Good morning ladies.



Just finish meeting and the thread is moving fast.



Anyone know where to buy yoga pants? I am thinking of taking pre natal yoga but no pants fit me now.



Also swimming costume too.. I am going Capella tomorrow and I realise I dun have a swimsuit that fit me. My tankini top cannot fit in, my swimsuit too tight.. unless I wear Bikini to the swimming pool. That's the only thing I can fit in now.

 
Ann: Just wear bikini & flaunt it! That's wad my hubby told me. hahaha... but i dun dare also.



Yoga pants can buy from Carrefour leh. I saw at PS, less than $20 only, plain colored ones and i think it's suitable for pregnancy cos the section seems to be for maternity clothes. Got loose fitting tops too.

 
Ann - I bought mine at Baby Avenue.. that one is spring maternity one.. so I think other spring maternity shops will also have. $49.90. The top part can be unfold upwards to cover tummy when tummy gets bigger.

 
NATAS travel fair - I've not been to one in a very long time. Anybody knows if they sell hotel stay only?? is it worth it to go if I just want to book hotel stay? Searching for Langkawi hotels for April.

I'm currently 20 weeks preg oredi but realised have not been gaining weight. Though my belly is getting bigger, i still can't help but worried. Anyone having the same situation?

 
ica - quirky places are good if not having BB... I wan a hotel jus next to beach so no need to walk or travel so much leh..

 
Sweetkiss: Cannot la.. round now.. dun dare to show lei. Actually I dun wear bikini in Singapore.. only overseas. Haha!!



Yoga pant: I am quite big size lei.. do they have my size? Even my maternity dresses I also bought from Egg Maternity where they import all their maternity clothings from New Zealand. I always have a hard time looking for pants in Singapore.

Ann: Hahaha... me also, but maybe i will go to less crowded pools like those at safra clubs. once i am in the bikini faster go inside the pool to take cover.



Regarding yoga pants, I'm not sure cos it was in a rack with different colors & sizes. I never really went to see.

 
Sweetkiss: Ya lo.. use towel to cover then faster go down to the pool.. SAFRA pools also alot of pple lei unless u go earlier or late at night. Haha!!

Oh for tops, we can wear baggy tee shirts right? No need to buy those Yoga tops right?

 
mrslong, same same. I only swim at my sis's condo. Dare not show off my tummy. Now tummy not too big not too small, wait people might think I am fat. LOL

 
Swimming costume.. I mentioned before can try China town abv swanston's shop.. can dun bother already.. the designs sucks too..



And I found out that Ocean (3rd flr) sells Clarins stretch mark cream and Huile tonic oil cheaper then swanstons... they're selling at $52.

 
haa think i am the laziest, i dun do yoga or swimming nowadays. Last time when i still staying with my parents, i would go down for swimming (condo), but now staying with hubby le, lazy to travel back for swimming :p

 
Tek Koh - it's at people's park... same building as Swanstons.. but it's at 3rd storey... in the center of the building, nearer to OG side.

Can try out the pumps before buying. I haven't bought mine yet.. still deciding if to get my friend's 2nd hand at $150 or get a new one.. problem of concern is if I want to change all the parts that was in contact with her milk.. what do you all think?? her's is evenflo.. from kiddy palace, but I find it hard to find replacement parts.. also, for working mothers, it's recommended to get dual pump cos it's faster.

 
I am looking at Medela PISA. Heard that its quite good and effective in clearing blocked ducts. Quite a few of my frens using that too.

 
ya, my sis also says she can pass me her Medala pumpp but she has lent it to her friend till abt June....by then i also dunno what spare parts to buy, etc...& it seems very troublesome. Moreover it has been used by different people already.



So me not exactly keen.

 
also heard medela PIS is good...but can get quite noisy (esp when pumping in office)..anybody has feedback on medela freestyle?

so scare buy already cannot BF due to whatever reasons, then wasted.

i have bought avent manual and medela mini electric single pump. i prefered avent manual.



Friends who use Medela PIS says very very good.

Ameda pump is good too. Robinson had a sale few mths ago selling @ 250.

 
Previously, I was interested in the Medela Freestyle.

I wanted to get one from US but after talking to the salesgirl at KKH pharmacy, she advised me not to “贪小便宜” and get a local set instead.

Because US set need to get additional adaptor -> she said better to use local set locally so the pump can last longer.

And US set no warranty, so if we send for servicing is 4 times the usual price.



Medela Freestyle works in the same way as PIS. (PISA is no longer available.)

However, the Freestyle is a newer version and therefore it is lighter to carry around esp if you are going to pump when u return to work.

For those who decided to get the PIS, she advised getting the one in backpack because it is quite heavy and using backpack can prevent us from spraining ourselves.



For single electric pumps, the Medela Swing also has the same 2-phase suction like Freestyle & PIS.

If you are afraid of leakage when pumping one side, you can get the milk collection shell for the other side.



I have read that Ameda is a good pump too but I would still support Medela. Because all hospitals use Medela pumps.

So I guess it should be really reliable.



I have a budget so I may be getting the Swing… Moreover I am not sure how long I will be able to pump..



How come the pricing under BF Organization is discounted? We can purchase as non-member?

AM considering only..cos so far i see my sis use, seems quite good.



Previously my another fren bought the freestyle one via spree from the forum. No warranty and she got it like S$400+ i think. Freestyle one is smaller and lighter than the PIS model, but heard that the pump is not that good/strong.

Medela is used in sg hospitals?? I know Ameda is used in some of the america's hospitals. At least that's wat they wrote in their websites.

noknok: i think in america, ameda and medela are popular. avent's from the UK, so more popular there



i heard in some sg hospitals, they also provide you with bottled colostrum or equivalent the 1st few days after giving birth, in case no breast milk yet. think SGH is one of them

 
Think I'll still get a manual pump that cost less then $50 to ensure there's milk flow first.. Just in case no batt or electrical supply also can use as back up pump.
