(2010/07) July 2010 MTB

phy: Ya lo.. have to eat many meals to satisfy the hunger pang but can't eat much at one time. Easily full and easily hungry.

babycoco: Yup.. bought mine at Mum R us. Use the coupon discount is cheaper and got them to delay the invoice date till EDD so that warranty will start then.

Oh.. which mummy bought coconut drink to drink le ah? I forgotten liao. We can drink now? I felt like drinking but dun dare lei.

sweetkiss: Strongly recommended is New Majestic Hotel. Located at Bukit Pasoh. Me and my hubby will go there once yearly. But the price is not very cheap. Around $300 per night. But the bed is supere cosy until we dont wanna wake up everytime we sleep there! There are diff themes drawn on the wall of the room. U can try go check out on the website [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Another hotel is Scarlet located at Havelock. Heard is nice too!

Ann, me me! I drank coconut juice yesterday nite. I heard is.. once a month?

Sweetkiss, yea yea i also checkout scarlet hotel before, is quite cheap!

Genting -- try booking it with agencies.. they have rooms allocated for them de.. it will be easier to get it... Try transtar VIP coach.. SUPPPEERRR comfy..

Hotel -- Try merchant court or park hotel clarke quay.. not too ex.. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] Changi Village hotel also not bad..

Shann: Oh.. now can drink ah.. ok ok.. i go drink this Sunday. hehe!!

Glucose test result: It came out normal. Heng ah!! No need to go thru the test again. I would die.

sweetkiss - i stayed @ Quincy hotel 2 weekends back for my bday! it's a modern contemporary boutique hotel, juz opened last year..think the rates are abt $280 a nite but it includes all meals (breakfast, lunch, cocktails, dinner). Drinks/food at the mini-bar are also FOC. You may want to consider [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Shann & Jolyn: Noted! Thanks babes!!

Ann: Me! I tried one at crystal jade. but think better to take those malaysia coconuts, like someone mentioned previously?

I was at Robinson sale just now. Nothing much. The amedal breastpump, BPA free is selling at $388. mumsfairy is cheaper at $365 only. But I manged to buy the black, red n white cot bumper at $23 after disc. One side is the black, red n white pics for 0-3 mths n the reverse side is colourful plus 3d pic for above 3 mths. As I

didn't receive the mailer for the sale so I dun have the $5 voucher but the lady at the cashier is very nice n offer to give me the $5 off as well. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

My baby cot just came in ytd... [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] but my room's super cramped now.. lol...

im slowly trying to wash the baby laundry... everyday i will see the weather... and faster wash.. hoping the sun will be super super hot....

coconut -- its normally at the last 2 mths of the pregnancy.. im starting on the mid of 8th mth.. which is like what keropi said.. 35 weeks... too liang for us is no good and scared will make the bb weak..

Jasline: my hubby oso donwan, he say want the element of surprise......but i don't care him, i'm still going for it at my nx gynae's visit! Can't wait to see my bb's eyes/nose/mouth properly

Jaclyn,

Hahaha.. My hubby same, he said no matter wat once give birth can see liao.. -_-"

I wanna tell him since I did't get to take the maternity shoot. I wish I can go for the 4D scan. Hopefully my brainwash will success. Hahahahaha...

How much is it to do 4D scan at ur gynae side??

my gyane 3D Scan is $80 but 4d is $180. I think 4d includes DVD etc. I tried to scan on my 28th week but she says baby position no good for the scan, ask me try again on my next visit at 31st week.

afternoon mummies, been having chesty cough due to the erratic weather. so worrying. hope my bb's ok. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif]

Coconut: Oh.. so better not to take it now? Hai... i thought can eat now. But if take one or share with pple, won't be too liang right? Hehe!! Trying to find ways to get to eat it earlier.

Jasline: Radlink is the centre at paragon. I think the one which you go for your detailed scan. I went for my OSCAR test there too.

afternoon mommies! this thread is always moving at supersonic speed. hahaha

just got back from doing the glucose test. the drink wasn't too bad - tasted like super sweet F&N orange. i thot it was only a small cup. turned out to be a small bottle, about 300ml! luckily, i din puke

in btwn waiting, had my check-up and did pre-admission. i feel so efficient....kakakaka

baby is 1,414g at 28wks, in the 95th percentile. a little big but weight is skewed by baby's long thigh bone. gynae said no worry, baby will be tall. i put on another 2kg since last checkup. so total weight gain = 9kg. gynae kept reminding me to cut out sugar - just had McD's sundae yesterday. i din tell gynae. lol

cherry.sue take good care of yourself. our immunity is very low now. chesty cough? is it like you can't cough up the phlegm? could be you're heaty. when you sleep, cover your throat - to reduce phlegm

Sweetkiss >> Some local hotels are offering "babymoon" packages. U can try M Hotel or Marriott Hotel, can't remember which one.

Ica: Your BB about the same weight as mine. For mine, I think not because of bone.. must be becos of BB fats. Haha!!

Serene: A sip nia ah.. then i must make sure it's a big long sip. Haha!!!

cherry.sue not sure about the coconut drink woh...yeah, it's cooling but dun know wat effect on phlegm. maybe can check with TCM physician. or just rest more, drink more water. i had it in my 1st tri and it took a long time to go away

Ann i saw baby's face. looked quite chubby, so maybe a bit big also. but since gynae said it's due to thigh bone, then i'll think that way too. hehehe.

but will try very hard to eat sensibly from now on. you know, after my Japan trip, i put on 1.6kg in 2 wks! after the trip, controlled my food intake and i put on 0.5kg in 2 wks. think must be the carbs - rice, noodles - during the trip

cherry.sue -- agree with ica.. dunno issit a liang cough or heaty cough.. so jus drink plain warm water before it gets worse.. i was sick at the early stages of 2nd tri.. it took me about 2 weeks to recover...

cherry.sue oh, now i remember..i went to see 2 different GPs. the 2nd one gave me some med to dissolve the phlegm. it worked but took quite a while coz that time i was less than 20wks preggers, so GP dared not give strong medicine

ica: Ya lo.. if gynae say thigh bone then better think that way too.. more comforting. haha!!

For me, also hard to eat sensibly lei.. sometime got craving then must eat one. But so far from start of pregnancy till now, i gain about 6.5kg. Must control. Trying to keep it at most 8kg gain if possible. That's my own target.

Hello Ladies,

Thread has moved so very fast "Speedy Gonzalez"!

I managed to catch up on the thread... phew.

I too have phlegm in chest and throat. All due to the bad weather. Im so worried that these symptoms will pass on to the baby.

Apart from that when Im walking I feel a slight digging pain at the underbelly. I was a little anxious but there are no discharges or unbearable pain. Therefore, I am going to wait it out and if pain persists ... I will call gynae.

Anyone, feeling the same as me? On top of this I feel that my tummy has grown big.. SUDDENLY very big.

And baby's movements are very obvious... even in the train... people are staring at my tummy. Hahahaha Im so proud [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Robinson Sale - just come back from the the closed door event, it is still packed!. Didnt manage to see a lot of things, was looking at car seats and my handbags. Lots of items at least 20% offer.

Radlink 4D scan - yep at Paragon Medical Centre. The 4D scan for 150 SGD nett will include a CD and three hardcopy 3D images.

Jaya - the underbelly pain like "stitches" is very normal according to my Gynae, just try not to walk too fast. yep baby movement is definitely bigger and more often...

Yes Eliss - pain like stitches... okay will pace myself from now.

Ica - nowadays getting seats on the train has become easier - though at times you have those "Sleep pretenders". I dont care, I simply tap them and ask for their seats.

Coz due to the weight etc... travelling long distances takes a toll on my legs and back liao!

jayamum: wow! u r really brave. i wouldn't dare to do it... but true, a lot of ppl loves to pretend sleeping.. there was once when i had to stand, a kind lady who was also standing asked if i needed a seat & she will ask ard for me. so nice!

Yes Sweetkiss - Im actually more desperate than brave.

It is just very heartbreaking when your tummy is so big and they refuse to give up the seats - and mind you Im referring to the "reserved seats" you know.

Some commuters are terrible but there are some kind souls.

Oh OH... i must share this experience with you ladies.

There was a weekday when I went to work late. I boarded the train at Woodlands at 10:30am. Then there were these "train inspectors" (you know those wearing those maroon tops and black pants).. were walking in the train. The moment they saw an elderly or a pregnant person without a seat, they would ask those "Sleep pretenders" to get off their "arses" and give up the seats.

But you see the problem is... this cannot happen during the peak hours.

I know that the MRT Organisation is trying to overcome this problem... but until and unless they impose a fine on these "sleep pretenders"... they wont learn their lessons. Just like every other offence in Singapore - spit kena fine, litter kena fine... so they must fine for this... also.

Then you will how much happier the preggies will be.

I cant imagine what will happen during the "YEAR OF THE DRAGON" - where there will be so many preggies.... poor preggies. I feel sorry for them already.

Just finished shopping at robinsons. Bought ugly but comfy karmy sleep dress to wear during confinment. 30% off. Sorella seamless bras, buy 2 get 1 free and further 15% off. Hmm, didn't manage to get anything else for this sales

ica, Sun_tan, Jo_lyn: 8kg seems little to you all but it's alot to me le cos I am plus size to start with. If I am thin like you all here, i think i wouldn't have care so much. Haha!!

Actually hoh, yesterday i was asking hubby, how can pple stand being so fat now tat my tummy is so big. I feel so uncomfortable. Sit also uncomfortable. Sleep also the same. Feel so hot all the time. Do everything tummy also in the way. Imagine if my tummy now is all fats and not a baby.. the tummy touching my thigh is so uncomfy. Why pple can tahan? I am not discriminating against fat pple cos I am not skinny either. But just wondering won't they feel the same way as I do now?

Mrt seats: For me, so far, the commuters had been quite good to me. I can get seats rather easily.

If I stand too far from the pole while standing, commuters will stand aside so that I can move forward to hold the pole so that i won't fall. But when i get to hold the pole, normally pple will faster stand up to give me sit. Hehe!!

Do you all noticed last time I think the sign says "priority seat".. now it shows "reserved seat".

phy - i also have those sorella seamless no-wire bras! they are very comfortable! good buy now that they have a further 15% off now? so in your opinion, is it worth the effort to go robinsons?

People dun care if it's priority seats or reserved seats...so MRT put wat to differentiate also no use I find.

So far, most of the time when I take the train home after work, the most I stand 1-2 stops, then someone will offer his/her seat to me....but there are also times the "pretenders".

So far most of the times my hubby fetch me to n fro work. But there r a couple of times where I need to take bus n for that few times, nobody offer seats to me.. That's even when I Am carrying my laptop. Sob sob...

Ica, Ann, seems like our bbs quite chubby. Mine was 1470gr at 28wks 4days. I gained 3.5kgs since i got preg. Failed glucose test so have to cut down on carb & sweet stuff. Lost about 0.5kg since gynae visit last Wednesday.

Ann, how much did you pay for the breastpump?

autrumn >> If you're going to the Baby Expo @ Singapore Expo this weekend, can also consider going to the Metro Expo Sale which is also @ Expo from 30 Apr - 2 May.

Maybe they also have the Sorella bras on sale?

Are you all still wearing wired bras now? I read that it is better to wear non-wired once pregnant. But i have been wearing wired bras!! dun tell me i need to spend $ to buy new ones again. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif]
