yesternite start using le.. super fast... and i get to sleep early.. and this morning.. done in 15 mins.. even though not a lot of BM.. =)

mine induced oso...4 kids oso wif dr ho. bt 1st is natural...sebsequent ones are induced coz i miscarriaged 3times after my first child. and i've gt GD for the 4th...he muz has gt his reason when he wanna induced. if u really v agst induced, maybe can try to discuss wif him if it is possible to wait further??

Good to know that your boy is finally discharged! Must have been tiring for you to travel to and fro, and heartbreaking to not have him home with you.

I also want to let J to go playgroup to interact with other kids and learn stuff, but I feel going at 3yrs old is still not too late.
The ILs is also kinda jumpy that if he goes to school and ppl bully him, then he cannot talk so he won't be able to report it to the teachers and just suffer in silence. Although I think my ILs are just overreacting about being bullied lah.
I'm also concerned abt the kids falling ill often after going to CC/playgroup, which was why I changed my mind abt sending him. Last thing i want is to deal with a demanding fussy newborn and a toddler who's sick often!

My gynae didn't charge me anything extra for induction for my #1 leh.

single pump is too slow....
i need dual so that i can save time on pumping... no rest already loh....

oh...but i dun have 100ml leh...
both sides only about 80ml for a full pump without latch....
so ya loh... need to slowly build up....
haha..yah...very tiring to be waking up to run man..need alot of determination loh.....

Coz i have...and my mum and CL attributed my bb's wind in tummy to me..coz i fed her with BM thats why she got all the wind...

and it juz happened tat my gals all borned on a tuesday! even for my first one who came out naturally...my apptm wif him is usu on a tuesday.

think he only charge if we want a specific day or time...
 
hihi... no one has answer to my previous post?

my gal has been choking after around 10mins of feeding. I think my milk flow is too fast for her. Is there anything i can do to help her? cos after she choked and i break her off, she dont want to nurse anymre. But i've been feeding her more often like 1hr apart.

rach - sorry took so long to reply u. dun hv much time to log on leh. i m either latching, feeding, pumping or resting. i latch on bb 1st, after tat then pump out the remaining. but if bb is asleep n my breasts feel full, i will oso pump out 1st n latch on bb when he wakes up.

i tink my milkflow is oso too fast for my boy. my BM wets his whole hanky tat i hv to place a face towel underneath while latching on. he can drk well fm milk bottle though.
 
milkway - i hv the same prob as u. bb is like drinking very fast to keep up with the milkflow but will get choked n the milk keeps leaking out fm his mouth. sometimes after a short rest, he will suckle again but sometimes he stops suckling. i try to pump out my BM more often so bb can at least drk properly fm the milk bottle. in this way, i can oso monitor how much milk bb is actually taking. he is 1wk old nw n drks abt 50-60ml of BM during each feed at 2-3 hourly.

my gal is not choking today already... only happen ytd... mayb my flow got better? but i'm still leaking.. i tried pumping about 60ml after 10mins on one side only. then i stopped. but my EBM has gone down the sink!! cos my mum says i got a lot of milk so dont give bb non-fresh ones...

so i think i dont want to pump now.. mayb later in the 2-3rd month then i start to store lor.. if not gone to waste again.. very ke xi leh

80ml she'll finish everything....

Hi mummies,

I have a question. My gal umbilical cord had dropped. However, her umbilical cord area still bleed. Not the flowing kind. Is it normal?

yah lor.. i latch her every 3 hrs and massage b4 i latch leh.. wonder if it helps me build up supplyy? hehe

anyway ytd i pump for "fun" cos trying out the pump and steriliser..

i'm using Avent manual single. Waiting for my medela freestyle to reach my doorstep. so far ok leh i alternate each side during feed lor. So not engorge.

im also with Dr Ho. actually my EDD is 1st oct but i always come into Sept forum to read

. actually that time when waiting for my appt, overheard a mummy telling her friend over the hp that as she had blood discharge in her 1st tri, Dr Ho told her got to induce before EDD instead of waiting for natural. So sound the same situation as yours. And i realised that Dr Ho left some days of the week for C sect and induce cases, can tell as for some days there is no consultation slots for afternoon. His staff mentioned before that if want to choose dates got to pay extra. believe thats to discourage choosing of dates.
 
bb full month package> think of gettin de chocolates from my treasure box for colleagues who gave us angpow. n sweet secret cakes+angkukueh package for relatives. any comments abt those? who recommended my treasure box ah?

milkyway> keke. pump n feeding her every 3hrs can build up supply. massage i think only help get de flow. but than it makes de flow faster, so bb will drink more, so in a way it oso does promote building up of supply =p

Sneaking in to type a little here and there whilst she just fell asleep.

For updating if anyone is doing it.

My story~

Had mild contractions on the 16th. 10am. Went to the toilet and felt was worried when I still had brownish discharge for the3rd day. Went to work and told myself I would head down to the hospital at 3.30pm to check it out.

3.30pm - 5pm was strapped to CTG and found out I was only 1cm dilated with 6-9 min contraction intervals. Asked if I'd wanna be admitted but I chose to go back to work instead.

8.30pm - bought Mcdonalds and headed back home to have it and shower.

11pm - Contractions started to get stronger and so headed to TMC.

12am - Am still about 1cm - 1.5cm!!!

The contractions got stronger and stronger. Till 1 - 2am. I was already grabbing the pillow in the labour ward to control the pain.

2-3am - was asked to go to the Delivery room and await the "Moment"

3-4am - the pain was almost killing me, but I was VERY VERY tired!!! With every contraction I would tense up and I couldn't sleep. =(

4-5am - Nurse asked if I would want Epi. But I said no... I told myself no epi for me and I wante to stick by it. XD

5-6am - I was DEAD TIRED. I almost gave in to epi when the nurse said that with epi I will feel no pain and I can sleep. But when she came n with the forms and told me the doctor would take 1/2 an hr to come down to give me the Epi. I said " SHIT! 1/2 hr?! Forget it!!!" My DH was saying I can do it. A little more to go! I was already 4-5cm dilated.

6-7am - Nurses "Thought" I was abusing the Nitrous Oxide. But I was still sober enough to know I hit my fourth fingernail on the handrail and I even checked if I broke it! I was already hooking my wrists on both sides of the handrails and twisting my DH's shirt trying to fight the pain. Nurse asked me to clear my bladder and that my gynae would be arriving soon. ( My doc apparently thought I was on Epidural and so wasn't there early. XD ) I had no pee!!! And making me elevated on that urinal made me wana push even more. That's when my waterbag actually bloated out of me like a balloon. and the Midwife said, " I think anytime soon "

8am - My gynae arrived and I was asked to push.

8.13am - After 4 attempts ( 2 screaming, 2 without screaming) My Princess is out!

( I realized that my hair was a tangled mess after the ordeal.. and my DH spent 1/2 hr detangling it in the ward. XD

I was up and walking after sleeping for 3-4 hrs. with little discomfort. My stitches don't hurt. Guess that W.K Tan is really famous for her stitching from what I've heard. X3

The service in TMC was actually better than I had expected. My DH and me are contented.

hee... can bring my mini laptop there. My hb jus bought me 1 at comex IT show. Dont know my hb will say me 'siao' or not if i bring there. :p

appt supp to be 8.30am at clinic, bt we dilly dally here and there. we set off fr home late and even went for breakfast. of course i called to inform them tat i will be late. so reached the clinic at around 9.30am. then haf to be strap for the CTG before i get to c dr ho. after the scanning and insertion of pessary, haf to be strap for another hr on the CTG. admit myself at the delivery ward around 12pm n had my lunch in the delivery suite, haha..bb out around 5pm+.

I see... that means most likely mine also will come out after 3pm. Insert pessary and drip water whats the different? both also induce?
 
hey all mothers, jus came back from the gynae visit. Need your advice.

Now i am already week 38 plus.
Gynae inserted her 2 fingers &amp; found blood strain. Thus, she told me is show. Asked gynae whether i will experience more. She said yes.But is due to the fingering.Jus went toilet,now still got brown discharge.

The gynae mentioned tt if tmr onwards the show is like menses, meaning is time for labour.

now i can feel slight contractions.is getting longer. Shld i wait for the waterbag to be burst den cfm is labour?

I dun wish to over-react yet i am confused!

How? How? Time to call gynae?
 
Erm, Huishan...

It is said to be normal to have some bleeding after VE.

But if you time your contractions and it became unbearable.. I suggest you head down to the hospital. That's what I did.
And now Princess is here with me.

Thanks for the replies. Jus now was feeling so fearful! Now I am okay. so shld be still early.

Anw my gynae told me tt when we are admitted to the hospital, VE check can be quite often. I hate that manz. My gynae even comment tt the way i react to VE, i cfm need epi. ops!!! guess i over-react jus now. haahaa. she mentioned she touched the baby's head jus now.
 
hello... long time no post...

Here's posting for my wife and myself.

Marc and mommy are currently asleep. After much fanfare with contractions beginning yesterday morning, wifey finally dilated this evening and got her epidural.

Somehow... it's quite scary more so than exciting knowing that one life is so dependent on you; everything you say (or don't say),or do (or don't do)... will have its implications.

Oh well... to all parents and would-be parents, all the best of luck in raising our kids.
