Hi mstan8888,

I delivered in Mt Alvernia. The nurse will stack the pads on top of each pad. There will be a huge slim pad act as base.(to absorb any leak from the other pads.) And the other 2 pads will staggered in a way that the both pads are long enough to absorb the menses.

They will also place a sheet on the bed incase your flow is really heavy and will not stained the bedsheet. (Dun know if TMC also doing the same)

I also dun know how to use the loop pad. Just put in place and limit my movement. Anyway, the hospital provided me with a disposable panty which can keep the pad in place very very well.
 
mstan - y not u go and buy the adhesive ones.. loop ones like damn difficult to use lor.. mi bot from kiddy palace..
mi bot the medela electric plus.. cuz dunno will hav milk or not.. dun wan to spend too much oso..
when is ur EDD?? mi oso at TMC..

I have also been told by my boss that when I come back from my maternity leave, I will be transferred to other departments. Probably because I'm taking 16 weeks 1 shot. The 1st time I told him I'm going to take my maternity leave 1 shot, he already told me dun come back after my maternity leave.

My prince weighs 2.74kg. When discharge, he is 2.65kg.

Maternity Pads
I bought 2 packet of maternity pads. So far, have finished off 1 packet liao...this excludes the packet the hospital provide.

I bought 2 packs of maternity pads and have half balance one from previous delivery. So total: 2 and half packets.

My #1 I used quite a number of packs...I think I used about 3packets in total!

My baby is kicking me hard..and I feel cramp in my tummy.....hmmm...very scared she will pop out early too!

mummyfel- your #1 is normal delivery?? i'm packing 1 pack of maternity pad (10pcs) to the hospital, do u think is enuff?? but hospital do not provide...
 
Yes, mine #1 is normal delivery with epidural. My flow is super....I changed so many pads a day...

1 Pack of 10pcs should be enough. Hospital stay the most 2days. : )
 
ya congrats poppi! so excited by your post! For me dun want to pop so early as I'm still not ready in preparing the stuffs. but i've been feeling super tired...back pain now....
 
poppi, need to use 3 at one go? then how long does the 3 last? how often must change? isn't it very ma fan to go toilet so often and change? with all the pain from the episotomy and stuff?

miumiu &amp; genesis, me too have not wash bb stuff and did not buy diaper, thinking of buying a tin of FM for night feed in case can't produce milk for bb but dun know what milk to buy also, friend recommend similac
 
yiqi - i agree.. it is reali not easy for preggie mummies lor.. sigh.. go thru so much then after that deprive us of our maternity leave.. sick!
 
DecMum - tink hospital will provide a tin le.. so nid to buy first.. ha.. hope mi got enuf bf.. cuz hope to do total bf!! ambitious hor?? hee!!

I am trying not to get too excited coz my reports haven;t finished yet. haha. My doc told me to c section next week but I hope to hang on for a while till the following Monday since I've not done much preparation yet.

yiqi and justalamb, you must hang on and don;t be swayed by mean words by the HR etc ok? They are trying to make you give way. Obviously taking advantage of your fragile physical state. yiqi, healthcare sector or not, if they are in the business for money, they can change face very fast. Very disgusting.

forget all about the mense liao cos always thought breastfeed dun have mense one.. 3 year back after deliver my boy liao forget every thing. Only throw few pcs of those normal heavy flow pad in my bag haha.

DecMum, nepia diaper nt bad, u can order online or call up and order minimum 4 packs and they will deliver to your doorstep. Me use for my boy before.

now prepare mummy poko diapers for coming newborn.
 
miumiu, i think not all hospital will provide tin of milk... i will deliver at mount a, i also hope to totally bf but not sure if physically i can tahan the night feed every 2-3 hourly or not. ha ha
 
mummies, will you standby fm for bb? which brand? any reviews on friso?

yiqi, early in my pregnancy, I already expected that my boss pull some stunts, so mentally prepared. When he told me, I wasn't that shocked. I just take all my maternity benefits and look for new job.

We must stay happy and cheerful, so our babies will be smiley and happy. I hope things will turn out good for you also.

I only know for Glen E... they provide either Similac or Friso... but is those glass bottle..

Jeanie.. that was what I was told ya.. you may want to call the nurse to check..if juz take 2times ok bo..
 
sandy, i think i'll just resume bah.. just in case.. my hubby always scold me cuz i like being my own doctor. ie, like those supplements which dr fong give, i only take as i feel like. btw, during my last appt, the nurse gimme a tin of friso. i dunno wanna use or not..
 
muimiu : I bought those nite adhesive pads but know that TMC will gv those loop maternity pad so dunno how to use them. Anyway already charge so as well to use the loop maternity pad provided by TMC althou will bring a pack of my own adhesive pads too.
I shld be delivering earlier than EDD becos gynae gv me medication to aid against preterm labour.
Hopefully can deliver after 35wks or better as late as possible after 37wks.....;p
 
muimui : TMC dun provide a tin of FM but rather those ready-mixed FM in glass bottles....;p
So I will get a small tin of FM in case....;p

i'm 37 weeks today. Baby's head is lying low, but his face is facing front.. so doc said most likely will be a long labor for me and baby will not be so early.. dunno to be happy or not too. i guess ok as long as baby is healthy. plus down with gastric flu these 2 days. sian
 
sandy, its the nurse ask me whether wanna have sample or not then i say ok lor. then she gimme the 900g tin. at first was quite shock cuz i tot should be pkt type. maybe you enquire for it? then need fill up a form. since its free, ask for it la. hehe

skinneybeenie, any chance bb will turn and face the back?
 


jeanie, i read up online that can do some exercise to help, but supposed to start at least 6-7 weeks before. i only just found out.. the internet also says some babies will turn during labor.. but in such cases where babies faces are in front, the labor is longer and more likely emergency c-section.

so sad.. i thot as long as my preg i eat healthily and dun gain too much weight and can hold till 37 weeks can liao. now another "problem" presents itself
