But I won't do the test. So what if we do it? Not as if can change their strengths & weaknesses even if we know. Unless u wanna do things like purposing training them to improve their strengths & also training them to reduce the weaknesses. In the end, everything also must train?? Aiyoh dun make sense hahaha
 
my SIL (who studied early childhood before) juz told me the other nite.. for those 1-3yo.. for those who can say out the alpha..A-Z..mostly will hv difficulty with the letter J. dat's wat she said la.. but i tot like.. J sounds quite easy to pronounce leh.

anyways.. duno when for my girls la. they oni making sounds most times niah.

Only yest did Sam manage to say "S". He will go "BAR" for bus & "BRAR" for brush. Then somehow yest.. got "s" at the back liao haha

Then yest nite & tdy on the road, he kept going "bus bus bus bus.." even when there's no bus. Drove me crazy haha

Sam's also like that. Think they say the easier part of the word. Sam goes "bit bit" not rabbit.. and "nana", not Banana. he used to say "radio", but now it's only "dio" They can auto-shorten one lor haha

my boy at least got a routine. every morning after drinking water, he will poo around 8+ or 9 like that. when he wants to poo he will gek and u can see him stop and still haha..

my one can say shoe shoe and some words only. hehe.. when i go back home to fetch him about 7.30-8 liao le. sad wor..

so yours is accident?
 
jul/piggy:: yeah..my girls oso oni pronouncing the last syllabus of sm words niah.. oso "dio" for 'radio'.. "nana" for 'banana'.. "dow" for 'window'..

i find that smtimes they do try to pronounce 2 syllabuses words..but the 1st part owas softer..n more emphasis on the 2nd. like.. smtimes can hear the "winDOW".. but ya.. smtimes niah.

this phase is so cute hor..... smtimes they will juz explore n blah out words dat surprises us. but smtimes when we try to help them or like correct them... they will refuse to be corrected / or adjust.. well, at least for my stubborn girls!

hmm i wanted to start tryin after probation 1 but my HB lo he say wait like #1 ttc v long so we jus start w/o protection lo n only once nia cos i thot not so lucky 1.. n i prefer a taurus bb but who knows lol~

Agree! Day before yest, Hubs helped MIL to hang up 2 of those rabbit CNY wal decor. We mentioned it was rabbit once, then when we asked him what it is, he said "bitbit". But sometimes I tell him this is "lorry" at least 100 times liao.. he still refuses to say.

i tell u hor when i first teach my boi say bus he will go ba.... hiss.... after correcting him many many times den now he can pronouce bus sharply haha... so it takes time... for motor cycle he will say motor haha..

Funny incident

I apply something to my boy around the anus area and bird bird part. I tot he will move around but he didn. He just stay still there and let me apply while waiting for me to finish. Surprise. Sometimes do u realize their bird will stand? Haha..
I use my little finger to measure estimate how long. Haha…

When he go to doc he will also quiet and not move around wor. Haha..
He always stay still. I think he kws that one is doc. Haha..

(she look away), hold her face n turn her head towards me.. screen thru entire face.. (she turn away agn).. i asked her "ur Mattea or Keona? Keona arh?" (she ignore me).. look another 2 sec.. carry her up.. walk back to table.... declared to everyone.... i tot Mattea was with me.. duno hw cm bcm Keona..n i cant tell them apart leh!

seriously!! i can normally tell them apart quite easily la. oni when they sleep..at certain position..really look similar. but last nite, i jit tao hfta take some time to 'examine' lor!

my gal is in right brilliance. Lor 7, hsr bldg. One hr prog once weekly. $400 per term. Think can ask for trial
class. I went there coz my friend's kids who attended there was featured in a ch 8 docu, 'xiao chao ren'. Amazing lor. The things they use are very simple and a lot of fine motor skills and have to sit down type. My gal tried running for a while but think this prog helped her stay put for a longer period. They just started doing addition one table for my gal.

i shifting over to punggol soon next month.. any mummies staying there... dunnno if got any classes for him to go at punggol/sengkang side... so my inlaw can bring there.. i am sooo not familiar with these 2 places.. help help..

Potty Training
I've also started my girl on potty, but not seeing much success as I've not been consistent. Lazy to put her on the potty in the morning and in the evening. I only do it when I bathe her in the evening. Wonder how the school will train her in future.

Playgroup
I'll be switching my girl from her current infant care to another centre's playgroup also near my work place. Hopefully now that she's older and more sociable, it will be easier to adapt. Guess many here also sending your kids to play group right?

Declining TFR
So any thoughts on what gahman has been talking about the declining TFR? Good if they look into better child care subsidy, and less stressful education system. At the same time, I feel there is a lot more that companies can also do to promote family work life balance. But guess in my family, it's not too bad already. Just that have some younger single colleagues who are the ones not understanding. Wait till they have their own!

Actually cannot blame the younger colleagues also. Coz they have no children, so must cover our work when we're on maternity, urgent leave, childcare leave.. not fair to them also. If their boss is the good type, they'll reward them for performance or promotion. But if the lousy type, they just bochap & they're doing the extra work for nothing lor.

re: declining TFR
i tink they shld hv assistance in the pre-natal checkups, delivery, etc oso. hoho. we shld hv extended maternity leave..prolly like sm other countries..optional extension..but only on fractional salary (subs by gahmen..so co wun feel the pinch too)..

not really juz flash cards.. like mashy said.. they hv many many small props de.. sm like daily use toys or watever.. like.. they hv big ball, small ball.. big clips, small clips.. den bb will sort the big ball/clip into the big bowl or mummy/daddy help bb.. etc. then all these 'games' will be juz for awhile..n chg to other items, prolly counting numbers or watsoever.

i tink class size frm max 6 children oni.

but we din sign up.

im still considering kindermusik.. bahaha~ aft so long, still cldnt decide.. actually wana sign up liao le... but nw..i need $$ on some other areas..so..... ya!

As a parent, it's already quite a challenge bringing a kiddo out alone, not to mention hv a proper meal. They r not getting my $$$. Anyway, anyone knows which are the restaurants that ban kids?

My son also knocks his head la.
U kw when u said cannot and hit his hand, he will knock his head to my face or head when I carrying him.
When sitting at floor, he will knock his head to my leg.
Than when we are a bit far, he will knock his head to the floor. But he didn knock that hard cos he scared pain. But of course, sometimes the 2nd knock is more painful and he will cry. Alamak.. now better liao after hitting him. Cos he target to knock his head to us.
