Ethan says 'broom.. broom..' and make the hand action when he wans to indicate bike. For bus, he goes 'eng... eng.....'. Haha! The 2 vehicles tat he can speak clearly is car & truck. He used to know cab & tat (taxi) but now dun want to say anymore.

If I remember correctly, my GP commented tat at abt 16 mths, shd be able able speak like 5 words other than 'ma ma' & 'pa pa'.
 


zen: when the GP says, say the words, does he mean just be able to say or be able to understnad what it means when they say it?

Jul, she calls them "tek" only lor, not full word. When she says tek, we follow up with Xi..

once she was so excited she went "TEK TEK TEK!" and i just replied "Xi Xi XI!" hahha...

smurfy, the PD may suggest u send ur girl to 3hrly parent accompanied enrichment classes.. haha! then u can jul can combine efforts to find these classes and attend together. hee..
 
hehe... guess i am not alone... i think as long as they dun have any speech problem, i rather they start talking properly at a later stagee... i think xuen is growing too fast... i miss the times when she is just a tiny lil girl...

fish, woah woah, cat, bird, clothes, chair, bread, nan nan, mum mum, na na.. 20..

Ok got 20 words. Baby talk like mum mum, nan nan count hor haha

Personally, I think it's more impt that they can follow instructions & understand what we're saying

He said "mo mo mike" once.. then conveniently shortened it to "bike". Same with radio > dio.. He used to say "vacuum" but not anymore

Is it normal for them to say some words a few times, then refuse (or can't) say them anymore?

Er.. so is it 5 words or 20 words? If cannot say MAMA then how? hahaha

U funny leh.. imagine 2 of us here panicking & looking for 3h class??? Then if many of the mummies start getting influenced, the 3h centres will suddenly get a deluge of calls asking for weekend parent-accompanied classes? hahaha rally funny..

Btw u're worried abt speech probs.. I was worried abt autism. Coz a while back, Sam seemed to ignore me when I talk to him, he didn't want to have eye contact with me, seemed especially bad-tempered.. It's much better now but the old fears sometiems will creep up on me in my bad moments

Sam used to say "mum mum" then he suddenly said "Ma Ma". I was so happy, thought he was calling me! Then I realsied he shortened mum mum *bashed in the face*
 
smurfy: My #1 could barely speak in sentence until she is 2.5 years old, almost 3 years old....

Now she speaks much much better than her peers... i find her too noisy at times... hehe
I still rem she used to have the Australian accent cos too much Hi5, barney etc... hehe

the "mama" sounds she make.. she will form an "o"shape w her mouth and after saying, still leave her mouth in that position for another 1 or 2 sec.. no mum mum... wow lao, i really scared she got speech problem.

Ryan has been having poor appetite so I brought him to Yu guo
The Yi shi says poo 2 times a day is no good but I can't control that
She also says he is small n Ryan feels like toufu...unlike other babies, best example are mattea n keona, when I carry them, they feel really solid
Ask me feed him more! Went for tui na..hope can see results

my boy poo about twice a day. but doc said good leh. i one day also poo 2 times. i read article saying every 8hr poo 1 time is normal. so one day got 24hrs, so its about 3 times. but you know sleeping time how to poo.

sometimes my boy don wan eat, i show him that i have put his pieces of biscuits inside than he eat wor. this is to temp him to eat. but not every mouth have it.
 
sharon, Isaac also used to poo 2 - 3 times a day. And the TCM says its no good. But after much medication, now it has improved to once a day. I wish I could feed Isaac more as well... haiz..

Really? Poo 2x a day no good? I thought anywhere from 1x per 2 days to 2x per day is ok? Sam normally poos 2x a day too. Sometimes will poo 3x if he eats stuff like papaya or only poo-ed 1x the previous day & stored up too much haha. But normally will be once in the am after his milk, & again after lunch or pm milk.

yes now prices all above $1K psf so have to wait and monitor but just to share... hundren trees launched price were more than $800-900psf so even if drop price will be ard there too.

My fren bought a 1 room studio during launch cost her $550K!

hi(hi-5), bar(barney), pad(ipad), hone(phone), pong(bathe), roar, bun(bumbum).... but i tink alot of times, these words come rather randomly de!

I think my boy oso can't speak much. His fav words other than car is bear. Can't stand him .. every time when i'm doing chores in the kitchen, he will come and chant 'bear! Bear bear! Bear bear bear bear!' He wants the gummy bear.

The rest are papa, coco (coalie), ball, clock, ku4 (pants), trey (train), bao bao (carry), mum mum. Oh ya,.he oso refused to call me.
