wah so many!!! i not intending to invite more than 40 this time. call me paranoid or kiasi or selfish, with all the flu thing gg around, im minimising other ppl contact with my baby. with so many guests, u cant avoid playing the "passing the baby" game. i dun like my baby being passed around from hand to hand like a ball!

oh i thought she has delivered already!
I did not have epidural during my 1st delivery and almost crushed my hubby's fingers.
This time I've decided to have epidural, but frankly it did not numb my lower body totally. I find it a bit errie when epi was injected, I can feel something flowing down my spine. I told myself just bear with it, it will save me the pain for the next few hours.
However, after injecting the epi, I could still feel the mild contraction. A few hours later, I felt quite umcomfy or rather a bit unbearable, requested to increase epi dosage. Again few hours later, could feel the pain at the peak of contraction, to the extent of holding onto railing. So requested increase dosage, but nurse told me is already max. Unless they give me another medication... which I dun quite understand. Anyway, they proceed upon my consent since it was a standing instruction under epi. With this, my legs were totally numb, not even wriggling my toes like earlier.
It makes me wonder why some pple say they can sleep after the epi, but for me I could still feel the pain, which makes sleeping impossible during the 6 hours labour.
Notwithstanding this, I still have no regrets choosing epi. It really reduces the pain level compared to without having epi.

Hihi, just an update. I have delivered 2 days ago. My princess Sherene is at a chubby weight of 3.645kg.. For me, is natural delivery plus epidural.
My bf is fine, able to meet her demand as at now..

She sae to me " mdm, how come u can wake up so many times to feed baby + pump and u no need to slp in the afternoon huh?" I was like !!!!!
Today I was reading thru the papers and saw those holidays advertisement - frankfurt and switzerland 8days guided tour at $988.... So cheap leh... - hw I wish I can go holiday but wif 3 kids nw - i doubt I can for the next 2 years. Sob sob

I agreed with NOT TO COMPARE the amount of EBM. That's why I have never published mine. I do direct latch most of the time, but still pump when needed. Even for myself, the amount varies so much depending on a lot of factors. It can be so depressing when the amount is low. I strongly encourage you to monitor your baby intake of milk through other ways, like frequnecy of pee/poo, weight gain, contendedness etc, rather than how much you can pump (unless you are doing exclusive pumping). Do latch on as much as you can and I practice feed-on-demand. Don't have to follow exactly 2 or 3 hourly. For these early weeks, latch on whenver baby wants to. And again, I strongly urge you to making sure your baby is latching on well if you think your have BFing issue/problem and get advise from specialist (I felt that I failed for my #1 because he didn't/never latched properly).

Today I met with Gina to pass her some things, and her mom asked if I'm "also pregnant".
When I replied that I recently gave birth, she said: "I thought you were one of Gina's pregnant friends."
I wanted to dig a hole and hide inside lah.
I think I shall hermit myself at home until I am of a socially acceptable figure. *prods fats*

think she got disturbed.. by....somthing...she will suddenly cry at the top of her lungs like someone beaten her up like that...
and mum went to buy jing fong san and gripe water for her this afternoon..
after consuming both, she actually slept from 6plus to 11plus....
we tried to wake her up for feed...she actually feed for 20min and fell asleep again..
good or bad.. i dunno.. but at least she's sleeping and not crying....
yah.. have been giving her EBM past 2 nites..so i can rest and produce more milk while she doesnt have to work so hard for her milk in the middle of the nite..
CL feeds her..and i can rest....
supply is increasing drfinitely... i pumped 180ml out from 3 pumps... some more some less...
and now is my 4th pump of the day...managed to store her nite feed for today since afternoon..
so now i'm pumping for tmr's nite feed.. hehehe...feels good to have excess to store.. kkekeke..

Bleah~ Very long never come in le! Been so damn busy. ARGH!
SO MANY HAVE POPPED!!! hahaha.. i myself left with 9days to edd! Kena strapped to CTG on thurs, and a lot of ppl asking when i taking leave -.-' my gynae didn't mention ANYTHING about taking leave, just ask my hub to walk me hahaha.. anyway bb 2.7kg @ 37weeks.
Went to Food fair @ suntec today, ate til i very full.. Left the place with bbq smell on me. Beware- Travel fair on 6th floor, so may get even crowded tmr.
Dinner @ Charcoal - St. James, hub's boss treat..yummy!!! MUAHAHAHAA ate lots of beef and shelled food. Probably the last of my major indulgence! weeeeeeeeee~~~~

Today my boy was drinking like nobody's business! I latch on and immediately later, demand more milk.. my boobs cannot keep up.. luckily I got EBM (have benn diligently pumping whenever I'm free.. hehe). Then he will pass motion soon, waste my milk sia....

after the ML shifted her uterus, she could never conceive again.....
coz the uterus hasnt contracted back...

where do we get guidelines on how much bb should be drinking huh??
for total latch on mums, u just feed till bb is satisfied huh?

congrats. difference pple have difference level of contractions pain leh... not all contractions pain are the same...
jus like menses cramp too.. at time its not really in line with your threshold, its all depend on level of contractions pains....

I tried pumping and got only max 35ml... I know Shelled said not to compare but 35ml in the bottle really look pathetic! How can I increase supply?

thats just my personal point of view lah. i hv done quite a few full months already whereas its ur first one mah so u may wanna do grand grand one? after all its a time to show off ur bundle of joy to the whole world.
my #3 had fever right after his full mth. needed to be warded, on drip etc... imagine the drip on his lil hand. now i think of it i still very heart ache. and since then i got paranoid doing big big full mth parties. i dunno where he caught the bug from but i rather play it safe n tone down my parties.
eh i not tryg to scare u hor. by all means have a big party cos its really a time to celebrate our lil ones birth!
btw, i cant find that article on vicks leh. think i hv deleted it. sorry ah. u try to google?
