my cousin who bought the herbs last week @ si ma lu spent only abt $150 she say alr a lot of things liao..

do u think ameda lactaline dual pump is better or freestyle is better??

last time i use medela PIS.. but recent got a friend been using ameda and told me its not bad and so much more cheaper than medela freestyle.
(ameda selling abt $300 plus @ robinson, freestyle cost $460 on spree).

i like the medela softfit breastshield because the part touching the aerola is like silicon material so it kind of massage the aerola. and when pumping the nipple will not be sucked into the flange so not painful. I cecked the ameda site, they also have an attachment to b placed into the normal flange but its an additional accessories that doesn't come with the set.

on one hand, i wanna c my bb soon.
on the other hand, i prefer him to hang on in my tummy till edd or slightly later, till i finish up tying up the loose ends of my work. :p
 
hmm... went to fu lu shou complex to get some confinement herbs &amp; stuffs last fri with my mum &amp; sis.
but didnt spend a bomb like justalamb.
my sis &amp; i spent abt $200+ each.
justalamb, u must hve bought all the 好料, rite? ;p

i have some baby girl clothes from 0-6months. some bought from mothercare, cerisi, maxkhool. all are very brand new. my girl only wear for few times only. if you keen, you may sms me to meet me at hougang or bugis. i only want to exchange for pigeon 3pack wet tissue. my hp is 9144 6750.

ling lee, same... on one hand i cant wait to see my bb.. but i oso hope he can stay in there longer so me n hubby can enjoy our last few wks of "er ren shi jie"..

finally set up the cot n packed my hospital bag.. later gonna go for my 37wks checkup..

Morning ladies! Juz wondering for those mummies who have popped, wat r the signs u have b4 labour? Anything to look out for? Besides all the 'show' .....
 
Tat's great macjoe enjoy your leave eh...me actually getting bored of waitin...so many mummies has popped early...for me I'm looking out for shows can't wait to pop as my backache is gettin frequent n my legs r getting tired n sore with even short walks
 
genesis, me too.. backache, tired legs, pelvic pain, etc... in the end i'm walking sooooo slowly most of the time... am such a road hog in the public...
 
those walking towards me can understand lahz.. but those walking behind me must be cursing n swearing... well, before i got pregnant, sometimes i'm in hurry n the person walking infront of me walking so slowly, i will be quite irritated... :x
 
Mummy Foo... dun really fancy friso. I saw my BIL using and it tend to hv a lot of bubble and i think the nutrients also nt that high if i remember correctly.

My eldest boy is on enfalac or u can choose similar. But both price on the high side.
 
dear mummies, i just popped yesterday at 9pm.

8am - waterbag burst and leaking.
9am - admitted to hospital.
10am - induced
5pm - went to delivery suite to enhance contraction. was 2-3cm dilated, but contraction bearable.
7pm - pain become stronger and unbearable, took the gas but gave up, coz feel like vomiting.
8pm - doc came and check, fully dilated. *lucky*, so went ahead to push at least 10 times before bb come out at 9pm.

thats all for now...

Me opposite. 2 days before my water bag burst, doc est my bb 2.9kg. BB come out 2 days later at 3.4kg. BB was 37wks+. I think estimated weight not very accurate cos project based on BB tummy.

Hi gals, I stayed 3 days. Bill is before claiming Medisave and includes doc/anesthetist/bb doc professional fees. Medisave can claim abt $4k. Oh, I never realise (as a 1st time mummy) that we get 2 bills one. One for mother and one for baby. And on top of the hospital package price, there is also a list of things to pay which are outside package, like medicine, use of facilities, and overtime charges etc.

Well, but at the end of the day, most impt is bb. Money will have to earn back after ML lor

mummyfoo: my girl is drinking half EBM, supplement with Friso. It is for digestion and suits my nephew who has alot of wind in his tummy. My girl passes ALOT of motion and not so "windy" so I am changing to Similac after we finished this small tin. i am quite worried she passes so much motion that she is not absorbing enough.


My Medela Swing is getting noisier and noisier and milk increases only a bit. Thinking if i shd order the Ameda double pump today. Add up to be quite alot of money, two sets =(

Anyone taking Fenugreek? I started taking yesterday but i hate the smell when I go to the toilet and wonder if it will affect the taste of my EBM. Any advise?
 
GG Lee - oh medisave can claim $4k.. that is a lot hor?? then not so scary la.. ya!! mi cant wait!! exciting man!!
 
As for the hospital ward, prebooked also no use. I booked a single room 2 months ago but when I went there, there wasn't any available so first night I shared with a neighbour. But the next few days I was transferred to a single room which was sooooo much more comfortable tho' hb complained abt his back aching from sleeping on the PVC sofa bed but he said the food was not bad. =)
 
miumiu, i'm excited for u too! less than 24hrs to go!! and wahz, really noe how to pamper urself... facial somemore.. kekek..

think medisave claim is:
- $450 for normal delivery
- $1400 for csect
- $450 for pre-delivery expenses (e.g. gynae package)
- $450 per day for hospitalisation
 
thanks to all wishes..! i didn't know i can do it without epi as well.. hubby say since i decided not to go for it, then must perserve... i was banging my head against the pillow everytime the contraction came.. almost wanted to gave up already...

to all other mummies who have not popped.. jia you... !

as for the bed, i book a single bedded room, but was fully occupied yesterday. we decided to go for the next level of single, since my hubby is accompanying me, dun want him to suffer any sleep plus its only for 2 nights.

so pre-book also no use...

Today I called TMC to change appt cos my original appt is this thurs, the nurse said this week appt all full, as TC is going on leave next week. Is it true? Aiyo, if my bb decide to come out next week then he will not be deliver by TC liao leh.
 
Just tried my luck to call Mdm Ida for the massage, she is fully booked liao. She has recomended her friend, Mdm Noor, anyone heard about her? Thought of changing my massage lady as she is charging 550 for 7 sessions, and 1 session is 1hr only.

U mean TMC is fully booked liao??? Damn, which means we need to pay more for the room, i've booked a superior deluxe single.

fitti : think when yr c-sect wound better then can massage. Some told me 1 mth after c-sect.
 
miumiu, i havent start confinement yet, so dun think 1 mth is long.. considering we've been waiting 9 mths for D-Day... but think once i start confinement (esp. no bathing, some food cannot take, etc) 1 mth will be damn long lohz... hahah..

canopy, think TMC 1 bedder fully booked (as of yesterday).. urs superior deluxe single think is the higher end one still available bahz...

Miumiu-this thurs appt scarly, TC said bb too big for me to deliver wanna induce, (dunno lah), last thurs bb 3.3kg, dunno this week will be how big? Think I have to ask him if I next week give birth n he is not around how huh.
 
btw ladies, yesterday nite when lying on my bed, I heard a loud crack sound from my pelvis, does it mean that my bb is trying to engage? pelvis trying to widen? last visit bb head still not engaged.
