my boy slept from 7pm to 730am straight stretch twice!! is that normal?

on one hand i am very hapy.. but on the other, i also worry abt him in the nite and go check on him. morning when he wakes up he seems completely ravenous!

It's fondant 2 tier cake. Filling is triple layer chocolate. We asked them give us sesame street toppers separately but meantime we r looking for our own, nicer ones. See if can gt anything like little twin star or precious moments.

Alicia, can consider leaving the maid at your mum or mil house in the day to look after the kids? No need to bring back maid at night. But then, the maid's registered address will be your mum or MIL's place so you cannot ask her to do two households unless she follows your kids back to your house on weekends. :p
 
Alicia: we're in the same boat! Hubby &amp; I are planning 2nd bb, and we have decided to engage a helper a few days ago. after much discussion and weighing the pros n cons. We don't want to put our bbs in infant or childcare, so need to forgo our privacy to engage a helper but either mil or hubby will be at home to keep an eye.
Now, the big headache is where to find a good agency! Am asking around. Anyone who have gd maid agency please let me know, thanks!

shokel, i was latching my baby all the way till wed, when i got sick and have no choice but to let my boy drink my frozen milk batch. today the first time he tried formula milk but he was sleeping thru since wed when i didn't wake him for dreamfeed anymore...

I stop dreamfeeding my boy 2 days ago n surprisingly he slept thru too, frm 9-6+7. D 1st night he woke up @ his usu drmfdg timing n i gv him water. Then 2nd day he slept thru. Hope 29 also. He is still on 2x solid tho.

Duno isit teething? He 2 lower toothie is getting more n more sharp... Always bit me when latching.. So pain...

U used to latch ur boy every 3hrs? Or as demand?

Snowpear: so gd .. My boy used to slp thru until these few wks, he keep waking up... Last wk he fell off from his cot, duno isit bcos of this makes him kind of phobia liao... Or is teething or he is not drinking enuff?
 
shokel, my boy latched 5-6 times a day only. he would only willingly happily latch at the last nite feed, which i think he likes to cuddle up. dayfeeds for the 1st feed he always acts very hungry, cuz he goes for 6-8hrs at nite wihtout any latching. now he still seems to be looking for me. frankly speaking, i really miss latching him. when i was given the med, i latched him last time then took my med.

he doesnt bite me since he had teeth. he used to clench down when he was abt 5-6mth sometimes, when he's unwilling to latch and wanted to play. but surprisingly since he got teeth he only bit me once...
 
my boy is on 2x solid only. morning not really counted, i give him fruit, or oat or some bread and cheese depending on what i am eating for breakfast.. i used to worry he eats too little, that is why only 8.4kg. but i found out from my neighbor whose kid is 7 weeks older than mine but abt 11kg, that he eats the same amt. my boy jus has high metabolism like his parents.. haha.. somemore eat avg at, sleep above avg, but somehow weight below avg..
 
Skinny: er, me not latching as much as u lei... Dun count the wee night latching, first latch is when he wakes up from 8-10am, second time is his nap ard 1130-1230pm then after his nap, his solid.. Then prob ard 3-4pm latch again, then depends if he still wanna nap after tt.. Ard 5-6pm dinner porridge then ard 7 latch again , last feed fm ard 8-830pm... Slp time is btw 9-930pm...

His last weigh was 9 mths at 9kg.. I also think he is nt as chubby as others his age.. Ur boy skinny is becos got ur genes perhaps... Anuway, as u mentioned he is drinking n eating n slpin well, no need worry abt weight gain...
 
Pauline: I will need the maid's help after I come back from work so cant leave the maid at my mum/mil's house. I forsee I will be too tired to take care of 2 kids. Now with 1 kid already very tired but at least now its 2 person taking care of 1 kid so still ok, can take turns to do things. But Next time, I cant imagine how...I will need to pump milk den imagine e newborn cry and no. 2 also want attention and Im stuck coz of pumping. Both cry together....wah faint. So i think I will need additional help.

If I get a maid, means my mil will need to stay with me to monitor e maid, but I have neva live with her before. Duno got conflict anot...It will be hard to ask her to leave once I asked her to move in. That's y headache now....duno wat to do.

Canopyhaze: u staying with ur mil now? or asking her to move in after u get a maid?

Actually I dun mind leaving both child at ifc or cc, at least they can interact n learn things in sch...
 
shokel, mine was6-7am, 10am, 230pm, 7pm, 11pm before i stopped latching him few days ago.. so abt 5 times?

my boy almost 11mth old 8+kg nia. haha.. but i think he is trying to save us money. until now still using M size diapers.. haha
 
Alicia, I see, true, I also appreciate the extra pair of hands at night. As for asking MIL to stay with you, I think it's tricky. She may be happy to move back if your FIL and her other children is still around in her house cos she won't need to juggle two households. But still, how to ask her to move back, no matter what DIL will still end up looking petty and ungrateful.
 
Alicia: nope, mil doesn't stay with us. She is staying nearby, she will come by in the morning, and hubby is doing his own biz so his time is pretty flexible. So either one adult will be around with the maid. We have yet to engage a maid agency yet, still sourcing around as we have only decided to get one a few days ago.

wanna ask a quick question. i m thinking of purchasing some form of learning systems/software/books for zach. I came across bambini lux at United square recently. Besides, this system, what other systems are available for home use?
 
Hi Canopy! We are in the same boat! Thinking is inevitable to have a maid if wan 2nd one..will need the extra help. If u find a good agency, let us know k?

My boy weight seem to stagnate at 10kg le...find him getting skinnier now, maybe cos of his teething. Got 5 teeth now...me give him 3 meals a day + 3 or 4 milk. Sometime also not sure if we are feeding enough or not..yesterday I went a full mth party saw a 5mth old baby was so big and meaty, even bigger than my 10mth+ boy!
 
GG : sure do! Likewise if u come across gd agency let me know too. Your bb is still ok, my bb kiren is stuck @ 9kg, he is 10.5mths now. I too give him 3 solids and 3-4milk intake.
My manicurist's son is 10.5kg and he is only 5mths! By the way, where do u stay? I stay in the central west i think. If nearby can meet up. =)

I dun give my boy a lot of meat yet cos I find he cant really chew and I dun blend his food anymore. Just keep reminding him to chew but end up he always still swallow!!

Just brought bb Kiren for a swim. He knocked out after shower. =) Now can have some "ME" time, hubby is out for wedding dinner.

GG : my boy eats whatever we cook for him, but he is still abt 9kg. Jurong? Quite near leh.

Genesis : okie will take note. You stay in the west as well right?
 
Genesis, hi^5! Raelynn stuck at 8.4 kg since 8 months old. So sad. Think she lost even more cos caught the cough/cold bug from her Cheh Cheh.

pauline &amp; genesis, same here. But i guess as long as they are happy and healthy, we don't have to be so obsessed about the number game.

anyway, zach is very very active and tiring me/hubby out over the weekend. He is suddenly picking everything up so fast. Where do u channel these burst of energies to? What can i make him do?
 
On leave today.....going to Ikea to buy high chair, cos the one we r having is a gift and pretty bulky and uncomfortable.

manunited : yup, am back! Thank goodness the HFMD episode is over. Both Kiren &amp; I had quite a horrible experience with lotsa spots especially on the feet &amp; mouth! Yes, we're planning for no 2 but 1st thing we must find a maid. =)

May : Likewise for bb kiren. That's y we bring him swimming. He always knocks out after his swim.
 
sandy : thanks! someone mentioned previously that if wanna have bb girl must BD on or before ovulation? My menses came on 01 Oct. Please enlighten me. I was reading the gender calendar, and found out that from now till dec, if BD will get boy leh. But we wanna girl leh.
 
Hi my baby jasmine also abt 8.9 kg leh even though my mum gives her solids 3x a day.. Then yest i went my friend's house, her boy 4 months already 7kg leh. my girl is 6 months older than him but only 1.9 kg difference... Wah! She's still wearing M size diapers...

But I know if you want a girl.. need to BD early.. not too near the ovulation..

i.e if you cycle is 28days.. and 1 Oct is your menses.. then start to BD on the 10th or 11th... then stop.... then BD on the 15th or 16th... but 15th.. might be abit risky.. ya..

Need to understand your cycle..

We haven't got any learning system yet, so far we only expose him to a few educational dvd/vcd and those flash cards thingy.
But I am curios on this learning system, to see if we want to get one for our akk also. I googled for bambini lux but couldn't find a good hit. Do you happen to know their website or something similar? Thx.
 
Sandy &amp; Pauline : Does it mean that if i BD after 16th will probably get boy? then i have just missed out this month liao. Must wait till next month and try again.
 
Canopyhaze, after 16 Oct, don't think will get preggie cos miss the egg liao unless you have late ovulation. Depends on your cycle length also if you want to pinpoint ovulation date.

snowpear.. hm.. pamper active cutting bigger? I thought was almost the same cut as Huggies.. which I find it small..

MP will have bigger cutting..

canopy, he doesnt get very tired from swimming, maybe cos we started him very young.. so he can tahan. In the past, he would KO for 2 days after 10min in pool. Now 20min in pool also no effect.
