz.. Sometime I complain to my hubby and say that bb will be having the same surename as ur family, but they so bo chup, I really feel like letting bb take my surename instead =P



Peanut: my parents & MIL also said the same thing about bb b4. very irritating indeed. I tried to explain to them but it doesn’t always work. When I complain to my hubby, his reply is always “old ppl r like that one la, just be more tolerant”…=( But I realized, not just old ppl will have just funny remarks. Yesterday my sis came and carried the baby and then told me that bb seems to be having nightmare. But actually it is just startle reflex haha. Well I guess most ppl are not as patient and understanding as the mom when it comes to taking care of our bb.

 
oh hershey, ur girl girl is so cute!!! make me feel like having a 2nd bb in future so that i can see the reaction of my boy boy haha.

i cut her nails 3 times.. pls pls... DO NOT BUY NAIL CLIPPER.. use scissors pls pls pls.. haha.. i, this bad mommy cut her finger twices with that clipper.. until i heart pain like anything and then went to buy scissors... then ok liao.. hahaha...

Any of ur bb keeps puking milk out & is a pool of milk plus strips of milk like bean curd? Mine very often after feed will puke 6-7times or more. Some time even out from nose.

 
just finished my BB's F8 infant shoot. BB's not very cooperative...kept crying cuz didn't take his afternoon nap le.



My poor BB, heehe.



Just told my HB to go tell the CL later abt the "pangtang" thing. Told him actually me more pissed with the CL for not consulting us on the bath thingy. If she had consulted us with the suggestion, we could at least consider but not doing things her way without informing us! No respect!

Thanks alot for letting me know! So when we remove the rubber suction thingy, we got to be really careful then I supposed!



I just realised that the white rubber suction filter is broken in my case...lucky still got spare parts and I immediately change it...lucky my pump strength back to normal liao...if not my breasts will be so painful cos of engorgement.



Was wondering if we can get those spare parts separately? Just as standby...a little scared now if my pump fails on me

Ceres- sounds serious did u call doc n ask? My nephew last time ask throw up after milk. (really like merlion) When my sis decided to bring him to Doc, he start throwing out greenish stuffs. He suffer from intestine twist (nvr develop well) not too sure what is the term for it. He undergo operation when he is 3weeks old. Now he is healthy boy turning two yrs old soon.



Jus to share the story. Hope i din scare u. Ur bb might jus indigestion, to puke out those "extra" milk consume. Cond to observe or let doc know the situation.



Mine is burp, like he going to throw out, den cond with one cough like he choke.

 
ceres -- wah.. mine will.. remember to clean bb tongue after that.. if not will have bacteria de... but mine not so frequent la.. once or twice a day..



try to burp bb every 10 mins of feed.. keep bb upright (on ur shoulders) after feed...



celeste will only spit when i carry her too fast and when i try to stuff my nipples into her mouth and she dun wan... lol.. or when she kek too much

My bb also keep puking milk and even from the nose as well. I hve sort advice from PD and such bbs are suffering from reflux due to some weak muscle in their stomach.



Feed her in a slightly angled position not lying flat. Elevate her mattress with a pillow so this will minimise her prosetting the milk while sleeping.



IF your bb's reflux is very bad, you can ask for medication from the PD

Irene: my MIL no bother at all 1 lor....during my #1 i very weak asked her to cook for mi eat for dinner she gave all sorts of reasons saying she back hm v late lah when hm liao by the time finish cooking v late liao lah....no time go marketing etc etc....so damn pissed off....during preg when we went back she no even bother to ask if i eat liao anot still hungry anot she juz eat infront of mi n later continue her MJ...her friends was the 1 that share their food w mi....when bb born liao she keep coming to disturb lor...she did alot of stuffs which i think nobody can tahan her 1 lor so mi now must gather all the rite facts...if she dares to confront mi i'll SHOOT her back....lolX



now bb still small n soft so nails cannot use clipper cut

hi.. check with all mummies here.. when you all do the massage for your breasts before pumping, you all will massage the aerola area as well?

Do you all find that its kinda 'lumpy' at that area? Wonder if its blocked ducts..

 

immas>> each time before i pump, i'll put a warm towel on my boobs & then follow with a short massage, which includes part of the aerola in one of the massage strokes.
