my boy took his first step a few days before his 11th month.. when he thought i wasn't watching! then yesterday he attempted 3 steps twice, again, when he thought i wasnt watching!

today he did 5,6,7 steps several times...

hope he keeps progressing and will walk well when he's 1 yr! :D
after that we can play catching liao.. haha
 
Hi all,

Miss out a lot this 2 weeks, was busy with work, plus hubby not in town, super tired and busy looking after a little rascal..

Looks like the haze is affecting us, my cheeky oso got some rashes on his arms.. Applied the aloe Vera gel, lucky it's better, but he keep rubbing his face, dune why?

Prob I will try to meet you all next week for lunch at the sembawang place but without my cheeky, will go during lunch time, running around so timing can be flexible..hehe..will SMS Ainsley if I can make it ya..

Shokel - I just did my ICL end sept under dr Leonard ang at paragon, if you really want to do LASIK maybe you can consider him..rates very competitive..

Shokel, do you know what is the date for philips carnival fair n motherhood fair?
 
Bb shae - my cheeky rub until his face got scratches, already cut his nails short short, dunoe why still got scratches..haze haze go away...

Shokel - my degree very high with astigmastism plus cornea too thin so cannot do lasik, in the end dr recommend to do ICL which is much more ex. No regrets, now at nite dun need to scramble and find glasses to see what happened to cheeky when he make noise.
If your degree not high, think LASIK can Liao..my friend did hers at 3.5k for both eyes..but think she got some special issue, else think it shb be round 3k..

My gal have tiny red dots on her neck, belly and back. Looks bit like rashes. But looks like she's not bothered by the dots/rashes. Wonder if its due to the haze, or due to her recent fever, or some allergy. If tml dun go away, going to bring her to pd again.

Ainsley, u going to let nn swim? If going to swim, i got to bring alot of barang barang leh. Maybe Clio and I will just focus on messing up Laureen's house :p

Skinneybeenie, MTDT, yup, Raelynn's fast at walking but slow at talking. My no. 1, RaeAnne is very slow at walking (14 months) but she is more vocal. Can wave goodbye and blow kisses at 9 months plus. RA is like me, chatterbox but lazy to move. RL is like hubby, quiet but active. Haha.

pauline i read, but dunno how true, that 1st borns tend to be slower in motor milestones than later borns but vocally faster

The haze is so irritating! Think many of our bbs all scratching their face. Even adults like us cannot tahan...my nose was literally blocked...sigh..

Wow, saw some of the mummy's invite cards, so cool!! Nice!! Haha....mine chop chop just invite via sms only..

Anyone got recommendation for cakes and food catering?

Saw some mummies getting balloon sculptor? May I ask how much do they charge huh? Anyone to recommend?
 
pauline, skinneybeenie : do you put your child on walker, to make them want to walk earlier?

my baby always like to be carried...she can't crawl now though can stand, and my mum said should get her walker to encourage her to walk?

dreamz, no i dun have any walker. but for some time i did bring my baby to playground downstairs and let him interact and watch other older babies. he also enjoyed cruising downstairs cuz the space is so big unlike our flat. then last fri we accidentally found that he was ok to walk while holding onto one hand of his dad's only (used to want to hold both hands).. then early this week saw him try 1 step, then 3 steps, then 5-6 steps alone...
 
Skinneybeenie, have not heard of that theory but definitely true for me. But I heard that no. 2 is always faster on milestones cos they copy their older sibling behaviour eg. walking, eating, toilet training etc.

Dreamz, Don't have a walker either. Got a fisher price push to go musical push to stride toy that my cousin bought but RL only presses the buttons for music. Never pushed it to walk.

Anyway, for RL, she has been physically quite strong since birth. PD was surprised that at her first 6-in-1 jab, her head was no longer flopping backwards when she pulled her arms. She told us her neck is very strong.

GG, no need to envy lar. My MIL always say the later the baby walks, the more 'hor mia' their lives will be. I'm also secretly worried that my RL will have to work harder in future. :p

hb is in construction line but commercial. we got our wallpaper from website.. =) The digital lock, we got from IMM.

Yl, thanks, my place is nice but there are some things that I want to redo eg. Built in tv console etc and a bigger wardrobe but can't cos either inconvenient or lack of space in my mbr. :p

Yl, I was telling Ainsley I can't move now cos got good pri school nearby n my ils place is just 5 mins walk away. Very convenient for us when we need babysitting. So can only dream for now. Hehe.
 
Ainsley, ya but very difficult to renovate when we are all staying inside lor. Thinking of relaying wiring to hang LED TV or putting up with the dust to do built in tv cabinet, think I'll faint lor. Even a fresh coat of paint will smell bad for days. :p

Hi mummies,
Need some advice from mummies here who has dogs as pet before.
My friend has a puppy poodle and i would like to visit her with baby Faith. But she advised the poodles have dander. They do not shed fur. And she is not sure if it is safe to expose baby to dogs so soon.

But i also know my friend who has 2 labrador at home and her baby daughter of 5 mths lived fine with them.
So i tot shd be no danger for babies..

So im wondering when is a suitable age for us to intro pets to babies? Intro as in touch and play with them..
Any advice?
 


jesline, my sis has a dog at home but I don't allow nn to go near it nor let the dog go near nn. Dogs usually bathe once a week but I still don't find it clean enough.

My dog is actually very obedient and good girl and it is toilet-trained. But then even though it poo and pee in its tray, it may accidently step on it. And my sis won't and unable to clean its mouth everytime it eats.

So I still play safe and not let nn touch it. But I am abit kiasu la. Some people do have pets at home and their kids do well with their pets as well.
