so cute &amp; clever of babies! But I'm too lazy to try lah... is your baby on Size S diapers still?
I intend to buy Nepia diapers in bulk - 4 packs of size S. I wonder if I'd overbuy?

Already now, going to outgrow newborn size at 3 weeks....


I'm also using a single avent electric pump. i bought another 2nd hand just the electric pump, but still haven't tried pumping both sides. heard it yields good output, but i am also worried I'll have oversupply...
 


So busy today, realised when my gal get older, she tend to seek for play more often, now she's quite awake in the daytime except one afternoon nap which is now :p sometime play with her until run out of ideas haha...

Wah miumiu &amp; mstann, can hold for 6hrs so long? Mine ard 4-5hrs nv pump, breast will feel tight n breastpads will be wet

so normally I calculate properly before heading for movie with hubby or going out without my "portable breastpump- my little Daphne" :D

Jeanie- guess will really get into serious business this weekend to shop for cny clothings for Daphne and myself. Went out a few times these two weeks, manage to catch a few glances but no time to really shop cause am always out for either movie or meeting friend for dinner so quite rush! Anyway fox, gap,mothercare n cottonon baby are all having discount

ya, heard pumping for 2 sides is better.. always better to have oversupply den low supply..hehe.. can store as backup.

shaine : maybe my milk ss low so dun get wet breastpads. I do latch bb in btwn the 6hrs thou (intechge the breasts).
Yes, breasts do feel tight esp at nite...;p....so now need longer time to pump out each time since now pump abt 6hrs now....;p
Dunno milk ss will drop as a result ?

Ainsley, you brought your bb for vaccination only at 6 weeks since u taking the 6-in-1 is it?

How about 4 weeks? Did you bring your bb for any check-up or vaccination?
 
sigh cl gone. have to settle all things on my own oredi... really missed having her ard.

today brought #2 for jaundice blood test. finally drop oredi though still have abit. pd was shock at his growth, 1kg within 2 wks. he commented #2 overfed (coz sometimes cl bottle feed) and ask me to stretch his feeding time. he also mentioned bb shld be drinking btw 90 - 100ml. now at 4 wks old #2 is 4.08kg (up from 2.83kg at birth)

sandy will most prob pop to ur place on sunday.

wow all ur hubs so busy wif work? must be tough on u girls doing things all by urself.

Mine was nearly 2kg when go for her 1M review.. 75%.. nurse said ok.. cos she is not short.. hehehe...

Sunday.. I will be at Lot 1 having brunch in the morning.. then jalang jalang till noon.. before I bring all the kids back home for their nap..

Arisz, I nv brg my bb to polyclinic cos I dun wan her to expose to virus. Polyclinic sure many patients. I went to gp. And when gg to b my turn then I went down..
 
sma||dreams, nepia is $15, mamy poko $16.80. If u intend to replace mamy poko with nepia, i must say its still not as good as mamy poko. And yes the size is a little big. I bought from isetan to test, think i will stick to mamy poko.

Sh@r()n-Sh@in3, ginnie, mstan, miu miu, u all pump each time how many ML?? How many times let down ah??? I dunno is it i dunno how to pump (by right straight forward right?), or i really cant let down well, or funnel not right size, i find it hard to get good volumn.. from day 1 till now, still 80 - 100ml at most, baby already drinking 120 to 150 ml..

my baby same as u, 5weeks and 2days old, drinking 130ml every 3hrs..no increase since he was 3weeks old.
according to wong boi boi's book, 1-2mth old bb should drink 120-150ml..so our baby is normal.. i plan to increase his intake next week to 140ml then 150ml in week 7 or 8..
 
ainsley-i'm using the small red pail that my mum ask me to buy for my guo da li.. you can get from those shop selling household stuff very cheaply at around $3-5 ba.. sometimes my MIL didnt even use the pail, just hold the baby over the used diaper.. once baby can sit up den will get those cute mini toilet bowl from kiddy palace..

ivy-mine is quite pathetic.. about 80ml.. most of u is supplementing bm with formula but for my case is supplementing formula with bm.. ha..

so far what diapers have you all been using? i think mamypoko is not bad.. huggies ultra is gd as its absorbent but will become very thick and bulky when it absorbs urine... gg to try pampers active,heard its gd.. pampers comfort very lousy..
 
ginnie, my pumping is also pathetic lor... i so worried u know, that when i send her to infant care and i go to work, i cannot pump enuff for her. Cos going infant care means she need better immune system also, thus hope to give her breast milk at least 6 mths.

I try so many, huggies ultra, huggies comfort, drypers, mamy poko, pet pet, nepia, fitti, u name it i tried it...

So far only mamy poko is good. Huggies comfort, too narrow, shit will gush up sometimes / leakage. Fitti will give marks on her leg, pet pet too rough, huggies ultra thick also dunno why shit will gush up leh. so far only mamy poko seems to absorb fast enuff.

i just had my first massage yesterday. the massage lady helped me to massage for 1.5hrs but only spent 5-10mins massaging my tummy.. i think she spends too little time on my tummy.
how long does your massage lady massage your tummy?

how many times did u all do the massage?
 
ainsley- lol.. cheap and easy to clear! use pail still have to wash it.. haha..

yunzz-i didnt time it but i think the massage lady also didnt spend much time on the tummy.. its the binder that will help to flatten the tummy so dun worry. i did 5x.

ivy-icic.. dun stress yourself.. just try your best... so long as u give bm than no bm, ur baby will reap the benefits of better immunity..

i tink she did not bind my tummy very tightly leh. i was still feeling very comfortable even after dinner.
did u sleep with the binder on? i masage at 12.30pm and bath before i sleep at 11pm coz i cannot stand sleeping with the oil.
i paid $60 for 1.5hrs.. is tat the normal rate?

if u take the 6 in 1 jab, then no vaccination needs to be done during the 1mth checkup.
the 6in1 jab is done when baby is 1.5-2mths old.
 
pampers comfort is lousy, my baby's poo leak from the back to form a big patch on his clothes. his poo may tend to leak from the side too.
 
ok, most of you take 6-in-1 instead of the 5-in-1 is it? this vaccination is not by the PD huh? let's say for instance my pd is dr ang from tmc, do we approach him for the vaccination?
 
yunzz-mine charge $50 per session which usually last about 1hr and 20mins.. she will tie very tightly for me but after awhile it will be looser so more comfortable for me. I will sleep with the binder on but after a few days i didnt put liao cos i got rashes. Think becos my skin cannot breath..

hemmie-agree.. pampers comfort very lousy..

Weiting-i took 6-in-1. Vaccination can be by ur PD, GP or Polyclinic, depends on your preference.
 
Ginnie, lol.. Ya.. But I hv a dog at Hm. After I cleaned my #1 ah, her poo on newspaper was goneeeeee. Lol... so nw use pail better..
 
Ivy- I pump out 130 to 200ml each time depending on the interval. I force myself to drink water at least 2 cups for a 3-4hrs interval pump, overnite can pump up to 200ml, not alot actually... Just enough only for each feed. Daytime I will latch on so sometime is even lesser. I'm using pigeon pump which I find it not good, sometime hand express got milk but the pump doesn't seem to pump any out...
 
joanna : yes, my bb drink very little so can meet her demand. But I do latch her in btwn d 6hrs.

She's 4kws old but drink less than 120ml, maybe ard 80ml, is it ok/too little ?

Ivy : I find that if I pump every 6hrs, I can pump abt 2 times more than I pump at 3hrs.
At 6hrs, for the last few days, I can pump out abt 140-160ml but I hv to pump longer time becos difficult for the milk to come out.

Btw, I find that I do hv the tingling pain feeling ard breast area ard 2hrs after pump/during resting, do I hv to pump out when I hv this tingling feeling ? But my breast not engorged or full, maybe abt 50-70% full.

Btw, I was quoted abt $285 for 6-in-1 vacc, is it expensive ?
 
Went to see LC just now, hubby rushed back to bring us there. It was baby's feeding time so she managed to suckle quite long on both sides, then LC massaged. Then pump. She said lumps are cleared Liao and that the small lump on my nipple is breast tissue due to over pressing. She advised me to wear fitting nursing bra n to get bigger funnel breast shields. She said standard size may be too small esp when areola area is lumpy. Paid $42.80. :p

Pauline, i find TMC LC always ask us buy bigger funnel, but medela website say the funnel should not suck the aerola in leh.. so i also dunno whether to change funnel.
 
Mstan I have d same concern as u, don't know whether to change smaller or bigger funnel, my current one seems to suck d aerola into the tunnel which medela webby says its not the case right? Any advice on this?

Ainsley - where did u have your vaccination? The price vary so much de ah?
 
wei ting : I using ameda dual pump not medela leh. It does suck d aerola into the tunnel too. So now my nipples are big, long &amp; ugly.....;p....sometimes when I pump 2 long, will b little swollen too....;p
 
Sorry mstan, I meant to refer to ivy with regards to d size of d funnel... I also have swollen nipples when I pump too long, sigh!
 


Ivy, ya lor and they keep harping on the nursing bra. I tried on their nursing bra but the cup size for 34 is so big and the band is so tight. So I didn't buy it. Not cheap anyway, $60. :p I don't intend to change funnel yet cos I'm using the Mumsfairy super shield as well as the medela soft shields. Prefer the Mumsfairy super shields and the funnel is bigger than the Medela ones.
