ivy, since she has colic on and off, why nt give gripewater everyday(small teaspoon) instead when in need? Can also prevent colic. I give my bb one small spoon mix with water aft bathe then put him to sleep, then he'll fart fart fart.. And i'll apply ruyi oil aft every bathe. So far so good.. No prob

its true that aft 3 mths, everything will settle down le. First 3 mths is really tedious n test patient. Its like a process, bb will outgrown it.
 


Jeanie- yeap heard that after 3 mths everything will be stable!! I'm counting down to my gal 3rd month ;p Last fed her at 12plus now she awake for milk... Joining sunrise club le ;p

Errrr.. Ivy.. my #1 had colic.. but don't think last for 3months la.. if not I think I will kee siao... and lucky thing got MIL to help... bb liked her carrying cos she is quite fleshy hahaha.. so always can calm him down... and when I carry.. will cry.. cos bone nia.. and super wam my temperature... under confinement.. so was super jealous whenever MIL carry him.. and calm him down.. sigh... but think last for awhile nia...

Ya.. I was hoping 3months to come too.. actually.. bb more or less settled down liao... think feeding wise... now she is quite routine le.. *cross finger* *touch wood* lolx.. hopes it will maintain...

jeanie.. aiya... jian fei slowly ya.... if not shang shen... then lagi no good... you going causeway ah.. I wanted to go today too.. but think other days ba... Sunday.. we always go Lot 1 for brunch.. so you can find me there hehehe...

but 3M jab.. juz remembered... must cause fever hor... so I will start to introdue gripe water one week bfore her jab... some say will cool the body down... and preventive of fever..
 
sharon, mine still got one more month to go! Currently 7 weeks nia. Ur gal good leh, slept from 12 to 6.. Mine odd timing..also 6 hrs but its 9pm to 3am.. Then 5 plus 7 plus wake up again.. Grrr...

sandy i think the colic is not everyday, but will keep having it on and off for at least 3 mths. One thing i notice, if she cry alot she got more air... but she like to cry cos no patient, sometimes make me so kancheong, i tot aiya naked all day lah.

sharon urs is not sunrise club, urs ok. Mine feed 11pm, then 2am, then 630am.. siong..
 
Sandy, i'm not bf anymore. Was on medication since i have wound inflammation n pus. Then supply no more. I din go on diet too. Plus i nvr have gastric problems b4 preggie leh. Now the stomach is still sore n pain after so long.....Especially when i burp n turn on bed.

Thanks jeanie but i can't help to think why am i so unlucky.... Pus, wound inflammation, No milk supply, grandpa passed away, extracted wisdom tooth n now dunno if is gall stones or gastric that is so painful that i can't carry my bb

The elders say give bb drink abit paoshen one day before jab, will help to prevent high fever.

Linglee, lets jia you together! But like sandy say, slowly la, i also scare shang shen. I think doing housework is a good form of jian fei mtd.

Ivy, nowadays gripewater no alcohol liao, is safe to drink daily. You can feed one spoon then let hr drink plain water or dilute inside water. If u scare, add more water. For me, i dilute with 40ml of water n let him finish. Sometimes i add more water, but still only let him drink ard 40ml only. Let him taste and used to more bland de.
Did you burp ur girl? Helps prevent colic, and can put her lie flat on ur chest.
Mine slept at 9pm, wake at 2+, 5+, 7+,10+ for feed...
 
jeanie, she is hard to burp, but will keep trying. I din feed water, cos they say breastfeed baby by right better dun drink water, dunno where i read will intoxicated?

einnoc, dun think so much, cos my hubby always say, dun think of things that might not have an answer, might as well tink whats ahead for you and bb, when she start to call u mommy.

Today my hubby make papaya fish soup, din expect it to be so nice... he say i bring to the march gathering lah.. but he say only 1 tbsp each mommy cos pot so small haha.
 
einnoc - dun b stress.. u will b alrite soon.. bb noe u still a great mummy.. no bf neber mind.. take good care of urself.. recover soon and u can carry and play wif ur bb soon!! =)

ivy- wah! ur hubby so good.. can cok papaya soup! tink most mummies's hubbies beli nice except mine.. weekday nite neber help in feeding or even wake up to c bb.. but he workin.. so i dun care.. weekends oso like that.. amy mummies' hubbies as lazy as mine??
 
ya..me too..bf will shed kilos oso dun really work on me...maybe we muz bf long enough den will lose weight? hmm...

I tried to wear my skinny jeans last wk but cannot wear!! sob sob...the hip part still abit big so cant button. I haven buy any cny clothes yet, cny gotta wear dress again....

have u all tried ur pre preg clothes, e jeans?

Miu, my hb oso cnt wake up at nite. He cnt even hear bb cry. Lol. Bt I think they are too tired liao. Wk in the day so I oso nv wake my hb up at nite. Heehee

im curious to c if i can fit into it mah so juz try n who noes,cannot wear...t-shirts n tops i still can wear, its e bottom part...now so bz wif bb oso no time to exercise...duno when den can shrink back.

miumiu, normal lah, a lot of man like tat. My HB also must scold or be reminded, arbo he sleep like pig.

Alicia i lost alot of weight, slimmer than before pregnant, one thing is stress taking care of bb alone and 1st week of confinement bit depress due to CL, Mother, HB not supportive in my total BF. Then CL left, too tired, lack of sleep taking care of bb alone. But i think lost too fast, not very healthy, think i will put on weight fast once i stop BF, cos i usually not so skinny.
I now bottom can wear, top cannot cos breast bigger.

Shaine, aiyo normal, my girl suckle 5 mins, then i do stunts with her, lift her up, burp her, tickle her, switch breast... sometimes no use then give up hehe.

Aiyo must take care, they said dun slim down too fast too...

yunzz- haha me too can fit into tops that are bigger, those slim fit tee also cannot fit the chest area :p
 
Alicia, I can fit in a few bottoms. Some Tops oso can but I find the hip part most diff to shed lor.. I everyday bf, wake up in mid of nights etc oso no use.. Sianzzzz.. Duno hw long it takes to regain.
 
Almost all my pre preg clothes can't fit! Problem area is the tummy n butt leh

As for Hubby, I got a 24-xiao Hubby. He's more hardworking n hands-on than me. Sigh shame on me...
 
shaine, if we manage to get there early, will help out, will get my hubby to arrange food lah, he say he will arrange those he like at one corner.

Yes slim down fast = unhealthy also... thus i think bit of depression 1st week of confinement.

calamari, thats good, i tell u bb will be sticky to mother no matter what, so good that bb can be close to dad, u wont be so siong.

I am back from jalan jalan.. hb juz bought some shorts/bermudas for CNY... me can only c c look look nia.. sigh..

Also can't fit back to my pre-pregnancy size yet... don't think bf will aids in slimming down.. is the stress and tireness that slim you down la...

Ivy.. don't stress too much.. and think too much.. teh fact that we are able to carry our bb till delivery is a great job le.. that not everyone/anyone canb do it.. You are a great mummy ya...

for the past week my boy has not been sleeping well in the day. either wan to cry to sleep, the moment put him down in cot will cry or sleep 15mins then eyes wide open again. this can go on from 9am to 9pm. however he can sleep very soundly at nite. any mummies encounter this too? any idea y? I tried swaddling him. it only works initially nw doesn't seem to work anymore. ARGH!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!

all mummies - prob is my hubby is light sleeper but he dun wan to wake up lo.. sianz!!

for mi.. some bottoms can and some bottoms cannot..
my tops oso some can spme cant.. cuz chest big liao.. now i tink chest big no good.. wahaha..

my boy feeding timing same as yrs. any idea hw delay the last feed to later? he always very zun 1, 920pm wan his last feed even if i juz fed him @ 8pm.
 
me too still cant fit into some of my bottoms. hip still big leh so sad.... that stubborn 5.5kg so diff to shed leh. BTW mummies, when can we stay doing situp huh?
 
snowpear, ya lor.. my bb was like that also... Everytime wana sleep must cry and it always happen 1.5 hours from her feeding time...... then sleep a while, put her on bed, wake up shortly.. But she's an angel at night, wake up every 3-4 hours at night. lol..
But I realised that it is perhaps caused by overtiredness. Cos I read that newborns 0-3 mths babies will be overtired if they are awake for more than 1.5 hours. And when my bb is overtired, she will seek for comfort and put herself to sleep and that is suckle.
So nw, i try to put her to sleep before the 1.5 hours.. Yesterday was a success.. She didn't make fuss when she slept and she was able to sleep till the next feeding time.
But today... not as perfect as ytd but she still manage to sleep much longer than last time.. got to take it slowly I guess..
Also note that don't put your baby down too fast if you are carry him cos in the initial stage of "Active sleeping", they tend to wake up very easily.


Sandy, same same.. I also total latch so my hubby also can't help. Initially he would wake up to change diapers. Now, he sleeps like log liao. haha...

Miu, same also.. some can, some cannt. Cos mine a lot of tight-fitting tops and bottoms. lol.. But now wear non-wired bra hor, alot of clothes not nice also leh..
 
Any mummies.. still let bb wear mitten?

I tried not letting her wear today.. so she didn't sleep well.. cos when she accidentally scratch her face.. she will cry... so now I think she is very tired le..

Will soon wipe her.. and pat her to sleep..

My CL left yest noon &amp; had a tiring nite yest &amp; day 2day handling bb....;p
She wake up every 2hrs in d day &amp; almost 3hrs in d nite yest.

Juz bk shopping at vivo. Same too, can fit into most of the pre-preggy clothes especially the bottom. My tummy &amp; hip is still quite big... sighzzz.. wonder wat to wear for CNY. Think got to find a bb doll dress.

Ainsley what u mean by 1.5hrs must put her sleep, my girl same situation as you. Can list down the timing example? I want to try to get her to sleep day time.

trip was not bad...i hand pumped or pump using freestyle everywhere... in toilets, even when inside the floral bath of a spa haha best was pumping on the airplane in my seat... e tings we do just to maintain ss :p i put on 1 kg haiz while bb lost 300gm when i came back... turns out she dun like frozen ebm and hence lost weight cause dun really want to drink... now i headache cause have quite alot of frozen ebm.. dun want to waste them...


ivy n miumiu, bb dun really know how to latch now.. tink my flow too slow for her compared to bottle

i brought the stylofoam box to bali, can buy it for $3 in ntuc extra.. then just pump n freeze whenever i can... once frozen i just left them inside the stylofoam box with 2 freezing gels pack (S$2 each from daiso) and seal the entire thing with musking tape.. last time in bangkok i checked in the entire stylofoam box n was ok.. the milk stayed frozen till i reached home.. this time round, i hand carried on board the plane.. i thought i wouldnt be able to hand carry cause od the strict liquid restriction and i did get stop at security, surprisingly when i told the balinese guards its baby's milk, they let me pass

btw just to check is anyone aware whether will breast milk cause phlegm in babies? i know formula milk will... but i never heard breast milk will... just now bb vomitted aot of milk and all quite phlegmy.... i was very surprised cause thot only formula will cause phlegm... is it cause she is allergic to diary products and i take alot of cow milk in my diet?
 
roxy...my gal also thrown up once in TMC @ parents craft. worst part was Mrs Wong was actually feeding her and she was trying to burp her and she merlion onto Mrs Wong dress....after that Mr Wong commented that our house might be very dusty that she threw up. Later on, we went on and vacumm and mop the entire house (might be dusty due to MSCP and renovation nearby) and so far so good as long as the enviroment she is staying is clean.

sandy, i also dun tink so, so im very surprised to find wat she vomitted phlegmy.. she vomitted onto me as i was carying her and i went to touch it, consistency n thickness is exactly like phlegm.. tinking whether i drink too much cow milk make her allergic
