Bliss - yes my C-sect date is 5th morning, but I'll be at TMC.
These few days I have this throbbing pain at my left pelvis bone, near the V part. Wonder if its the weight of the BB that causes the pain. Very uncomfortable when walk/stand for too long... sigh...
Geri - is your hubby going to let us see his shots?

she checked and i didnt dilate yet.
Bb was weighted at 2.6kg by the machine.
but when he was born, he was 3.03kg.. so dont worry abt your bb ok.. machine are estimates.. since we see the same doc and use the same machine. =)

Birth Story
Saw Doc on Friday and was told that I could wait since BB's weight is only 2.6kg at 37 weeks 2 days. Doc did a VE but I was not dilated.
Was told to go for long walks and do squats so that it will be easier for me when i deliver..
So I even manage to go cut my hair as planned and went Taka for a walk. As for the squats, I did some on Friday night.
SO the whole night I was not sleeping very well cos baby kept moving and I had some contractions.
Then at 5.30am, i felt warm liquid like menses coming, so I went toilet to check and waterbag has broke. Took awhile to confirm as after the first gush, it wasnt dripping too much...
so i put on my pad..and confirm that it was pink liquid. Proceeded to bath and get ready. Also have to pacify number 1... cos she is so jealous.. Managed to grab breakfast at Macdonalds before arriving at the hospital at 8.30am.
Dr happened to be in hosp so I was lucky to be checked by her before she left for her clinic.
Was already 2cm dilated.. Confirmed for Epi at 10.45am and then was on drip at 12pm. Check cervic at 1pm, still 2-3cm dilated. Then at 3.30pm, I vomitted..thats my sign!! cos the first one also like this..
So nurse checked and I was like 10cm dilated all ready. So nurse called doctor... Doctor arrived at about 4pm, I could feel the head right at the bottom. So was told to push.. push didnt worked that well, so i coughed.. With abt 4 coughs, baby is out.. hehehehe

Thanks, I was expecting him in week 37 because my number 1 came at 37 weeks and 2 days.. so normally they say number 2 comes earlier..
All those in 37 weeks should prepare i guess =)

As for epidural, hmm, they will give a local anesthetic first before the actual one. Some pain there..have to relax but of cos i say only lah, cos i didnt relax too well too..heehee

hmmm grace, could it be the VE that trigger the dilation? after the waterbag burst, the drip was kind of continuous but low amount? i have been having quite a lot of discharge recently, quite worried that I cant tell discharge from water bag leaking.

even the general wards are full...i hope u get yr single room...
even now, i am on waitlist for the single rm.. 4 more before me..ah yo..otherwise i will just stick with the double..save money..

i havent been sleeping.. eating also so much heartburn..
now i can eat properly..hiak hiak..
as for the waterbag, it was a tiny burst then, dripped for awhile, then stopped...then after that dripped again...use a pad to see.
waterbag water is pink in colour cos got mix with blood one...
discharge and waterbag is difference... unless have urine leaks often...then got to monitor more clearly..

oh, u must understand...this is my number 2 wor..the first one took 17hrs lei..
yes, all natural for me.. cos i did natural for number 1 too. so, i guess u check with her on yr possibility for natural instead of csect..i not sure of yr history..
get epi for csect, it will be easier for u to feed bb and not be so groggy like GA.. but its yr call..

Good monring ladies! Did it cross your mind that this weekend maybe our last weekend before we pop?? Hee hee. So must so spend time with your hubby and/or family leh!
On friday my hubby and I went paulaner brauhaus @millenia with frens for dinner and watched soccer. Everyone staring at me coz my tumtum so big and that place is soooooo crowded and rowdy coz of soccer. I so worried someone might juz knock me over accidententally coz all the angmo there so tall and big..hehee So i whole night didnt even dare walk to washroom to pee! Then yesterday went town with hubby to do some shopping! Saw so many dresses on sale and feel like buying for bb's shower but dunno to get pre-preg size 8..or 10 or 12 leh. I wanted to try also scared the salegal scold me and say cannot!Ended up buying only shoes lor. Walked for like 2 hrs before going for dinner.
Then late at night.. my hubby went out with his friends to celebrate his " last weekend before becoming a father"..ma-chiem like bachelor's nightout ..and I stayed home alone to do housework. MY hubby still sleeping now.. hopefully this noon can go out walk walk. Was hoping for a romantic dinner or something but tonight have to do dinner with MIL so cannot le..

AK: Gynae asked me to choose a date that i like this week. Thinking of Fri (25/6) or Sat (26/6) when I am about 38.5 weeks so that I can handover all my work from Mon to Wed/Thu. I actually told my boss I am only going on maternity leave from 1 July though I did warn her the possibility of earlier delivery once I hit full term. Hubby also need to update his boss and reschedule some of his work so that he can be full time with me without work disruption. Kan cheong - this is the last weekend for me. Bb things are all ready - only thing not done is to install car seat.

AK -- i totally understand man... im on weekly CTG now but i wont get to see gynae till 28th.. which i got this strong feeling that he will tell me when to induce liao.. CTG reports are ok and everything gg smoothly. gynae checked for my dilation last week but i wasnt dilated yet and i notice he didnt VE too deep, i think he scared will trigger something and he is on holiday now..
i told myself.. i have exactly 7 days to finish what i need to finish like... do my eye brows, have a good body scrub and eat the food i wanna eat before all these happenings start.. haha..
this whole week, i went to trim my dry ends, cut my fringe, pedicure (cause i cant reach my toes!), wax my legs.. haha.. i went to buy 2 shirts cause i realise that all my shirts are too short and i keep exposing my tummy.. since because i have a tattoo below my naval.. everyone keep staring at my tummy -__- so paiseh...
i keep repacking my hospital bag.. and u know what? my cot is packed with bb things and i had a dream that i was carrying baby and no space for bb to sleep cause cot was too full... WAHAHAHA.. nesting instincts sets in so strongly...
they say once we have nesting instincts, it means that we are gg to deliver soon!! haha... issit true???

grace: you very steady leh! I can imagine you sitting on your bed typing away on your laptop! heehee.. How are you feeling now? got pain? lochia heavy ma? Breast pain ma? is it difficult to latch? wow ..your #1 labour is so long! lucky this time is so swift n easy! no wonder pple alwaz say every preg is diff and u get to taste n experience different things!

serene : YOur doc on holiday now ah. Then u must rem dun walk too much these few days leh. I was thinking of having my C-sect next weekend.. but coz last appt bb still smally so in dilemma. Will see how after my appt on tue. Then during confinement you got no chance to buy leh. Why not try getting this weekend? Coz you'll need it not only for going home but for bringing bb to doc's appt too
AK: I got friends telling me that after birth, our tummy will be ard the size of 5-6 mths tummy. So u can consider bringing wat u used to wear during tat time of ur pregnancy. AK -- u can bring a normal shirt and bring ur maternity pants.. esp with ur wound, u prob need something more comfy.. no jeans ah... cotton material is better..

babycoco -- its brownish clear for me la.. my water bag burst when i was turning to one side.. the a big gush came out machiam like heavy menses.. then i went to toilet to check and shun pian to pee.. after peeing finish, i could still hear water dripping.. and i realise the water is coming out from the virginal area.. then it cont to leak until the contraction kicks in.. u will forget about whatever water, whatever leaking.. haha

I will be delivering in Mt Alvernia. I didnt particularly choose 5th July. My gynae just gave me choose any weekday once I reach my 37 week, so I just choose the 1st day which is a Monday. It is really no choice for me to have to deliver so early at 37 weeks. I have been getting frequent contractions since week 31, was hospitalised in KKH for 1 nite and has been taking Adalat and Ventoline since then to relax the uterus. So my gynae advised me to let bb out once full term at 37 weeks. And since my bb is about 2.5kg at 34 weeks, it should be quite safe to let her out soon. I have taken 2 steriod jabs in KKH tat time to mature bb lungs that time, so it is also quite safe that bb will not have breathing difficulty or lungs problem if born early.
I am bo bian to have to go thru csection this time again, as my 1st pregnancy was emergency c section, and I got preggy again when my 1st boy is only 4 months plus old. So it is advisable to go thru c section again instead of trying naturally, cos my this 2nd delivery will be too close to my 1st one, only 13 months apart. Sigh, bo bian lah. And also my dilation was v v slow. During my 1st labour last yeat, I was induced twice, had labour pain for 5 hours, and had epi and waited for 15 hours in total and I was only 5cm dilated still. So high chances is that I wont be able to dilate fast this time too. So to prevent me from gg thru failed vaginal labour and then emergency c section again, I shall choose elective c section this time.

pain abit..much better than number 1 cos i got epitosomy for that. this one is a natural tear..
breastfeeding ok, but bb is sleepy..
as for tummy from hosp.. its flabby..hahha and look like 2-3mths preg..

Grace: Congratulation!! You make birthing sound so easy. Haha!! I wish mine is the same when the time comes.
Mt A's single room really very popular one. How come they never convert double room to single room for you? I thought that's what they will do if single room is not available.
Induction/C-sec: Seems like a lot of mummies are doing induction or C-sec. My mum told me not to do induction cos it's bad. But I think my mum quite pro C-sec lei.. keep asking me I really dun wanna "carry" BB out ah.. she say if it's a son, better to "carry" BB out than to give birth naturally. Dunno what's the logic behind that.
Despite taking Ventolin, I had contraction throughout the whole day even till now but irregular. I didn't walk much today too except to go for Father's Day lunch and back home. My feet was swollen like a pig trotter. I was telling hubby, dun tell me today I am going to give birth liao. haha!! Hubby was saying if not for the Ventolin, I would have given birth le. I also think quite true too.
