babycoco wow! you even lost weight? so must be on a strict diet now? 3.5kg weight gain is so little
Ann i'm not thin. and short too. and to top it off, my metabolic rate is slow. that's why my hubby said i look like penguin. even before i got preggers, he will always disturb me by asking why am i so short and says if our kids are short like me, then cham liao. hmmmph! i just ignore him

seems like many people using the sorella seamless bras. me too hee.

some clarifications on the fees for using the cord blood stored with public cord blood bank.
1) If Donor's child require their own cord blood unit there is no charge.
2) If Donor’s sibling requires a cord blood unit and the Donor’s cord blood unit is found to be a match, the fee is $2500.
3) If a match is found without any relationship to the donor, the fee (more for cost recovery) is $26000.
after discussion with hubby, we have decided to donote as well.

It's been a bz few days since i last log in and thread moves faster and faster.. No chance to catch up but manage to read up for this page.
It's mth end and there is a lot of reporting to do. + co not so understanding and considerate.

Just to share my experience on mrt.
I wk in Yio Chu Kang and i stays at Bt Merah. Can u imagine that i have to take a bus fm office to MRT stn, change MRT (YCK-Raffles), change MRT (Raffles to Redhill/Tiong Bahru), change Bus back home. Normally whole journey takes ard 1.5hrs.
There was once after work, my back really aches while i was standing in the mrt so i tap on 1 of the chinese worker (Fm China) as he was seating at the reserve seats. He wakes up and look at me asking me what i want. and those bystanders just look-on.
I told him nicely that that was a reserves seats and guess how he answers? He answers that he was at the seat first so y shd he give up his seat. End up i drop at Novena and take a taxi home.
OMG.. cannot imagine with this ppl ard, no matter hw many reserves seats also no use lor.

babycoco: Oh.. it's from the discount booklet which I had gotten when i attended the parent seminar. I got one more discount booklet when i go for Mt A hospital tour. You wan? I can give u the discount coupon since I am not buying anymore thing from mum r us. Moreover i got the membership card liao so can get discount using the card too.

Went to robinson sale during lunch hr. A lot of ppl. Haha... bought a rocker, duckie bath tub, rompers etc. Spend abt $190. Hehe... actually total up is $260 like that but discount plus the extra $5 discount for member save alot.
My items i split onto 3 bills to save $15 more discount. Got to see carefully some items no extra discount.

BB is 1404g at 29wks, average size. Hmm, so far I put on 7kg. But hor, I have not shed all the weight gained during pregancy. So thus time round also hope to keep weight gain under 10kg... But think no chance liao.
Imagine I used to be size 8 to 10... Sobs, wonder whether I can ever go back to prepregnancy weight after this kid.

Yesterday night I had a weird dream. I dreamt that I went to gynae for checkup with hubby. Dunno why suddenly the scene change to operating theatre and I was having C-sec w epi and Kayden was born. They never even let me see him and whisk him away. I only heard him cry. Then I ask gynae what's going on. He told me Kayden too big for 5mths so have to take out now. I was like 5 mths.. i am already 7mths lei.
Then I was asked to get off the operating table and ask to sit on a couch where i wait to be send back to my hospital bed. Hubby went out to inform the relatives about me giving birth. A nurse came and walked me to my bed. The ward looked like a C class ward with alot of patients. So I told the nurse could I change to a single bed ward. She so unfriendly and like unwilling to change for me. She say will see and walk off.
I was so pissed off and hubby still not back yet. Then I dun feel right so went to the nursery to look at my son. I looked thru all the babies but just can't see my son. I even saw a gigantic baby at the nursery. I asked the nurse and she told me my son is not in this nursery.
Suddenly my alarm went off and I woke up. So in the whole dream I never see my son at all.

phy - no worries, i din buy the bras in the end coz i bot some the last time & since boob size will prob shrink after delivery, i din wanna buy too many bras that cant be worn later..haha..but anyway, i really luv the sorella comfy bras
btw, from the 4D scan, i notice that most babies' nose look big..is it because they are squashed against the scanner?

i went john little and also have the sorella bras, buy 2 get 1 free. Is it that there is only beige and black color for the non-wired? For my size left beige only, so i didnt buy.. if not i will have 3 of the same bras..
I bought some cotton nursing bras though, quite cheap around $12-$18. The $12 ones have buttons for front cup opening and $18 ones are made of thicker cotton, clips at the strap one. The brand is Impressions.

Also i dont think there is much at this weekend's bb fair at expo.. the advert on life page like not very attractive leh... =P

bottles are useful when u want to use the milk soon bags are useful for freezing. u may want to consider buying milk liners from playtex or lanshinoh for freezing purpose.

Get the glass bottles from the hospital!! Then buy the bottle caps for storing the EBM and feeding the kiddo.
I got quite a few bottles from TMC the other round. Still have them around. Get those skinny types so they can fit in the bottle warmers later. Oh, then buy the Nuk rubber teats.

As for milk bags, I used the lasinoh ones.. just bought from some mummies in forum will do.
Only managed to breastfeeed my #1 for 1 year.
First 3 months I gave him 1FM a day. Then he went on full BM (latch on and EBM) till 8 months old before going on partial till 1 year old.
Wonder this time if I can tong for the same period.
