sad.gif

Just got it. Later shall go & try to figure out how to fix the wheels haha. I liked the lime green & orange ones too, but hubs din like. Luckily he quite likes the red, else I'll be stuck with black/grey.

jul> lol. medela bottles same as ameda? maybe i shuld get ameda bottles instead? but use my pigeon first n try =p

kam> haha. like my boy. oso very talkative. mine boy usually toks more in de morning

waiwai> haha. same as me wor. nite time i will tell him nite time loh. nobody wanna tok to u. u lie here urself. u dun sleep ur biz. mummy not going entertain him. haha. den i dun let him c me. only peep fr de top of him =p

jenifur> i oso tell hubby 1 is enugh. cos i m getting a headache from 1 of my boy. tell him anymore he go take care himself. den he look at me -_-

haha. i use 50 glass bottles, den try to give bb feeds from glass bottles. really no choice den i use milkbag. but oredi no choice many times. my milkbags oso taking up one drawer in freezer liaos. hubby's colleague oso ask me change to other brands. say lansinoh too costly. but i oredi bought 5boxes. finish those first lo =p

btw wat is considered deep freezer? how come ur bm can keep so many mths? cos i tot dey say 2mths? once dey wanna hit 2mths, i faster let my boy drink =x

Jiak lat! So it's impossible to walk by 8th month?!?!? I bet with my mum that Ian can walk by next school holidays, which he'll be 8 month old. If Ian can walk, mum will treat me to HK trip, else I'll treat her. My friends' girls all can walk pretty early so I tot it's possible but now I realised that boys develop slower.

jenifur,
since u also gg gatherin then u pass me there can?
happy.gif

Shelled,
tough, tired and messy. Luckily my sis helped me to babysit my children overnight at her place or else i dun think i can complete within 2 days. The hse still have little loose ends to complete but consider comfortable le.

bbq98,
In my own logic - I think older baby has developed a more mature digestive system and have built up a better immune system. Thus even if the milk doesn't contains the right nutrients for them, they can still grow well. But young baby needs to have the exact nutrients. Make sense? Jen may have a better and more appropriate answer to this.

Michelle,
Think babies this age likes to coo a lot. Remember to video it down. It's priceless!!!

Itsy,
Among all the Jan08 babies, all boys and girls, surprisingly it's the 2 boys who first walked, not girl :) Generally girls develop faster than boys, but each baby is, still, different. If baby can stand/cruise by 8 months, already consider very good development.

Hi Ladies,

Have not login for a very long time. Everyone seem to be doing well...

Today is the first day my boy at the infant care. I paid $300 after subsidy, so far the cheapest ard my area...Haiz gg to back to work on Thu liao...

Hi Jenifur,

Can check with you how long can i keep my frozen milk in the chiller? My frozen milk takes about 2 days to thaw and keep another 1 day to bring to the infant care. Is it ok? Will be the milk be spolit? When i taste it seem ok.

ya..another thing to check with u ladies. My boy has an undescended testicls. Is it common? realli worry cos the doc said have to operate if i's didnt come down after 1 year...
sad.gif

Kam:
my gal is the other way round, develop slower as compared to her July08 friends in terms of gross motor development... she learns walking independently only at 15-month old...

eh, i realise in my previous posts u keep saying my #1 is 15-month old... she is actually 17-month tomorrow!! fail maths :p

i suddenly feel like eating gelare waffles! but its so hot outside now, i scared i push baby out, she might get a heatstroke!

i'm pissed!

my supervisor asked me to go back office for year-end work review yesterday. she asked me got follow-up with what i did just b4 i was on maternity leave. i was like... huh? i'm still on leave leh!!! she said i could have asked the colleague who covers my duty about the outcome. i couldn't tahan and told her straight "i don't even have time to go to toilet at home!" she must think we mummies on maternity leave is very free

berrypie
my #3 has undescended right testicle. i remember his surgeon said that if it doesnt descend by 6 mths the chance of it descending is v slim. but its good to wait till 1 yr old but not too long ok. cos the testicle only grows when its in the testes not anywhere else. else u will have undergrown testicle and i cant remember what else he said lah, abt hampering the growth and if leave till adulthood will turn cancerous. mine had his operated at 18 mths old and that is considered late cos his stupid pd couldnt make up his mind whether its descended or not. one moment told me it has another moment it has not thank God i brought him for second opinion. needless to say i have boycotted his clinic!

its a day surgery and heals v fast, dun worry

waiwai
i also like melody! im so in love with her! hehe... and im so in love with puroland!

happykae
u also nt bringing baby? then maybe i shouldnt bring cos i need a break from baby leh! v tired!

Rach, Steph, milkyway> for manduca, after zip open the extension, there are total 3 press studs. you all clip the 2 studs on the baby insert to the top 2 or lower 2 studs?

mama to 6js,

Thanks for ur advice. I will wait till 10 mths later cos my GP said he has a case descended after 10 mths. Will keep him prayer nt to go for surgery if possible.

mama to 6 Js:

Jul,
Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bags (50pcs/box/ est SGD20/box.

Michelle,
if you use bottles, for example today your pump in office , next day u feed on those bottle then your 9L of FBM will be untouch right. due to you ned to use the bottle soon?

i have 4 bottles of pigeon storage bottle, the color changes real fast and wat Jul mention, marking really cant see it. so now my hubby use these bottle for feeding when thaw fbm from milkbag.. everyday i go home see those milkbag being throw away , heart pain seh. :p..

Unfortunately I haven't been to Japan before. Still waiting to cash in on my Hubs' promise to bring me there leh. But he keep making excuses say wait til kids are older so everyone can enjoy. I slowly wait lah...

Kam / itsy
Wow! Walking at 10 months old?! My #1 started cruising at 8mths, but didn't walk unassisted until 16 months old!! So he was "walking" for 8 mths, but couldn't/didn't really walk until most kids his age were already walking unaided! On the bright side, he hardly fell down once he started, probably cos he already had soooooo much practice!!

Who is Hello Kitty fan huh?!
I must find my Hello Kitty kaki also!!
lol.gif

flower4
I buy the GLAD sandwich bags. It's $3.40 for 50 from Mustafa. Other places I think about $3.90 or so la. Confirm less than $4.
But I realise cannot try to overload it to fit 16 sticks, later all will stick together and very hard to pry apart! Last time when I first started using, stupid stupid go and pack full full.
So now I store in 2 packs – 1 pack of 10 sticks + 1 pack of 13-14.

Bb start to recognise people & voices

Natalie is exactly 3mths old today. Yeah!! But she start to cry whenever my MIL brings dinner over to our place. (MIL does not come everyday)

Over the weekend when we bring her out she will wail the moment she sees or hears unfamiliar people and voice. *Faint* Cry still very cham

I'm getting abit worried cos i will be going back to work in one mth's time. MIL will be looking after her but she does not come often plus she is going overseas 2 times this mth cos she knows she will loses all freedom when Nat is in her care....

flower

u can get it from kiddy palace, taka, robinsons etc. think $30 or so for 3 bottles? quite ex but bpa free. the marking is until 150ml, but think can go till maybe 180ml? not sure exactly how much more b/c i dun hit 150ml anyway haha

i'm sooo sooo tired. sam really acted up tdy. he barely slept 45min after his bath - when usu he sleeps 1.5h. n the whole pm, he only nodded off for 15min twice, only to wake screaming. n the whole day he kept merlioning his feed. changed him 3x! plus he kept crying n refused to play in his rocker, wanting to be carried *sigh*

jul
There are other BPA-free alternatives mah. $30 for 3 bottles is akin to daylight robbery for me. I saw this Bumblebee brand at KP that day, says its BPA-free also. 8 bottles only about $30+ also. But M'sian brand lor, dunno reliable or not. :p

I think Medela bottles max 170ml lah. Cos it tends to "swell" a bit after freezing. I ever popped off a bottle cap cos put too much milk inside. After it was frozen, the cap seal popped out.

Cruising = walking by holding onto furniture, etc.

how?? is my son's flu driving him cranky? how to cure flu for bb? any medication from pd? thinking whether to take him to pd. is vick for bb useful?

water> can bb drink water?? how much can dey drink a day??

itsy> haha. y bet this kinda things =p

kam> haha. my boy is so talkative in de morning. at nite is like cranky boy. cry n cry. must drink milk like mad but he is super full, den vomit all over. now hubby give him water, he oso happy. he juz refuse de pacifier.

berrypie> how's his first day? did he cry alot?? do de pple there entertain him when he cries? my boy can be quite cranky at times. scare he cry his lungs out n no one bothers abt him. abit worried

2 days to thaw? have u tried puttin the bottle in water in de fridge to thaw? those i tried in glass bottles only take 30mins to 1hr to thaw. i haven tried those in milkbags yet though. wonder if it's de same

wat is undescended testicles? so chim

waiwai> not surprised tat pple tot pple on maternity leave very free. maybe they think it's very ez to look after a bb, plus we are tbf, more headache

mamato6js> where do i go to check if my boy have undescended testicles? cos no one said anyting abt tat. n i now bring bb to pd, no check oso

jul> got. can order online. tot i saw it at robinsons too

milkyway> haha. heng my mgr only ask me why my first 2mths of maternity leave is considered 56 days in de system. den i told her first 2mths is 8wks including sat n sun. den she nv disturb me liao =p

flower4> erms. u c ah. let's say i go office pump 3times get watever amt of milk. total one day my boy drinks at my dad hm is 500ml, cos 100ml per feed. so i juz use 5 bottles, put 100ml each n give to my dad, den de excess pumped at wk store in milkbag. than cos i have 12bottles? so i juz bring the other 6/7bottles to wk the nxt day to store more milk n de cycle repeats?

shelled> yaya. i love to put de choc n let it melt in my mouth. yummy =p

jul> at least ur boy can be pacified by carrying. for mine boy, he cant sleep, carry, hug oso no use. keep me going nuts de whole evening.

practically is cry, carry, no use, latch, merlion, smile, den cry, carry, no use, latch merlion n de cycle repeat countless times -_-"

undescended testicles - I thought your gynae scans during the last stage of your pregnancy should be able to show if his testicles have descended or not?

michelle
if ur pd no mention means everything ok la. dun worry!!

berrypie
u just review his condition every few mths lor. if got progress, ie, gettg closer to scrotum means its on its way down. where is the testicle now? my boy used to be at his abdomen, his surgeon said so high up and took so long for me to bring him do surgery!

bbq98,

my gynae din said anything leh.. only when i delivered, PD fm Mt A then informed me abt this...

mama to 6Js
Dont know where is his testicle now cos din go for scan..went to GP for his vacin at the same time checkup that's all

itsy/kam,
i think baby girls develop faster in their verbal skills, whereas baby boys are faster in their gross motor skills (including walking). my #1 started walking by 12 months old. he started speaking (those make sense type of speech) close to 18 months old.

Michelle,
ya i got then ur storage will get more & more oh...mus obverse expiry date too..

poor thing ur son got flu ah,, go pd quickly before its get worst...

my son going circumcise next week, i will have to delay his 3mth injection.

mamato6js> oo. i worry ma. first time mum. even though i olways scold him for making hell lot of noise, i still love him =p

sandwich> omg. cant wait for de day tat my mum can walk n talk. but when will he be able to tell me he wanna sleep, eat, drink, poo, pee or even play? =p

flower4> ya. storage more is ok. cos when i finally decide i wanna stop pumping or if i m sick or milk supply runs low, at least de storage can tahan him for an extra period of time =p

i olways put de nearest to expiry date one outside, so very ez to track =p

ya, he flu i oso flu. is like a nv ending loop. started with hubby, den me, den bb, den now me again -_-" when is this cycle ending. grrs. y must circumcise?

Jen,
how much isplaytex liner and per bag how many ml?

Michelle.
the accumulative will cause infection , so is better to do it early ..

oh dear...can take vit C.. i got to Zzz lioa.. so sick of going to work now....

jobs duties also change, sigh..

nitez

prinzess - For Manduca, the shop owner explained to me that it all depends on the kid... Like for my boy, cause he's fat... lol... so can just clip the top stud of the baby insert to the 2nd stud on the carrier...
happy.gif

So for smaller babies, can clip the two studs to the top 2 studs...
happy.gif

Ice Cream Buffet - Wah.. $18+++ Maybe will just order ala carte.. hahahah

flower4> work is nv fun =p but after bb driving me nuts at hm, maybe going back to wk is not so bad afterall =x

ahgoo changing mat> anyone ordering? rach, can order any design? is it good if i put it at hm on his cot for him to lie? cos now he juz lying on de dumex waterproof mat, cos i scare he poo or pee when i change his diapers. but i got a feeling tat the mat is making his back warm. so wondering if this ah goo changing mat is good.

anyone using it? can give a review? thanx
