I was wif WK Tan when I delivered my 1st bb 2 years ago. Indeed a very experience gynea. Stitching wise no comments. I had natural birth, and on 2nd day when all new mums attended the hospital's briefing for new mums on bathing and feeding, everyone walk like a penguine holding onto hubby... I have 2 cousins, 3 babies delivered by her - C section. If you have smooth preg like me, wait for 1.5 - 2 hr, see her 10-15 mins. If complicated case, she really take it very seriously. My cousin put on excessive weight over 2 appts, got scolding from her.

In addition, the nurses and staff in the clinic are all v systematic and professional. As there are more than one gynea in the clinic, wat should be done, where to go... they all know wat to do. That also make my visits v pleasant.

most shops that sell bras will sell the extensions. The department stores like metro, robinsons, taka, etc confirm have. Just remember what type bra you normally wear coz extensions have the 3hook, 2hook versions.

As for brushing teeth, maybe change toothpaste and see if it helps?

Re: spotting
Haven't had spotting this pregnancy, though have been having some sticky/watery discharge at times. I just put it down to not taking enuff water.
Had a bad pull at the left side of my pelvis yesterday, was stretching out to stop my #2 from rolling off the bed, then was super-worried. Nowadays, whenever i feel panties a bit wet, will get paranoid. Then last night had a horrible nightmare, dreamed about my last m/c and woke up to check. Now whenever i feel a bit ms, will be comforted that at least still have that. Really can't wait for my gynae appt tomorrow.

yah our mothers like to paint scary pictures of our child birth hor. like my mom said she nearly died giving birth to me cos lost so much blood need transfusion! ur mom's story is v funny! and all time classic! haha... but seriously speaking, i always hear women from other wards screaming while in labour leh. i hear oredy actually not scared also will become gan cheong!

yes yes i heard of stories of preg moms throw up when they smell their toothpaste. but dun worry all these will stop after first trimester. u try change toothpaste?

painless labour is possible. mine were all painless actually. if not where got courage have so many child births! dun laugh at me hor. actually i like staying in hosp after delivery haha... its like my very own 3d2n holiday, away from kids, away from husb and all the hustle and bustle at home! just me and my new beloved baby

yes, i usually ask my hub to go home, dun stay in hosp with me cos he v troublesome! nice to have own quiet time at times heh... anyway he stayed once and he hated it and he said he rather sleep at home!

rach... eh, i dunno what is the exact address of the AMK shop, it is the block next to This Fashion... the shop name starts with "C" i think. i've ever dropped one bra extension into toilet bowl... think better sew or secure it with a small safety pin
 
anyone knows if GP can prescribe medi for bloated stomach for pregnant mummy or must go to see gynae?

really feel very uncomfortable with my stomach.. cant eat, feel so bloated, cant concentrate at work too.. but I lazy to go all the way to see gynae just because of this..

but agreed with claire that feel relived to have MS but will really like to lessen the discomfort before my gynae chk up next monday

My stomach feels bloated and has a lot of wind, especially after meals. It's so uncomfortable now.

When did your MS kick in? I haven't had MS yet, a bit worried. I went to see gynae last week (4 wks + only) coz of my m/c history. Couldn't see waterbag even with a v-scan... gynae says it is still early. Gave me duphaston and ask me to go back 2 weeks later. What a long wait!

having read this thread i feel much better and comfort as what i had been through seem like quite a few mummies also been through...

this is my number 2... i also had a previous m/c as no more heartbeat detected i was devasated... it took me 3 mths to try again and was happy to get it within the one month of trying... but it was not a smooth ride went to see gynae around week4/5 couldn't see anything.. a week later saw the sac and another week saw the heartbeat .. but as i am enjoying the moment of seeing the heartbeat 2 days later i start bleeding with bright red.. though the quantity is not big yet it scare the hell out of me worried of history repeating... when come to this thread sort of make me comfort as many also got bleed and spotting...
i juz feel many mummies similar and i not along facing the same problems not to meant another thing...
This time round my MS is very bad... the only way to get rid of the bad nauses is to sleep !!! but got to face reality back at work can't sleep ...

so mummies enjoy the 9mths of progress!!
 
Hi,

I am sept mtb. Edd is 17th September. Did a Vscan last week, and saw the waterbag and heartbeat. This is my 2nd preg and it much tougher than the first. MS all day from morning till night!!!!

I had MS since last wk.. but its not bothering me that much compare to my stomach.. cant eat much.. worry that bb not growing..

Can I know what's the purpose of duphaston?

hi not sure if it will work... but it does work on me ...
try drink some gas water like coke or pepsi... with that try burping one big burp all unwanted gases would come out...
or take some ginger tea.. but i dun like this as it make my tongue even more tasteless after that...

I'll be seeing her on the 9th Feb.. seems like she is a highly recommended Gynae.. wonder if her charges are ex or not... & her appt is really long Q leh.. needed to wait 3 weeks.. But I really kiasu la...so b4 meeting her..I went to another gynae in yishun whom is also not bad to do a check up first..now i always look forward to see my beanie on the scan screen... wonder how much dou dou have grown...

tiffy, i am also seeing Dr Joycelyn Wong on 9 Feb. Ha... maybe i will bump into you. My appt is in the late afternoon. Yes, her waiting time is looonnnnggggg. That's why my hubby wants me to change gynae. I went to see Dr. Adrian Woodworth last week, it's good in the sense that you can shop around first and go in when the nurse calls you. The 2 gynaes are poles apart. haha...
 
bryest ya the 1st time i saw my BB its still a sac.. but can somehow see a small white dot flashing wor...that time I was 6wks 2days..

Freesia.. really ar! mine is 3:30pm.. heehee... mayb will hor..n I also see see look look cos been to the male gynae in yishun, he is good also.. makes me & hubby feel safe & comfortable..juz that we are hoping that @ TMC its nearer to our home.

meconium is the baby's shit. Baby passing meconium usually happens if baby is distressed or when baby is overdue already. Quite dangerous when that happens so must quickly get him out otherwise he can get serious infection.

Hope everything's alright with you. In my second pregnancy where I had my #1, I thought spotting means no hope already so was mentally prepared when I went to see gynae. Was pleasantly surprised and so happy when we saw the heartbeat.

I also find that this pregnancy is tougher than the 1st. Previously, although I had MS, I still had good appetite and I usually feel alright as long as I don't go hungry so i end up eating a lot. This time, I have no appetite. I threw up my reunion dinner before I could sleep that night.

I feel like puking when I am hungry and i also feel like puking when I am full. I can only eat little meals more often now. Really hate this yucky feeling and hope it ends soon. The last time, it lasted till abt 15-16 weeks.
 
tiffy, mine is at 4.30pm.. you don't take too long hor. If you see a girl glaring at you when you come out of the room, it may be me who got irritated sitting there waiting. hahhaha.....
 
heeheee.. Freesia..I'll also hope won't take too long lor.. needa jabut work to go gynae leh.. hahaha..Have u heard about her rates huh??cos the gynae in yishun charged $60 for consultation, $50 for scan & $41 for the folate & duphaston.. heard this kinda price is rather standard...
 
hi.. i went to see a GP today first and GP suggest i do a scan soon as well. But my gynae appt is 13 Feb... i'm seeing Dr Joycelyn Wong too, she's recommended by my friend. Seem like she is quite popular? But i think i will try to make an appointment with another gynae first just in case... and want to feel at ease too
 
I can't remember how much Dr Wong charges already... the last time i visited her was half a year ago... but i think $41 for folate & duphaston seems ex?

Btw, do you gals experience twitching at your tummy? I have been feeling twitching at the left side of my tummy these few days, especially when i sit down. Occassionally, the twitching will be at the right side... don't know if it is because of the wind?

I'm now 6wk preg. Last week, the MS was only in the evening. Now, it's from the time I wake up. I can't wait for 2nd trimester. Hopefully, the MS will go away.

milkyway... mayb u wanna hunt around for another gynae first b4 meeting Dr Joycelyn wong lo.. if u stay in the north area I would recommend Dr Chen cos honestly he makes me &amp; hubby feel comfortable &amp; safe with lor but going to him means I have to travel further .. so hoping to get to Dr wong instead.

Aiyo Freesia... half yr nia den u forget liao! hey u ladies think u'll become more forgetful when u r preggie? Cos my buddy actually forgot to wear bra to work during her pregnancy lor!

Hi mummies, i am back to work and looks like my MS is getting worst... it started from morning all the way till now......

had alittle rice for lunch but end up puking all out when i return to office, was feeling so so hungry in the afternoon, munch on biscuits n end up puking again... Sigh........ just went dinner w hubby and i only eat alittle, whenever he scoop me anything, i told him i dont want and it is frustrating him..

i duno when my puking and chest tightness will be gone but i am feeling so sick n tired... AArrrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhh.................

New MTB, thanks.. I feel itchy sometime but not smelly, i am CD41 now, thinking to see my gynae next Saturday which is CD50, not sure ok or not.
 
Hi Rach, was back teacking a little and saw ur earlier comment... yes yes, i din even tell my own mum, just want things to be stablise before i break the news out... furthermore, i am still showering my doggy, if my mum know, she wont allow me to shower him anymore.. but my concern here is, i decided not to break the news cos i worry the older folks might go around telling people before i reach the 1st tri mark

Water discharge is like u can feel abit wet(discharge) come out from ur viginal... is it normal?? transparent discharge... u ever hv the same experience?

i_m_urs, hey i tink u dun wait till mon...try to go c gynae today if possible..cos spotting of fresh blood might be a prob...ask ur gynae for an injection...

meanwhile try not to move so much and lie on ur bed as much as possible

Actually my scan is only on next week Tuesday but really very kancheong... as i totally have no ms.. just tummmy bloated , hungry and get hot easily... wonder is my bb ok inside... sigh... haven't do my 1st scan yet... ladies here... if with above.. is it consider pregnant sympton? argg... as that time doctor say my hcg level got increase but didn't increase to the ideal level so had been making me so worried for these days...arrggggg..........

ur ms quite bad hor. try taking v small meals and nothing too oily or strong tasting. if not just munch on plain crackers will help.

mama to 5J, my MS is really horrible and yesterday was indeed a terrible day for me, din manage to fall aslp till 2am and i am so tired now, just hope time will pass more quickly then i can go back home.. popped in a pill given by my gynae and manage to shallow down a slice of hotcake this morning, hopefully things will improve and get better for today.

Have u seen ur gynae? I went to see my gynae when i have red blood with my discharge. She gave me a jab and hormone pills.

My tummy feels the empty and has churning sensations but when I eat something, i feel like throwing up or i throw up.. Now I dun feel like eating at all, i rather feel the empty sensation than the nausea sensation and it is throughout the day and not jus morning lor.. sigh.. hopefully, second tri will be better. Wonder if easy preg = gal and not easy = boy??

I_am_urs > Do go see a doc asap. Try to get a good gynae too.

Don't know why my message i post yesterday missing. I was on MC, but company keep calling my phone. End up still got to settle things at home. So stupid... I pray things will improve soon. Till today, i got no news of interview yet. Maybe it's God will for me to stay till birth. Well, maybe to an extend it's good bah

Sorry I took so long to update you. Was rather tired after the appt yest &amp; din feel like sitting at the PC. This am busy catching up on work.

It's gd news! Babylet is now 2.38cm (strange hor, got 0.08 one?), and it's supposedly growing normally. So EDD is unchanged.

Doc let me hear the heartbeat yest. Sounded like a train, din sound human at all wor haha. "ger cher ger cher" type of sound. Doc said it's 178 beats/min, &amp; that is supposed to be normal too.

Water level in the sac is ok; and no blood at all *yippee*

But.. but.. Babylet is weird.. it likes to stand on its head. Even turning &amp; my laughing din managed to turn it by more than a bit. It insists on doing headstand. Very weird hor?

I guess that's the reality of things now. Co will demand more of the workers coz the economy is bad &amp; they are king now.

Just keep positive ok? There will be a way out. maybe the Plan is for u to be a tai-tai &amp; stay at home &amp; look after BB heehee.

From the above posts, it seems that easy preg=boy and not easy preg=girl. But most of my friends are the opposite, i.e. easy preg=girl and not easy preg=boy. It's pretty inconclusive. Just relax and enjoy the pregnancy lah.</blockquote>
