GG : This is what i've ordered- Buffet 3 SGD12/pax. I remembered everything was nice especially the prawns & rendang. ttp://www.elsiekitchen.com.sg/buffet3.htm
The serving was pretty big, needed to tao pao quite a fair of food even though my guests have eaten a lot. Everyone was full of praises of the food, some of friends have even asked for the contacts. However, Elsie's Kitchen is quite stingy about suppling the styloform boxes for tao pao. I've asked them for 30 but they only provided 10.

Evon : Their food is generally good, not too sure if their standards r still the same since the last time i ordered. By the way, did you recommend Kenny & Jennifer to others>? Hubby & I have decided to confirm the maid as we have found Kenny & Jennifer not too pushy, thought their office is small, but we quite like the one they have recommended (4yrs experience), and the vibes were quite ok when we spoke to her on the phone. She will be here in 2-3weeks' time. Thanks again. Now, i need to decorate the maid's room, and tell my part time auntie that we have hired a maid. Super reluctant to let her go as her service is superb!.

Mommies who have maids, can check what to put inside the maid's room? Is a single bed, a small cupboard and a standing fan sufficient?

Maid - I got a few frens also using their service so far so good only got 1 fren her maid a bit naugthy then jenny went down to give a talk after that now okie liao.. I agree they not those pushy type tht is why i like them.. Hee.. Hope u get a good maid. Ohh u got a part time aunite? Maybe u can ask the auntie to guide the maid...

Canopy... Think a 2door cupboard is enough la. Maybe they will not bring much things too. That time when my maid arrive she only got 2 bra and panties and 3 t-shirt... So i bou her to bring extra... HAving a maid really is an extra cost to us... but of cos will help us a lot too la if we got a good one..

Evon : Hubby & I think that it is not too nice let aunite meet the maid, cos no matter what the maid is taking away her source of income meh. I am just afraid that the maid might finds her room too small. She has her own yard and toilet to use as well. Now, i need to clear my stuffs in the maid's room. Siao liao, cos we use it as a store room instead. I even have two 1metre F1 control cars which i have bought; and wanna sell in Ebay but got no time to do so.
Ain : I siao bedsheet one. Hubby always called me a bedsheet collector, and he is the bedsheet remover! I buy new set, he will throw away a few old ones, currently we have 5 sets @ home. =p

Evon : I think the cost is about the same, cos i pay my part time aunite 240/ mth. She will come once a week. And We always tao pao dinner back from Mon - Fri ( abt 20/day, so 400/mth), and weekends even more expensive unless either hubby or i cook. So if we go marketing weekly, the sums should work out the same, and it is healthy to have homecooked food, and we get to have our household chores done everyday.

"Consume half a sachet each time, 2 times a day. So 1 day = 1 sachet."
We got confused after reading all the medication that were given. If we read it wrongly, that means we will end up serving a quarter (1/4) of the sachet each time, which is half of the intended dosage.
Sorry if I have confused you guys. Sometimes the mind is not in the right state when we see our akk gets cranky and sick.

Canopy... Wat i mean extra cost like things will get damage more often, food will use up faster etc... I heard some of my frens feedback to me too. Thou i told u i got my maid from kenny that is why i intro to you, hee... Oh my maid cook very well and she is able to cope w my 2 kids. Can say that i m lucky to have this helper who really help me alot but her pride is very high too.. But to me as long as she do her things well and dun give me problem i m okie.

Evon : u r lucky! hope that my new maid is good too. Read her bio, she has a Bsc in Social works, that's y hubby & i thought those who opt for Social works should not be too bad a person. Moreover she is married and has her own son (6yrs old). I think if she can work well would be great, cos she just have to cook, do household chores, don't have to take care of bb kiren.
Yunnzz : where does your MIL stay? My part time aunite stays in the Tanglin halt or Telok Blangah. Her name is aunite maggie, superb hot, my MIL has intro her friend's daughter in law to her but she couldn't take it as her schedule is fully booked on that particular day. She is currently having 10 households to work. She charges slightly more but the quality is superb. Eg, i have a tray of stones/pebbles in the living hall for display, she even takes out the stones to wipe one by one. She will normally stay back to finish all her tasks though her (4hrs) time is up. Very responsible and thoughtful eg she will not vacuum the house when bb kiren is sleeping, and do other stuffs first, then do it later when kiren is up.

Ainsley, yup, he said he'll bring some cartoon ones for me to see. The dining area curtain is essential to change cos it's torn from sun exposure, the rest of the curtains are nice to have. So, got to see how much is his quote before I can get my Finance Minister (hubby) to approve lor. LOL.
By the way, I bought a copy of Home & decor magazine last night. Keen to buy an ottoman cos my sofa is 3 seater. Not enough seating capacity when I have guests. Thinking of getting an ottoman cos it is space saving yet can open into a 3 seater or a guest bed. Do you have any idea how much one costs and where to look for it? Thanks.

pauline, I went to taka to see but never really see any that I like leh. hmm.. As for ottoman, I am not too sure but you got to match your sofa also rht.. Maybe you can try IMM. I got my sofa at IMM and its REALLY BIG!! lol.. too big and make my living room looks small now. hehe..
For your curtain, if you wan plain pink, you can tell Jeff that you wan the same as mine cos they only have 2 solid pink and the darker one is not so nice. hehe.. You also can go goodrich to see. SUPER lots of designs... and near our place. hehe..
