Have to distribute cakes de. especially to relatives. i dont wanna celebrate bcos of troublesome so tot to distribute cakes can le. Some can give voucher also. Save trouble to go plc to plc. :p

I really hope milk supply will increase soon. I've already fed bb FM once, hope I dun have to resort to that again, or it'll turn into a habit. It's so much easier and faster :p

It bled because it is sensitive. One side was inverted for many years till I was pregnant and started using the nipplette to correct it. Thus it gets kinda painful when she latches on, as her suction is so much more powerful than the nipplette itself. 1st day it bled. I stopped giving her that breast. But the nurse told me that once I've rested a day, it's alright to give baby to latch on that breast for 10-15mins to stimulate the milk. If not it won't be balanced XD. But now that there is blood when I pump, I don't know if I should carry on on that side...

Maybe call the lactation consultant after lunch... Getting hungry!

Leaking while BF-ing
just wonder what do u all do when one breast is leaking while u are BF-ing the other side? i put tissue paper to absorb, is there other way?

my boy now 11 days old liao, still have jaundice and sleep most of the time. usually he latches on one side 10-15 min, then dun want to drink. usually i try to switch side, but at most he drinks 5 min. worst still, he sometimes doesn't swallow the last mouthful and spit out when i burp him.

Huishan, just notice that we got the same EDD date 28sep.

Just back from gynac checkup yesterday. Was strapped on CTG for 1/2hour.

Gynac said i have a lot of contraction, but i only feel tightening of tummy only, not really painful. He said he is expecting me to give birth these few days. He did a check for me and said that i am not dilate yet but cervix is soft already(does that mean it will dilate anytime?)

did VE on the day of induce oni. and ya i hate VE...when Dr Ho was doing the VE, i actually retreating back and back and was grabbing his wrist! once in the clinic where he found tat i was 2cm dilated and once in the delivery suite where he found tat i was oredi 4cm dilated. thereafter he burst my waterbag.

I just put breastpad on the non-nursing side to absorb the leakage.
But I know some mommies who put breast shells to collect the leaked milk.
You can also apply pressure on the areola to prevent it from leaking. Although I have no idea how I can hold my bb and press on the other boob at the same time, so I've never tried it.

ya rite...go to the clinic first. they will advice on when to proceed to the delivery suite...if like my induce case, after the insertion of the pessary, will haf to be strap on the CTG for an hr.

haven't had much time to log in since bb is here. It's like I'm a full time cow now. Latch on for an hr, drink Milo for 10mins, pump for another 1/2hr, clean up and keep ebm then about time for next feed Liao... If I pump immediately after bb latches on, both breast can only pump out like 10ml.. How should I increase milk supply ? I am only using a hand pump to pump bcos I find the electric pump painful and tend to make my nipple bleed leh

Hi Mummies,
I'm new to this thread.
My baby is supposed to due in late Oct, but she decides to arrive early...so now she's a September baby.
I had low placenta and was bleeding on Monday and so was admitted to hospital. The bleeding came again on Wednesday evening, and gynea advised me to go for an emergency c-section.
So baby gal arrived on 16th Sept, at only 34weeks, premature, but thank God, she is well.
So, to those mummies with low placenta problem, please be very careful, and go to hospital if there's bleeding. Don't take it lightly. We are lucky that both of us are safe and well.
Baby is still in hospital, but the PD said she can come home soon.

I've compiled my shopping list! No boots unfortch, cos no have my size for the design I want. I think it's too bulky also, so maybe I'll order them myself later when it's restocked.

how to tell if the bb is in fuss ah? i been bring bb out these days almost the whole day and i oso go shopping... at nite time whenever bb sleeep he make alot of noises not crying jus all kind of noises is it indicate fuss or tiredness? my bb will Grunts and stretching during asleep ,, very noisy..

did your sterlized your glass bottle b4 you store your ebm ah did you peel of the paper stick on the glass bottle , its seems very hard to peel them off leh? wat teats you intend to use?

my right breast are more probe to engorgement but strangely, right breast is the smaller breast leh? why seh?

you back to work in nov right? heard from shelled, our breast milk changes when our bb grow leh.. now u store (sep) , in nov , which in 2months old EBM..
 
milkyway- i agree wif michelle, if u dun pump ur supply will oni be enuf for ur boy n wont build up wor. y nt u stock up ur EBM in the freezer? can store up to 3mths mah. so far i hv stock up 3 pkts of my EBM in freezer juz in case i need them. those tat i pump out, i store in fridge n use them within 48hrs.

rach-haha u so funny leh! last nite my boy vomit a whole lot of my BM out man, tink got at least 50ml...so wasteful oso! wah ur gal can drk 90ml gd leh.

i think i better dont pump first.. my left breast seems to have too much milk leh.. i didnt even do anything.. mayb only use it to test out the Avent manual pump. NOw when i nurse my gal on the left side, she gets choke after 5mins. But the right side is ok. My left side starting to feel engorged so i gotta nurse her more on that side but worried that she keeps choking. So i gotta pull her out and burp her then feed her again.. very tiring. Right side no such prob.. and it does look smaller too... hmmm

will pump mayb towards end of 1st month when i can go out after 1st month!!! need to go for my facial+massage+shopping... hee... then will give her EBM lor. Dont think it's gd to introduce bottle for the 1st month rite? opps though some of the mummies here have introduced.

Please note that the kind of freezer the Medela chart is referring to is <u>NOT</u> the kind in our refrigerator hor.
It's the DEEP FREEZER sort.

And also take note that the Medela guideline is not based on Singapore weather hor. You notice their "room temperature" is 19-26 degrees?
Our room temperature in SG is average 30-32!!

If baby is fussing then won't be sleeping one lor. Make noise during sleep is just making noise during sleep lah.
You will know the true meaning of fuss when you cannot put down your baby without hearing screaming/crying.

i'm a lil dissapointed that i didn't get any labour signs this weekend, cos means i've to induce on tue/wed (which is actual EDD). on the upside, can spend a bit more time with my family + toddler. had jap food + watched inglorious basterds on fri. went queensway + grocery shopping on sat. went ikea to get my mum a computer table just now. think tomorrow i'll just sleep a lot ...

Hi All,

Need your help and advise.

My wife bill after stay at 4 bedded with Epidural total cost is 4000 plus. after 700 cash rebate and 1400 medisave. I need to come out cash abt 1900 which i find confusing. I got a friend friend who also deliver on the same day with me also stay 4 bedded with epidural and just diff gynae. Just need to come out cash at around 1200 dollar.

I just some of the forum and found out one of the reason for me to come out cash around 1900 is bcos my baby bill and my wife bill is added together. Thus my baby bill cant use Medisave to offset.

The reason they tell me is bcos my baby and my wife discharge together thus the bill is combined. But if the bill is combined i cant use my medisave to deduct for the baby bill.

Anyone who just deliever recently and baby and mother discharge together but the mother bill and baby bill is separated.

Please advise.

I gave birth in Thomson, and my bb's bill can be offset with some medisave leh.
I think best is for you to call the hosp and ask them to explain to you?
Actually you shld have asked them to explain on the spot before u paid. Until you got an answer you were happy with.
All these hosp calculation is sibei confusing. I think no one actually understands it except for the hosp themselves...

need some advise here on breast feeding here.....

my baby was very awake duirng the 1st 2 hours after hour, really regreted didnt try to latch her on to bf during her awake time

Have been trying to bf her yesterday for at least 5 to 6 times since yesterday, but she just refuse to suckle. She's been sleeping all the while, and the nurse will wake her up and latch her n on my breast, then she will cry if she's disturbed from her sleep. Even after latching on, she still refuse to suckle, though my nipple is in her mouth, she will close her eyes and continue to sleep. Tickle her doesnt work as well...hmm...then the nurse told me to try one last round which is ard 7am later, if she still refuse to suckle, then i have to decide whether to give her FM or not... Can experince mummies her pls help? Should i persist or let her have FM 1st...dun even feed her the colostrum yet...

My baby has had two very wet liquid yellow poo poo. Is that diarrhea or is it normal? It's so liquid that it flows up to the front of her diaper even. She's done that 3 times in the last 24 hours.

CL says its like lao sai..
we bought jing fong san for her.
after that ok liaoz...

did u bring her out or done anything besides staying at home?
