Freezing EBM> I will store till the max of the bottle/bag then freeze it.
Burping> I will prop baby on my knee, lean him forward, using my hand to support his chin, kiap one side of his arm pit and using part of my forearm for him to rest his chest on. Then I will pat his back, got the "pok pok" sound. Don't flatten your palm, must curve/cup it. If baby still doesn't burp after a long time and has fallen asleep, don't let baby lie flat on back. Let baby sleep on the side in case he burps while sleeping and choke on the reflux milk.
Episiotomy wound> I experienced pain initially too! It's normal. But I didn't want to eat painkillers... so I used my Boppy cushion to sit on and tried not to put too much weight on that area. The pain only went away 1.5 weeks after delivery. Try to do 100 times kegel exercise every day as it helps to promote blood circulation and aids in healing of the wound. If you can, take a basin, put warm water and salt and sit down in it. But I didn't do that... quite troublesome. Try to drink more fluids coz if your pee is very concentrated, your wound may sting even more when you pee.
Shower/Shampoo> I bathe and wash my hair everyday! Buey tahan if I don't! Super gross lor. I even use normal water even though my CL prepares the herbal water for me. Hehe.
Flabby tummy> It will get better after the massage, and as the days go by. I read in an article that instead of doing crunches to tighten the area, pretend that you got a string tied to your belly button and it's being pulled towards your spine. This will help in overall posture as well.
My colleague told me that if 100% EBM, the milk supply will drop eventually coz the baby suckling is different from a pump. Is that true? I'm so worried coz I'm 100% EBM coz I can't latch my baby on. Guess I should make an appt to see the LC again... =( Baby gets so frustrated everytime I try to latch him on, and wails and cries, and doesn't open his mouth wide enough for me to shove enough in!
