myboyjovan, sporty,
Thanks for adding me on FB. I had fun looking at the pixs of the early gathering, seems like lots of young and pretty mummies here.

Re : Thermal cooker. I highly recommend it. Saves time for cooking soup and things that need to be slow cooked and it is much safer than leaving a pot on the stove with fire. I often use it to make porridge for the family on the weekends.

Me really getting more and more lazy to keep pumping. So time consuming to pump 30 mins every session 4 - 5 times a day. Now my lazy time table is about
6:30am - latch, after pump excess
12:30pm - pump during lunch
6:30pm - rush home to pump again
10:30pm - latch dream feed, pump excess (if lazy, skip the pump)

Starting doing this last week and can see that supply really drop very fast. But I try to take it easy now cos need the time to do other things around the house. If not enough, then will take a pack of frozen EBM from the early months to supplement lor.

As for baby's schedule it is approximately like this :
6:30am - latch sleeping and go back to sleep
8:00am - wake up, explosive poo poo, and play
10:00am - bottle feed EBM 180ml
10:30am - morning nap for about 45 mins to 1 hr
11:30am - wake up and play
1:00pm - bottle feed EBM 180ml
2:00pm - take afternoon nap for about 1 - 2 hrs
4:00pm - wake up, bottle feed EBM 180ml
7:00pm - bath time
7:30pm - bottle feed EBM 180ml
8:00pm - sleeping time
10:30pm - dream feed (sometimes latch, sometime bottle)

Other mummies care to share your babies current schedule?

Roxy, I have the personal fit also.
But i find it hard leh n seems like cannot empty my breasts.
Now since my softfit gone, I have to tahan the personal fit first.

1xMummy, softfit is the one come with your pump.
Personal fit got sizes like S M L or XL. But I find it too hard for my comfort leh.

strawberries,
I think it is personal preferrance. For me, I like the sarong and sling pouch for the following reasons :
- can fold till small small and put into diaper bag
- very light
- not hot
- easy to wash
- most importantly, easy for me to put on and take off by myself with no help.

When I tried the other carriers. (Ergo, Bjorn) I find it very troublesome to try to buckle them up and I take alot of time to put baby in an take baby out. So I prefer slings.

But many pple prefer the Ergo cos it is more comfortable for mummy's back support (i think)

suggest you borrow from friends to try out different types first then choose one that you like most.

Hi angeline,

My boy's schedule is approximately like this :
6-7am - wake up for milk
8-8.30am - Shower time
9am - Sleeping time in sarong
10.30a.m - Wake up to play and wait for next feed bottle feed EBM 220ml (4hrly)
11:30am-12noon - Time for sarong again and will bring him up to sleep on his cot (sleeping on tummy)
2-2.30p.m - wake up and play
3:00pm - bottle feed EBM 220ml
4:00pm - Sarong time again
5:00pm - wake up for shower time and play
7:00pm - Milk time (sometimes EBM, sometimes FM)
8:00-8.30pm - Sleeping time

He took 4 feeds a day...occassionally 5 feeds depending on what time is the 1st feed...if he wakes up earlier at 6a.m...maybe the last feed at 6p.m, maybe he will drink another feed b4 sleep (not always) till the next morning

I just came out from United Sq, bought 4 packets of Organix cereal from Vitakids: Wholegrain baby rice, fruity apple cereal, four grain cereal n banana porridge. All $8 per pk for 150g

manunited,
I am not sure. It's my first time buying such stuff. Just getting it in case we are ready to try. I just opened the box. Press press here and there, the content is like 2 slice of Gardenia white bread. This is for 100g.

originbaby,

this is the mixing instructions from the box (Organix Stage 1 - Wholegrain Baby Rice)
1. Add 1 level tablespoon of cereal to a clean bowl.
2. Add 3 tablespoons of baby's usual milk, cold or warmed.
3. Mix well until you have a smooth consistency and serve within 30 mins.
* this is only a guide, just add more liquid or cereal if your baby prefers a different consitency.

I also found this meal planner from Organix website.

Hi, allow me to clear some doubts regarding iRobot. The local distributor is selling roomba 555, 563 and 581 which is equivalent to the US 560, 562 & 570 respectively.

The difference is mainly in accessories.
560 has 1 more virtual compared to 555.
562 & 563 is pet series of 555 & 560 which basically has additional set of brushes & high capacity bin(vacuumless)
570 & 581 is the same but have a remote and a lighthouse feature which allows room to room navigation.

All US imported sets will require a stepdown transformer but mine is a modified charger which don't need it. SG sets does not need a transformer as they are from europe which is 240V.

I offered a 2 weeks warranty which basically protects you from getting a unit which is faulty out of the box. It is a kind of assurance and not really a warranty. Some has reported that they found the equipment faulty uopon opening and left stranded with an expensive machine. Mushloom had also mentioned that they had the robot for yrs & still working. IMO, roomba is very durable and you don't need to pay $200+ more for the warranty. If you do want it, I can also cover you 1 yr parts & labour for additional $150. I am well versed in these robots and had been doing repairs for the past yr.

I also carries accessories and part. If you buy from local districutor, it will most likely be 2-3 times more expensive.

Hope the above clarifies the doubts on some of you here

hi thomas, thanks for the detailed explanation... you are the one whom ainsley's hb bought the irobot from is it?

so is it right to say that u only carry 3 of the models? i only want to do general cleaning of the house.. i.e, vacuuming.. and no pets.. so the most basic model is 555 aka 560? what if i dont need the virtual? is there any other simplified model?

Thomas,

I thot of asking u this since u r here.

Can your irobot move to another area when there's a raised flooring difference?
For example, my living room has a higher flooring than the kitchen. Can this irobot move around this 2 area freely?

Thanks.

Ang Ku Ku,

The irobot will call" Autobot, transform" before it can move to a higher flooring :p

btw, do u happen into forex too as i see u using oanda.

haha.. so does that mean roomba is autobot and scooba is decepticon? =p

not really lah, I got that oanda link (currency converter) from business times online.

I think I'll be sleeping on the streets if I'm into forex. I hv poor money/finance sense..

Terence.. hahahahaha.

Ang kuku, ur 100g is organix ar?? u mean got bigger box?? like tat dunno is cheaper or not, cos somemore plus shipment..

THOMAS, so how much ar??
