shelled> of all the 5 batches i've done for Faceshop...she's the ONLY one!! And guess what??
She's an auntie...
we arranged for 2 weeks..cant find a matching time to meet...so i finally called her (usually is sms..) and asked if she goes town or something?
She replied.." No la.. i old already dun go such places..."

Then nvm.. only can meet 7pm at xxx MRT... its quite near my place la...but... i leave office at 5plus...do i sit at the MRT and wait till 7pm for her??
Then if sat she also wanna meet at the same MRT...though she said timing flexible.. but u expect me to go out take train to the MRT just to pass her that tube of BB cream??????
dun make sense ma....

Finally i found a fren who works at that MRT area...so i passed to my fren to pass to her....
End up, she got her son to meet my fren...and best..she asked my fren to go meet her son at xxx place...
My fren already very pek check with her...coz my fren knew what happened all along..even ask me what take her order...
as if i know she's like that!!!

Then my fren told her, pls ask ur son to meet me at xxx place...
hahahaha....

And when i told her initially that i'm meeting the rest at Raffles Place to pass them, she can tell me..
you asked me where is my convenient location. U never say i can only meet at Raffles Place.....
???!!!!!!?!!?!!!!!?!?!?!!??

my appetite improving actually bt nw coz of GD haf to watch my diet, xianzzz...hub was glad that im eating well nw so he let me eat whatever i want as long as im happy...even nw with GD, he also nt so strict lor...say try my best lor. I think he juz want me to enjoy and haf a happy pregnancy instead of making ownself miserable by being too strict with the diet thing. I'll try to cut down on sweet stuffs and food rich in carbo and at the same time remind myself juz 2mths+ to go lor...

juz watch the news and it reported that expecting mothers are at higher risk if catch the virus. bt didn't say what are the consequences lor...and for info, even with the flu jab, it only take effect after abt a wk or two lor...means only after a wk or two then we are being protected. AND it juz for protection and nt prevention. anyway...better than no protection at all lor. told my preggie sis to go for the jab too...

yup...haf to self-prick 7x per day before and after ea meal...bt lucky is it's juz for 2 of the days per wk. if the GD is under control when we control our diet, gd lor...otherwise nt only haf to do self-prick to check the glucose level bt haf to jab ourself daily with insulin liao...
 
preggie mummies got flu how ah?

im having flu now. sorethroat, block nose, block ear, running nose, coughing and hard to breath...but no fever..

wat shld i do?

i oso feel very warm, and duno why only during sleep my syptoms appear, so i bopianz jus wear long sleeve and wear wrist support, jus bot some salonplus stick from shoulders to arms area.

hope its works for me...

or else very painful til its disturb my sleeep several times during sleep...

oh dear.. have u been to ur gynea.. ur doc shld be able to prescribe some preggie safe cough/ sore throat/ runny nose med for u.. u shld be resting well...
i had it a lot duing my 1st tri.. nowadays my body getting more heaty.. gotta drink more water to curb the sore throat and cough..

our body temp is higher then norm.. cos we having our bb in us.. whether fever or nt.. no accurate one...
in my office.. i on a fan n blow directly at me cos the air con is not working well.. when my colleagues are at my table feel they r freezing lo, but i'm still not feeling cold enough... lol
 
flower4: do you have history of asthma? I am on Ventolin inhaler and have asked my gynae, he say its ok to use it. Think its better to consult your gynae on what you can do now. Its better than going to a clinic and having you being sent off by 993, when they see your symptoms.

oh dear.. cant imagine the uncomfy u r going thru.. i dun have those symptoms u had.. the worse i have is restless legs.. which cause me to be insomnia... =(

Best to get some proper rest. With silly people refusing to declare their travel history because they fear their kids may suffer at school, it's no wonder that our risk factor has gone up.

the flu jab is safe for preggies...that's why my gynae suggested that i haf one...

anyway, if already sick like having infectious sypmtoms like lotsa green thick phlegm, sore throat, cough etc then cannot jab lor...

dun think too much... most impt u must feel happy and relaxed.. rite? (i have childhood asthma prob too, but no need to be taking inhaler.. consider recovered now) relaxed.. so chest dun tighten and constrict ur air-ways..
feel good, look good (vice vesus) rest well, yes and get well soon! be gd gal ar and take med on time and drink plenty of water..
jia you jia you!! we have 2 more mths plus to go and can return to "normal" life :p !!.. hahahaa
do whatever u feel can help to lessen the pain in ur arms/ wrists.. as long as it safe =)

Guess many of you are in the progress of this course. How do you find it? Is it very useful? Mrs Wong's weekend class has already fully booked so am thinking to take up the weekday class in July....guess abit late for me. =p

Help! my backaches are SEVERE... They're really bad every morning, such that getting out of bed is a pain. =0( It gets better if I stretch, but I'm still stiff and the back muscles are tense. I've been wearing the Carriwell Support Band, and it seems to help a bit. Shall get a massage this weekend I think. Does anyone go for Fitball or Yoga or Pilates? Do you think it helps?

Then, as though that were not bad enough, I've got right sciatica / SI joint pain - I don't know which is which. I can't walk fast or put a lot of weight on my right leg because it'll hurt++. sigh...

Ok ok, little marc is kicking me. I think he wants lunch. Even though I had 2 breakfasts. I dunno how I'm going to lose all this weight after he comes out! Ciao babes!
 
flower - I signed up with Cordlife. I signed up even before I considered StemCord, because I got ambushed at the Baby Fair in April this year and they offered a pretty good deal for the 21y plan.

jess - I guess cord blood banking is a bit like insurance. Your baby's cord blood can be used for him/herself, for mummy and daddy, and for siblings if needed. If someone related to you has any blood-related cancer eg. leukemia. then it may be a good idea to get it. While God has His means and ways, we do what we can also right?

cutedevil - Yay! good for you and your gynae. Now your company has to fork out the cash. Disgusting people. I bet they were trying to get out of paying for it.

yea.. i know.. but hubby dun wan, even aft i tried to reason.. nth i can do =).. hope to save more $$$ by nt taking up the "insurance". but we have other insurance planned for bb. and we dun wan to be "ambushed &amp; attacked" by the cord bank pple too.
but he said when #2 comes along we can consider... haha.. men!~~

My gynae told me bb's final location will be set about 34 weeks. That means if the baby head is down, the bb will be prepared for natural birth, if bb is breech, then got to opt for c-section.

This thread is moving very fast, am not sure if anyone has any answer to my query on infant care at Seng Kang? Visit one at Blk 184 which is about $300 ++ after govt subsidy for FTM. Any comments?

The cord blood is collected, processed, tested, cryo-preserved and stored according to strict international, accreditation standards and guidelines, and is then made available to patients in need of a life saving stem cell transplant. Donation is voluntary, confidential and at no cost to the donor.

But got to register before you give birth. Hope this info helps

Jen, confirm i'm meeting cos need to get stuff n pass u stuff.. location wise, i'm ok as long as we can get seats but if compare to hereen n rice table, will prefer hereen. Bills easier to settle and own time own target..and recently i got craving for cold soba!! hahah if my flu is not getting any better, dont think i'll stay for long, may just get the stuff and go.. in case pass to any of u gals..

i read abt the donation to public cord bank.. once "u" donate it, it dun belongs to "u" anymore. eg. In times of need to find and use the cord suitable for "u/ family", there is the testing/ hosp/ med "high" cost to be paid "u/family" lo...

cord blood banking,
i donated mine to the public bank when i gave birth in 2007. i've never thought of going to a commercial bank. anyway public donation involves a face-to-face interview by a rep, and a follow up phone call after you've given birth. all to make sure that you're healthy before and after birth, so that the blood collected from you can be used. i will most prob donate to a public bank again for this pregnancy.
