i used to pump 3-4 times..coz my old pump not so efficient for me...
and i need to switch sides for an hour... >.<"

but now its fully emptied and for me... i only pump when time's up and my girl's still sleeping.. heheh..
to relieve engorged breasts.. kekeke.. :p

Mmm..where to get the milk trays??

have to if not the volume we pump out its not enough to feed them but i dont wake myelf up to pump in the middle of the night. lazy mommy. :p

actually nite pump is very impt (if you are not latching at nite). if u never pump... ur supply will dip.

I also can fully empty using my Pigeon manual pump lah. Ytd empty both sides took me about 15mins? Not very long also mah, just that if I was to pump a few times everyday, hands sure damn tired after that.

haha!! we both equally bian tai! i also will stimulate nipple to achieve letdown. actually with double pump can achieve multiple letdown but just that with nipple stimulation its much much faster. i usually done with pumpping in 10 mins. if not will take 20 mins.

talking about pumping... have tried pumping once for the past 2 days, give 1 bottle 90ml at 9+pm for the last feed of the day, but seem that my boy doesn't sleep longer leh, same as latching, still wake up every 3 hours. should i give him more EBM? but scared he will merlion... how???

so many young mummies here... me feel so old :p

wah. u so fast go back to wk? after confinement? i will be hm more den 3mths. so only intend to start bottlefeed at 6wks

ya.. last time 300ml was after latch...

but good news la.. been pumping more liao.. me now increasing back to abt 100+ ml on both sides AFTER latch.. before latch, i managed to hit ard 200+ - 300ml. hope it stays this way.

I have to go back to work... Just last night ( end of the month ) My HB brought the things for me to do ( Salary, PV, etc ) I did it until almost 3am. Tired and cranky... If I go back asap, at least I can get these settled fast. My leave I can take anytime... So if I can work... I'll work!

sounds so exciting and havoc in hingsight. but your parents must have been worried stiff for you back then! my mum ever gotten mistaken as my #1's mother too. there was once when she bought him to the GP and she forgot his birth cert number, forgot to bring this, forgot to bring that. the GP thought she was a confused first time mummy, so funny when she came home to tell me that!

i usually don't care about what other people say. i cut because it was too long, and there were even chipped bits at two fingers. i might be cutting again today because just now when i fed him, he was scratching me and the nails felt long. as for waking him up for feeds, i do so because i want to time it nicely so that i feed him once before i go to bed -- that will allow me to have 3 hours uninterrupted rest instead of having him wake me up abruptly just when i am about to doze off =)

i used the nuk nail clipper. i got mine from tom and stephanie, but the clipper should be available at major retail stores. here's a pic of how the clipper looks like ...

Hi all

Congrats to all mummies who have popped! How are all the mummies here? Been some time since I last post.

Have been busy with clarice and am having blocked ducts again. Haiz... Tried to clear them but it does not seem to be successful. Am still feeling the pain when I touch those areas. Any solution?

Apart from blocked ducts, my wrist is giving me pains and sometimes it's hard for me to carry clarice.

I'm suspecting that clarice has got relux as she has been vomitting her milk after some feeds. Have to monitor her for a few more days and if it continues will have to bring here to PD. Anyone experience this?

Where do you keep ur breast pump after it's been sterilised? I read that have to keep in a container then put into the fridge. But I only keep it in an air-tight container and leave it in a cupboard. Is it ok?

i also use the pigeon cotton bud with the tiny tip. but i will only dig out if its close to the surface of the hole, too deep i will just leave it.

i leave my pumps in the sterilizer till i next use it then i open up the sterilzer wor....
i leave even the bottle and everything inside the steriliser..and if i add in new things, i just sterilizer everything all over again...
coz bottles after sterilizer if unused for 6-8 hours also need to resterilized...
so i just leave everything inside...

My CL also ok. make sure i eat enough but she dont sweep floor/mop everyday. i also paiseh to ask her. she dont iron clothes also. i got to ask my hourly maid come on sunday. another expenses.

reflux is quite normal. my #1 has it. i only keep burping her in between feeds.. and they will outgrow it.

for pump etc, usually will be in the sterilizer as i use it very often (i only expressed). but those extra bottles, i keep it in air tight container. so far have been doing it for my #1 and no problem keke so #2 oso same

But u need to express milk at least once at night cause your hormone level is highest in the middle of the night.

I just called Parentcraft yesterday cause my 2 week old has been sleeping 8-11 hours at night...

<font color="aa00aa">Casandra</font> - what you can do is take cotton ball, lightly wet it, then pull some cotton out and twist till long strip... then slowly put cotton strip into baby's nose and turn a few times.. then pull out cotton strip, the dirty stuffs should stick on cotton strip

Was reading your blog. And I am so glad to know you are also one other mummy who doesn't do the traditional confinement. Hi-5!!! Me too! I was so sick of people commenting this and that also. I also don't care what people said and cut my baby's nail when we reached home from the hospital and didn't wear mitten after that, prefer to let her explore the fingers and senses. Think we can be good friends :) But I think you are even more powerful than me, at least my mum is here to cook for me, you do everything yourself, you are one powerful mum!!! All the best!

finally can online. my laptop and contractions has been driving me nuts. been having contractions since 3+am for say... every 15mins?

9+am VE say i 4cm dilated. the doc on duty say wan break my waterbag to hasten the process.. i gave her the O_O look. say i want to avoid that (heard more pain lo!) After they discussed with my gynae, i no need to break waterbag since i am making progress from 1cm to 4cm.. HAHAAA... so happy. but i have been having these damn contractions for the longest time. ARGH!!!!! machiam BAD MENSTRUAL CRAMPS!!!! am having one now! >.<

anyone know how waterbag break naturally de mah? the nurses and everyone has been asking if i need painkillers.. i have been rejecting T_T

everyone ganjiong ask i give birth liao bo.. i a bit fed up -.-' even the mummies in my ward already admit n discharge.. OMG. I am stuck O_O

Wow.. You're having tat bad menstrual cramp feeling and you can still type... If it was me, 'd have a million typo errors man...

My waterbag didn't break... When I was already "dying" from my contractions and the midwife kept asking me to pee... ( squatting on the urinal ) She ask my HB to see this thing... ( HB said it looked like a balloon coming out from my below ) I don't know what is that up till now... XD

Hang in there... We the moomoo mommies can do it! XD
