jesline, it is up to your own comfort level. I let zach play with my hubby's dogs (stay at hubby's parents' place) and he was vvvv happy. But we got to make sure that we wash his hands v promptly after playing and to hold the dogs in case they jump at him!
 
jesline - my aunt hse has dog (small dog)..they will bring my boy to "play" with the dog and even let him touched (sayang) the dog...

after that, we brou him to wash his hands as my boy has the habit to such his thumb always....so far still ok...

Yl, if u have taken $40k grant when u bought your resale, then your mum can't move house in 5 years. ;)

Ya, I think I will make minor changes first eg change some furniture in my room to create more space, change curtains, get rid of unwanted furniture in study room etc.
 
Yl, I also took $40k grant but I check with ils to confirm they won't move in 5 years before signing the papers. Actually can move if it is nearby n within your area cos i think quite mafan to move house like that. Unless your mum doesn't mind. ;)

jesline, dander may cause allergy to some ppl. My dog sheds pretty much thus i have to separate both of them as zan is crawling all over now. But when he is in the walker, he will purposely go to the gate and disturb my dog. He loves to touch and let my dog lick his feet. kekeke.... but i will always clean/ wash him after that.

Mummies, does anyone has lobang for cheap photographers for birthday parties for 2 hours? Roger is travelling on 27 Nov and the one my cousin recommended already has a wedding photoshoot booked 3 months ago. Really headache to find one but for no. 1's first birthday party, every single photo was blur so I really very sian to let history repeat itself. :p

TYL, can I check caterer with you again? That day, you recommended Liang caterer and another one (forgot the name, so sorry). Which one does the food taste better? Also, what are the nicer dishes you will recommend? Sorry, I only remember the chocolate eclairs from your party. kekeke. :p

YL, CAN CAN! Someone with interest in photography and uses a DSLR can liao and most importantly, photos not blur and hopefully friendly with kids. Cos I don't have time to go around taking photos when we are hosting the party lor. :p

Einnoc, Tampines is ok for me as in quite convenient cos gt 3 shopping centres besides mrt. if talk abt sch, St hilda's is better than Poi Ching which bb studies in bt v hard to gt in. I stay within 1km oso must ballot. Ard 150+ fights for 30 seats! Lol. But to say really good school in Tampines, think only St hilda's le. Lol..

Each area has gd sch actually. Wat are u looking at? For eg, Poi Ching more focus on Chinese n Chinese culture. St hilda's more ah mo n it's a Christian sch..

YL, yup, I agree lor. That's why I'm also looking around for contacts cos Fu Kwee is giving us lesser and lesser food over the years. But I'm keeping Raelynn's 1st party smaller compared to 1st month cos only close friends and relatives. :p
 
YL, mine is 27 Nov (Sat). Timing will be 11am-2pm but photographer no need to stay throughout , maybe just 2 hrs. Cos taking photos mainly on the cake cutting, friends and the kids. The relatives always very camera shy one and will siam the camera like ghosts. :p
 
einnoc, actually other than academic results of the school, there are other factors to consider also.

One of the reason why i choose poi ching because phoebe's friends are there. Phoebe is a very sensitive girl and resistant to change of environment. Slow to warm up and also fear of new environment. So I am also concern in her psychological well-being and chose to let her be in an environment where she has more familiar faces.

Pauline, my curtain ok bah. nothing to complain about so far. hehe
 
Einnoc, I am a great supporter of Tampines too. That day, went to Whitesands with hubby and I kept commenting to hubby that the shopping centre is so small and only one. Told him I cannot stay at PR cos spoilt by Tampines shopping malls liao. :p

No offence to those staying at PR, my hubby likes PR actually cos it's quiet, not as crowded as Tampines and near to the beach and Pasir Ris Park.

Ainsley, don't remember seeing photos of your curtains at FB yet. Were they expensive? I'm looking for floor to ceiling curtains for the dining and living area and maybe a set of sweet curtains for the gals' room.

pauline, you go see my fb.. got... my living room one is motorised de.. and my kids one is pink.. my mbr is same as living room. I had binds also...all from floor to ceiling..
 
Thanks, got new photos. No wonder I didn't see the curtains. I like the living room (look like sash material?) and the gals' curtains very much.

My MBR curtains are quite new cos I change roman blinds to cloth ones. But the inner lining is exposed cos it hangs lower than the first layer. I have not washed so far so something wrong right? :p

Been maid searching the whole day, went to bt timah shopping centre for lunch and shun piang look look c c the agencies there but din go into any as they seem so sucky! Finally get to go the agency that Evon has recommended and we have confirmed a ex-Singapore philipines maid who has just gone back after she finished her contract here 3 weeks ago. She has previously worked for a Chinese family with 2 kids for 4 years. Going down Wednesday to sign contract n pay. Maid can come within 3 wks. Hopefully everything will
turn out well. Thanks evon!

Recently our akk was given some medication which had an instruction that is straightforward enough to cause some confusion.

I have asked 2 person and their interpretation of the instruction were different.

Ainsley, what I mean is that my day curtain has a layer of lining sewn at the back. But when I hang up the curtain, the inner lining juts out from the bottom of the curtain so I can see it clearly. Sounds wrong right? :p
