(2010/07) July 2010 MTB

Check up went well at the Gynae's.

Baby still has not engaged onto the right position yet. Moreover, baby is quite big and now I have psyched myself to be open to C-sec also.

Once husband is back, im going to plan dates. Moreover, it is getting quite heavy and uncomfortable for me.

Next week Im 38 weeks and Gynae said that it is safe as baby would be quite developed by then.

CT: My gynae also did the same thing too. Listened to heart beat, checked BB position, measured fundus to pelvic length and did a strep B swab. I'm at 34th week now. She said if my blood sugar continues to be high, then I may have to be induced. Maybe have to go for an ultrasound scan at 37th-38th week to check bb weight.

I'm 37 wks preg now and gynae said baby quite big 3.3kg. Going to see him again next week. He also mentioned I can give birth anytime from now already.

Kepsis - BH It is stomach tightening. SO uncomfortable and iritating..

Yesterday was nigtmare. I almost want to go KKH after midnight. Than i think hard, sure kena go delivery ward Sian ah.. SO i told myself if labour sure got serious backache and regular timing of same pain and even pain killer normal ones will not cure.. So i took panadol 2 tablet, wait for 2 hrs, the pain went off... Can sleep well, than i know not Contraction labour it is BH only.. Body is trying to play around get ready for a real labour..

Julie - I also week 37 on 02 July 2010, will go for the Scan just to finalized everything Gynae says as after week 37, BB is well develop and ready to see the world & she told me not to worry about BB weight anymore and enjoy every moment of the time i have now cause it will end soon within a months time.

Timing plays the Biggest Part.

Those mummies at week 37, you all ARE walking time BOMB. Any time can explodelor, just relax and enjoy this moment, cause each pregancy is different and unique.

Now our fruit of love part of us, in a months time they will be a unique individuals separated from our body.

Morning~ [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Jolyn: Today gonna have massage session with zaiton. Whole body ache... really need a massage.

Ceres still can massage? I thought once we reach week 34 onwards cannot massage whole body can trigger contractions.

Mdm Idah no longer massage me. She says dangerous. Mdm Timah at Toa Payoh my mum regular massager says our back can massage but not the legs incase the veins she pull can cause contraction.

I still dilemma to go for a body massage

Hi CT, I like the way you described:

"Now our fruit of love part of us, in a months time they will be a unique individuals separated from our body."

Wonderful [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

CT: Mdm Idah also told me but she say her massage method differ got massage leg so she say she cannot but she mention some ppl massage differ method is ok for above 32wk. She also mention leg especially foot below cannot massage.

Thank CT!

Just now vomited... suddenly feels like going back to the first trimester, cant stand smell of certain things... haiz...

Thanks Jaya .. Sometimes wished we can put them in and out of our tummy once they are out Hehehehehe..

Kepsis maybe your heatburnt caused you to vomit. Gas in the tummy can also make you want to vomit.

Try small meals and take Gaviscon syrup if you fell the heatburnt is bad.

massage

for my number 1 i did body massage up till the day before i gave birth. i rem i went for a swim then a body massage. the morn after my water bag broke then i went to hospital and gave birth. i was 40 weeks then on the dot. if i didnt give birth i'd have to be induced in 2 day's time .. lol

Kepsis,

Same here... ate wrong stuff this morning and vomited a few rounds...heartburnt set in too [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif] Arggg...

Now munching an apple. Little one seems to like the taste of apples [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Massage,

I did mine last week, think ok bah... Good to get rid of aches b4 going into labour!

Haha CT, WALKING TIME BOMB! Sounds like haha, we can just go into labour and pop out the BB!!! Cute [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Hubby going on a 3-day camp starting on Monday...so I asked him just now if I should still call him if I went into labour in his absence... luckily he said YES!

Cord blood banking

After a talk with Gynae, decided will bank #2's cord blood as well..

Any mummies bank with Cordlife and Stemcord for 2 or more different kids? What are the differences? TIA for answering my queries.

Hi Mummies,

Back from Gynae today...

Today is wk 36 liao... Times files... 1 more wk to go... BB full term!!!

BB nv gain weight.. Still 2.2KG... Well Gynae said acceptable weight... Like tat easy to push!! LOL... So by the time deliver out, estimate will be abt 2.3kg to 2.5kg..

TOday get the admission letter from Gyane... So on standby mode now.. So nervous & scare!

Jasline,

Don't worry much abt BB's weight...will catch up after birth de [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] Anyway, small seems easier to push! It took my SIL 4 pushes to push my little nephew (2.85kg) out, without epidural!

Hi ladies.

Me now at Taka waiting for hubby to finish shopping for golf stuff.

I think now my body really get aches more easily. Morning i went to watch the movie " The karate kid" @ AMK hub. Quite a nice movie, touching too. Then went to eat lunch after that. Then went NTUC to shop. All the while had been sitting & only walk @ NTUC. Didn't shop more than 30min & my back is aching like hell.

So now @ Taka, dun dare to walk so much. Sit down to rot cos hubby always take a long time @ golfhouse.

Now hoh, i realise whenever i go toilet to poop, i dun dare to use force to poop cos i scare waterbag might break. My hubby say i am silly but i just can't help feeling that way lo. Dunno u gals had the same worry as me or not. Haha!!

Thanks! Yup feeling better already! Wat is heart burn ah?

Cordblood banking: cord life is set up by a group of business man, they store e blood in one place n in one container, according to e person, to treat 1 40kg person will need the whole packet/tube so no need store separately, n e transfer might not be hygnic. The main advantage of cordlife is that u can pay $200 n they will use machine for the separation of blood n u harvest more. But I signed up for stemcord cos it's set up by doctors n they store the blood in two different places, though one is stored in sci park 1 n e other in sci park 2, but I thought in case of fire in one building, it might not affect e other. N if my bb need it when he's young he will not need the whole packet n the rest can b kept for furture as e blood once thawed cannot be refrozen again. N also cos they hv some special tie up with my gyn n a special price was given.

Went for my checkup yesterday too. At 34 weeks 5 days, my boy weights 2.348kg. Gynae also said its a good weight. Bb's head is down but likewise, still not engage yet. I did complain about my water retention and he helped me to measured my blood pressure and said that its normal. So i guess, just have to bear with the swell..

Rgd cord blood banking,

We are gg to donate the cord blood to SCBB and have met up with the officer to finish all the admin paper work yesterday.

Hi mummies~

Just ended my massage session. 1st time massage, feeling better of course. body ache not so bad now.

Before that ate at MOF plus ice cream.. Nowadays keep craving for FOOD! feel full but still yearn for food... just want to keep munching..

Kepsis,

heart burn actually is the reflux of your gastric juice into the oesophagus. If next time still experience this try to sit up and drink a bit of water. Should b helpful

babycoco and ceres,

Nope, instead, the officer came to Glen E to look for me (i was at gynae's clinic for my checkup). But yes, going through the questions and signing took abt 45min to an hr,

Suntan: me also thinking of donating but dunno contact who...

Jasline: i also heard from gynae heavy don't mean anything. when bb comes out then feed & take gd care will also grow.

hi mummies.. Went checkup n did ctg today. Bb head still nt engaged at 37 wks+. gynae says is ok, still got lots of time.. I told him abt my brownish discharge n he got worried and did VE for me.. But i'm nt dilating yet. He said nw i just have to wait for bb to come out which can be anytime frm end june.

Ann, i also dun dare to force my poo out cos whenever i do, i will get the brown discharge and i scared waterbag burst also! Haha..

Sweetkiss: Haha!! So I am not the only one having silly thought.

But if have brown discharge, means got blood inside right? Your gynae never offer an explanation why u have brown discharge?

Ceres,

just go to SCBB website n send them an email stating ur interest to donate. They will then call you up for an apptm.

Went for my 34 weeks gynae visit this afternoon. BB is weighing at 2.05kg.

Doc said BB will be lighter than 3kg at birth...maybe abt 2.5kg. So good weight for me lah, else later no strength to push.

She also said BB's birth weight is largely dependent on genes and blood supplto BB, not so much abt the food we consume. hehee.

hi ceres,

Yeah you can email them or just call their the SCBB hotline to tell them you wanna donate, they will arrange to meet you up at your gynae clinic or somewhere near your workplace... I meet the SCBB rep at suntec (old town white coffee) during my lunch hour on 2nd week of June... took about 15-20mins for her to explain and i sign the docs... timing just nice cos by the time we finished with the documents, the food came.. ^_^ The SCBB rep left after the document signed.. my lunch time only 45 mins so just nice

SCBB donation line: 63945012 or email to [email protected]

SCBB enquiry line: 6394 5011 or email to [email protected]

i also in my 34 weeks plus liao... went for my checkup and bb is about 2kG>... but my blood pressue shot up to borderline case from the usual normal BP and my urine test started to fail again...

any mummies have experience this? cos my previous 2 pregnancy quite stable at this 3rd trimester....i wonder what can i do to lower my blood pressue...

I meet my aunties and my dear mum today, again few of my aunties said my leg swell is a signed giving birth. I told them i am due 22-26July 2010.

Than they say nolah you going to give birth 1 to 2 weeks time.. I wonder if they are clever than the gynae..

Sweetkiss: Oh.. ok. As long as gynae say it's ok cos for me, my brown discharge is actually blood.

Childcare: Today I went to AMK hub to watch movie, still got time so walk into the Little Skool-House International to take a look. For 18mths to 3yrs old, full day child care is $600plus after subsidy. Quite expensive and the person told me got 100plus kids on the waiting list. I was like "WTH"... In my mind, I am thinking so should I start registering my BB so that by the time he reach the age, he will have a place in a childcare centre.

Coolqoo - My BP also slightly high. Past 2 boys i never have problems with BP.

I also dont have BH attack for the 2 boys.

I think this is the most unique pregnancy journal that i had gone through..

Even my legs never swell so early. Now only week 35th and my legs and hands are swelling like hell. Wonder what went wrong, gynae also no action so relax ..

Hi Bliss Tan,

I am also 35th weeks today. Same with you [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Which hospital will you be delivering? I will be at Glen H.

I am planning to do c-sec on 8 July. Can share why did you chose 5th of July?

Cheers

Hi mummies

I have a qns... For donating of cordblood, other than signing all the documents, I hear need to do alot of test... Like drawing ur blood a few times for all the blood test....

Is it true???

Jasline: Mummy blood will only be drawn before your labour when you are admited to the delivery ward. A small tube only la... that;s the only time your blood will be taken.

During your meetup with the SCBB rep, they will only explain the documents to you and you have to answer some sentive questions regarding your sexual relationships and health issues...like SARS, AIDs, H1N1, also your travel history for the recent years...

CT: guess every pregnancy is different..hmm.. this one i feel more tired and have difficulty sleeping well at night... keep waking up at 3-4AM and can;t sleep..

Ann: regarding childcare, maybe the ones in shopping centres are more expensive? my eldest gal in YMCA childcare at Blk 584 AMK(the block beside the park beside AMK MRT).. i paying SGD300 plus after subsidies.. inclusive of additional optional courses like music class and speech and drama .... they combine childcare with normal lessons lor... Full day.. my eldest gal now is N2.. when they reach K1 can go for optional Gymnastic class.. K2 can go for optional swimming class...the teachers there are nice too.. ^_^

i already reg 4 my bb in infant care n wil continue to playgrp etc since no1 can look after him.wow!excited 4 u, grace!congratz!2molo wil b wk 36 for my prince.hehe.counting dwn!

Grace,

Congras!!!! Luckily we went for the f8 shoot last sun! You are no 3 for Jul mummy. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] so happy for you! Share your birth story and post pic of your bb when you are better ok. For now, take care and rest well!

CT,

Haha if swelling means gg to give birth, then i would have given birth long ago cos i started to swell when i was in my 2nd trim.
