Morning mummies!
I made enquires with the kindergarten and they said their nursery class starts from 4yr old. So since it's still some years ahead, i asked when is the right time to submit registration considering ovann is only 16 mths now. They replied to say i can submit the waiting list form now.
I was like .. huh? So early? It's at least 3 years later leh. Dunno if i shld submit now or wait till maybe 1 or 2 yrs later? Cos if submit now, dunno if my form will get 'misplaced' or their system conk out or even change management that somehow they dun hv the records anymore ... aiyoh... or is it i worry too much and shld just submit?

pegsfur, I think you need to pay booking fee for the registration. But 3 yrs leh, what if the school close down? I book my girl's school when she is one yr old, after seeing the Shichida KG close down, I very worried. Once every week, I've to drive pass the school to see if it's still open.

Our kids can go pre nursery next year. So u need to reg them this yr if u intend to send them. Better call and find out as reg can be anytime now till June. Also check if they accept your kid since our kids born in jul/aug. Some must be strictly 2.5yrs in Jan.
pegsfur, just submit to be in the waiting list? Meaning not securing a place. Hmm... Very risky leh. When I booked my girl's class for 18mth when she was 12mth old, the principal only asked me to pay $200. I already very worried cos other schools will straight away collect one month school fee and deposit. Guess you can submit the form to be in the waiting list but also look for alternatives.

hi all, any good pre-schools or those 2-3hr type of classes for sengkang area? don't seem to see those, mostly half day or full day child care le...
oh...what's the issue abt being able to cope with P1? e.g Montessori style ? then which type of schools teach the relevant syllabus? sorry i have no clue there is a difference, thought all this schools should teach the similar requirements for P1? how about those NTUC ones? what's the name?

the current term already into the 5th lesson this sun le.. so if prorate off the 4 lessons... i need to pay abt $330 (for balance of 11 lessons) for Our Time prog.. so.. *ouch* $330+$330+($89+gst)=$755.23!!
but.. it's juz nice.. teacher Shauna's class is still avail.. n this term will finish on 3rd apr.. n the girls will start playgroup on 4th apr.
oh no.. it's really very 'tight'.. $760... but.... hw arh!?! haiz.

my fren, who's son is juz wat less than 2mths old nw.... oso juz posted on FB last week.. she juz joined the rank of a KS-parent.. LOL~ she put her son on waitlist le! i tink for pre-sch or wat!

ya lo cos i tink the class we go is meant for 8-18mths... but hor the teacher ther v funnie she told me Kyler maybe a gifted child but i was like huh??? all he did is read out the number paste on the wall n able to identify many animals... so easily she can tell?? i thot many toddler ard his age can do the same thing??? but i jus listen nia la hahah...

piggy, agree kyler is fast learner the moment teacher said bubble he can pronounce bubble vy clearly. btw the teachers on tat day i thk teacher moon still ok the other CMI le.

piggy, dun thk so else will be vy tiring for jovia since she's gng to full day cc in mar so wkend thinking to let her hv free play at home. i also lazy to bring her to classes..bad mami
but piggy.. frm the way u describe kyler.. i tink he is one smart one oso. hehe.. frm his 'peh kee' frm so long ago.. den all the words he picked up.. him taking on instructions n all. hehe.

actually i feel tt toddler at their age learn fast but maybe in diff area for Kyler i can only say he pick up words fast n follow my instruction ... but other area i dare not say the same thing.. like i saw Shayna can be a flower gal n walk down the aisle but i am sure Kyler will jus walk away den guai guai walk straight lol~ n till now my toilet training still fail lol~~~

Piggy, teacher moon is younger malay lady..the older auntie abit cannot make it..moutbatten is much more spacious. for novena 8 students together wif parents in the classroom seems to be vy packed.
I been to trial in moutbatten i feel more organise & less chaotic prolly becos the teachers bah.

no wor she is an INdian quite friendly got patient but from wat i see she is assisting the other teacher nia like not v well trained...i din join in the class so not v sure but sumhow i find this class not suitable for Kyler cos he alr know most of the alphabet n animals so when the teacher start on the alphabet he start to walk ard...

Going to Playgroup
The PD asked me whether Sam was in a playgroup. I told him no, & he told me not to Sam into a playgroup. He said to bring him to those 3-h 'enrichment' classes with the parent sitting in to let him 'socialise'.
Gosh! He must be really 'anti-social' for the PD to say that. Or was it bcoz he staretd bawling the moment we were at the PD's doorway. He was happily playing & running & making a nuisance of himself till we neared the door. Then he bawled non-stop & kept crying to go out of the room & nothing worked.
This PD is very 'bochap' & take it easy. If he says that Sam needs to attend a 'class', I guess he really shd? The firs thing I thought was.. "Autism"??? Hiaz
Anyone got list of classes that I can check out?
Want those 3-h or so type where he can sit, run, play with frens etc.
