ya, babies make such funny noises. it's their way of communicating to us. once on Oprah, there's this lady who taught other moms to learn to listen to their babies' grunts, cries, etc - each means different thing. am trying to search for the video or whatever - wanna learn to distinguish. now i of know 1 from my baby - short "eh eh" sound, very sad & pathetic sounding, not exactly crying but complaining that i'm too slow! babies...sigh

Hershey -- how bout tummy time? or buy a tummy binder from kiddy palace to cover bb belly button? u are bfing? my PD ask me not to eat any dairy products cause bb got wind. and she got better. u wanna try? brocolli, onions, ginger.. try to stop for a while too.. then re introduce and see which is the cause of it. but PD say.. dairy is always the biggest cause

not to worry.. baby umbilical cord will drop off by itself, is the matter of time.. some baby drop off faster.. some baby takes a little bit more time to drop off.. No worries..

 
Ica, yah bottle feeding. I changed the teat recently as baby drinks very slowly, can take up to 45 mins to finish 60ml. I wonder could it be the teats bigger thus milk flow faster that causes her to take in more air? Otherwise, I hv been feeding and burping her correctly.

Hershey, does the stomach wind affects ur baby's feeding? Mine cries while feeding, see Liao heartpain. She hungry but bcos of the wind, drink until so xin ku. The wind causes her to spit up lots of milk too.

 
Ica, thanks for sharing that. After taking 6 capsules a day, do u see improvement? And the result can be seen immediately?

ya.. somehow the wind affect him to spit fair amount of milk out.. and some times also vomit too... some times the milk not only spit out from his mouth, also from his nose.. heart pain..



Ya.. he hungry, but still drink alot.. but also whine alot while i move him abit here & there.. Some time carry also he make noise.. Most prob the wind in this tummy make him so uncomforty.. hai~~ sad..

 
I sleep in aircon room every night. Daytime got switch on fan if is hot. I broke so many confinement rules le. Bathing and washing hair with normal heater water. Touches water so many times daily. Drink plain water. Wear shorts instead of long pants. Go out never wear jacket. Never drink finish the tonic soup. Drink refrigerated fresh milk.. Etc

Next time I old Liao jialat... Haha.

Thanks for kind comment on the photo. I find that when I get a bit uptight, looking at my boys' pictures does relax me a lot. Trying to organise the pictures. Till now I've not developed any of my #1 pics!



I massage my boy's tummy everyday using what you've posted daily too! I make sure he has no wind in his small tummy. He will fart after the massage after some time.



But hor, today is the third day since his last poop.



Confinement,

I also indulge and started drinking my morning kopi (from coffee shop)again.. only thing is I make sure I feed my boy first b4 I drink. Had an experience whereby I fed my #1 after drinking coffee... outcome? BB stayed awake and hyper the whole day!

i also slip slip plain water.. LOL~~ sometimes, i really cannot take it, i went to bath my body using water heater.. :p

But i don dare to wash my hair.. Coz i have mirgraine.. i scare it will relapse again more worse more suffering than i die..

me too, nv wear jacket when go out walk walk.. heehee~~ but i wear 3/4 pants lahz.. :D

S long s the tonic soup is not disgusting, i will bottom up all.. coz cannot drink plain water mahz.. heehee~~

 
Phy, even when I no press her tummy, her legs still curl up, once lie on the bed, she will move her hands n legs like doing exercise. And that always cause her to spit up milk or hiccups. And I didn't put her down immed aft feeding. I always wait at least 20 mins aft feed then let her lie down. But still can spit up milk...

Hershey, last time aft giving birth to my first child, I told myself I wan to follow confinement rules for the next one to bu my body back. In the end I never... haha. If got #3 then see how again.



Anyone knows when is a good time to try to conceive again? I thought of having a rabbit baby but duno body has recover good enough to be preg again or not.

Hershey -- ya, milo cannot. actually hor.. for bb celeste... my milo intake was the major cause of it. cause confinement i only take milo (dairy) ma.. as for ginger, i dun eat the ginger itself lor.. then i try to cut down on food with ginger.. as for brocolli, i totally stopped. cause now, after confinement, i testing a lot of food and brocolli also cause quite a lot of wind for her. chocolate also cannot.. milk shake, milk.. all these all cannot hor.. why not u stop all these and see if ur bb condition improves. if it does, then its ur diet thats the main cause.

Ya boy, that WHOLE day from 7am to 8pm my #1 refused to sleep... just because of the 1 big cup of kopi I drank in the morning. It was then fed, entertained, carried... haha, so hor, gotta watch what we eat if we BF.

babycoco - erm initially I though of ordering tinkat but not many serves lunch so i decided to prepare my own lunch lor.... not sure how can I going to manage to cook...we'll see how la... now i'm bottle feed my gal with EBM, hopefully can gauge her timing better....



By the way, I have the option of asking my MIL to bring me lunch... but i dun want to trouble her yet... so we see how my first week fare...

Jastine Lee, you are doing the right thing. What is the most important is our babies. All these silly women (be it mother or mother in law) are just a pain in the butt.



They have had their time and now it is our turn to bring our children. So ignore everyone and lets concentrate on our little darlings.

Hershey, I got 2 girls. Hubby wanted to try for a boy. But to me is the same lah, I dun mind 3 girls also. Hehe. Be it boy or girl, still our children, healthy can already. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

 
Hershey -- not all food are the cause of it.. cut all of such food for a few days and see if bb condition got improve or not. if got, then ur diet is the cause of the wind. then, slowly re intro the food.. meaning.. after 3 days of clearance, u start to eat egg then wait for 1-2 days to see if bb have wind.. if not, then egg is not the cause.. then move on to brocolli.. and repeat this until u find the culprit.



bo pian.. no one help me.. i have to read up.. if not bb not well taken care of i will be very heart pain..

serene, wah looks like your bb was posing for that picture! very cute. i've also cut down on all dairy products, but seems like my bb still has a lot of wind. she starts crying around this time, can last till 8, then she'll fall asleep. so headache, dunno what else to do. gripe water also doesn't seem to help.



eliss, i'm also thinking of ordering tingkat, save me the trouble of going supermarket, market to buy groceries.

babycoco - if you are ordering tinkat for dinner then okay to order for 2 pax lor... my dinner I will bring my BB to my inlaw hse so I only need to fix my lunch

 
Hershey yup.. note it down, wat time u eat wat.. run this project for a week or two.. then see if ur bb condition will improve ma.. PD told me bb will react to certain food we eat..



babycoco -- she was in the stroller and hubby waited for her to smile.. haha.. she like to smile la.. keke..



i was super worried for celeste la. she cant sleep well cause she will wake up to fart and poo and disrupt her sleep.. so i start to monitor my parenting habits and see if its my habitual tcc that cause her to be like tat.. for example... never check if her tummy is exposed...



if bb cries at the certain timing and for a fixed duration.. then it might be colic liao. colic got no medication, it will go off as bb grow up...

 
Eliss, sometimes the portion quite big, maybe can keep some for next day's lunch? when i ordered confinement food catering, it was more than enough for me & hubby to share!

 
i agree with bbcoco.. i ordered 2 weeks of confinement tingkat (lunch only) then i eat for lunch and dinner.. i save a lot of $$ wor..

cecil, i agree with your doc to slowly reduce the pumps if you are thinking of tapering off. Not sure if i am stating the obvious, when i pump, i actually combine a few pumps to make 1 feeding of bm to baby. Just note tat chilled milk needs to be consumed within 48 hours...it is quite comforting to see bb drink 1 full feed of bm, instead of taking small quantities like appetiser..

btw, it took me 1 full month to realise that when i had my #1....wonder how come no one tell me...hehehe

Serene, you are sooooo cool to diy everything. this time round, I am more relaxed, leaving most of the work to my CL, next week onwards, i need to start practising cos my CL leaving on national day!

Any mommies tried confinement tingkat & got any to recommend? me thinking of order 1-2 weeks to help me tide over the adjustment period when CL leaves

sillyhp, do you freeze your ebm ? how are you packing them ? am not sure how much qty i should be freezing for each bag.



any mummies freezing ebm ? advice on qty to freeze?

 
i actually not very sure when to start freezing... coz i have to make a trip to Oslo sometime sept for 1 wk, so i need some supply in freezer. plus now chilled EBM is storing around 15 bottles in the fridge which is a bit difficult to manage.



so thinking whther i should start freezing 1 bag everyday.

 


Can check whether need to bind stomach after natural birth with epidurial? Just gave birth to Keegan on 29 jul. My tummy looks like 4 or 5mth pregnant.. Zzz
