so can only compare these 2 school,
teachers are abt the same, enviroment is better then usa.
PUBLIC HOLIDAY: is also consider a holiday to them, no make up class no credit also

BABY FIRST TV from mio: if u have iphone, u can download is exactly the same.
Babytv, cant comment i did not sub to it.

Strange, mine gal health booklet stated 15mth for the next jab..

In preparation for the trip I started to bathe her using the shower head. So far so good although she sometimes still complains when I wash her hair.

Need help for regular night wakings
Sophie has been waking up in the night usually 2,3 times. She used to sleep through the night till the next morn between 7-8am. For the past 3 weeks she'll wake up without fail and insists that I breastfeed her, otherwise she will scream and cry non-stop. At first I thought it was teething but my question is, isn't 3 weeks a little too long? I wouldn't think it's hunger as she has dinner around 7:30-8, and has 180ml of milk at 9-9:30. Am desperate for her to sleep through again! Torn between just continuing to BF her or just let her cry it out esp if shes really waking due to teething. Help help!!

Wah I din breastfeed, so can't there. But how abt getting ur Hubs to attend to Sophie during the night wakings? Maybe if she doesn't smell u, she won't wanna drink? Just a thot..

I'm so happy that Sam has grown taller too. He really has short legs & he's not tall. So I'm quite glad to see that this pair of pants which used to be sweeping the floor has shrunk to his ankles haha

actually jus fill the bath tub with water n put ur gal in?? tt wat i did but occassionally i do use shower head on my boi when we at home n he find it fun...

I worry bcoz MIL & SIL are both short. Hubs is slightly shorter than his dad, which is weird coz normally our generation always surpass the parents. And Sam looks like Hubs who loks like MIL.. = short???? hahaha

now that you've mentioned abt the hotel 'not cleaned', it got me thinking. maybe it's true leh. cos my boy very sensitive towards all these one. the room he's ok with it, but he refused to go into the toilet. but we forced him to go in to bathe. so maybe the toilet is really not cleaned. my hb told his colleague abt wat happened to ethan. he also said maybe toilet not cleaned. cos ethan fell sick after that. but i dunno if ethan fell sick becos of the weather or becos of tat.

i wanted to bring ethan's medicine. i even brought our adult's medication & ethan's ruyi oil, teething tablets (then read abt the hylands & din bring), teething gel & even syringe. his medicine we kept in the fridge so it's the last thing i'll put in luggage. then before we left, i asked my hb whether need to bring, he said dun need. won't fall sick cos ethan hardly falls sick. argh!!!! stupid me! shouldn't have listened to him!

it was so difficult to find a clinic in japan! heng managed to buy medicine at pharmacy. & stupid me din bring thermometer! & stupid me din think of asking the hotel for it till the next day nite when i felt really helpless! i was so angry & upset with myself then! wat a mother i am.

Ethan's appetite was also very good in Japan. He ate what we ate. And he even pointed to us the crepe shop which we din even notice. I should hv fed him his cereals first before letting him eat other things so that he won't lose so much weight.

He also started saying quite a few words in Japan which caught us by surprise. He started saying 'car' in chinese, pour, cut, milk, truck (he used to pronounce as track, start, mum mum (when he's hungry & wans to wat), puff, & finally call me 'ma ma'.

I love Japan. I told my hb that I don't mind going back every year instead of other places. Haha! Now already start planning to go again in 1-2years time. Going to bring Ethan to Disneyland next. Hb & I still prefer Disneyland to Disneysea. Find that Disneysea is more for adults & we din get to sit in those thrilling rides tis time round cos wif Ethan so felt a bit wasted.

Did you gals see the new character Mickey's Bear, Duffy? Saw many people buy & we're tempted to get 1 for Ethan. But the only one he likes cost 50,000 yen! too ex for us. The rest of the things he also dun like.

oh den maybe really not cleaned cos children v sensitive to all this 1.. i alr tell myself if Kyler cry the moment we step in means mus change room heng everything ok.. everymorning i will feed him cereal be4 we went out den i will bring along bott food incase he dun like...
dun blame urself la sumtime when things happen we will be too ganchong to tink properly... i also left the mag mag at home heng he willing to drink from any straw if not headache:p
now kyler favourite word is plane lol~~
hmm yes Disney sea more for adult so i prefer sea :p

Cos he hv been calling my hb 'dad dad'- he dunno how to call daddy, call my dad 'pa', my mum 'ma' but refuse to call me. then my hb asked him in the lift who am I, he said ma ma in chinese. (dunno how to call mummy) & turned away shyly. when we came back, he started calling me more. we're surprised that he started speaking 1 or 2 chinese words & sounds pretty accutrate cos we spoke mostly English to him.

we love our hotel! very convenient & spacious. our 2 twin bed is big! 2 adults can sleep on 1.

ya, i also told myself must change room if ethan cries once we step in cos usually he's v senstitive. but he din & enjoy the room. but it din occur to me that toilet may be dirty. cos he usually dun like to bathe in hotel toilets.

nowaday the children learn v fast.. tt day i only point with my finger 2 n say 2 now he can point back n tell me 2.. n now he really learn alot of words v fast... know how to point to his nose n say nose n ear...

I saw yr hotel from the map at Shinjuku Station. Thot that your hotel is even nearer compared to mine. But Shinjuku has everything. & I'm happy that we stayed in that area.

Aiyoh the Learning Vision I'm looking at is also $1000 before subsidy. Half day is $800. But after subsidy, it's only $50 more for full day. So bohua to take half day hor?

I'm quite irritated with leaving Sam with MIL & maid after less than 2 weeks. No routine. MIL ignores my suggstions or instructions. Contradicts the instructions that I agev to the maid. Then when I ask her abt Sam's day, she will say she cannot remember what time he napped, or ate, & will look unhappy as if I'm interrogating her. And Sam has been saying "car car" to everything coz the maid thinks he likes cars & keeps repeating the word the him. HIAZ...

hmm usu when i teach Kyler i will point to the specific object n tell him the name of the object so now he know wat is car, train,mickey etc... tink u mus tell the maid la..
 
zen: thats sweet... i still waiting and waiting and waiting for shayna to call mama or papa or any other distinctive word. NOw when we ask her to say mama or papa she will say her gibberish. (but her gibberish is consistent one.)

like the aunty at the store downstairs, u ask her to call she will call "ah!".. call grandma "ah mamamama.." call mummy "ah!!!! ma!!!*(&$(@&*(%@#" where? "&*(&%*(#" but sounds like where..

she must be the slowest here to talk and walk..

That's one of the reasons why I wanna send Sam to CC even tho I'm worried abt the sickness & trauma part.

Coz he's not easy to teach. He gets distratced very easily, or just ignores u altogether. I think spending all day with my MIL & maid is NOT good. He'll pick up gibberish & poor eyesight!

I told my maid liao. But u know ah.. MIL aws contradicts my instructions one lor

Dun just look at walking & talking lah. My Sam may walk very early & seems like he can say words like car, mum mum, ball & gai gai. But he's not consistent. Now, he sees cat, dog, bird, everything also is car car.

Ovann oso cannot talk very well .. he's now all talking in his baby langauage. It sounds like a sentence or question but can't make out what he's saying. The only things he can say correctly are car-car, gou-gou (dog), papa and he's now learning kai (open in mandarin). Oh yes, and his favourite mum-mum-ma for food.

hmm actually i read an article tt say walkin too early no gd wor esp kid who dun even crawl go straight to walkin hor have difficulties concentrating leh.. but of cos we cant control la...
me too dun like him to spent too much time with my MIL cos no doubt she took gd care of him but discipline not so much... n my #2 comin soon dun tink they can handle 2 toddler n 1 baby...

Erm.. I rem Ovann got quite long legs leh. Until now, Sam has difficulty sucking his toes coz he simply cannot reach them. Prob a combi of his short legs & very big tummy. Wahaha gone case liao! Short AND fat! haha

Oh Sam also still gog "tiko tiko tiko... ", eee, oohhh.. ahh...

I'm fine with this except that I hate it when he whines. He's very very very whiney leh

Ovann oso has been whiney lately, and starting to throw tantrum. I find that he's abit 吃软不吃硬, most of the time must talk to him nicely then he will stop. There are times when he won't listen and stubbornly continues, i yelled at him to stop his nonsense then he will stop, and look at me with his very 委屈 kind of look.

Oh ok, we'll see how when nearer the date to book

Yeah lah, no choice abt when out BBs wanna start walking. I'm not very concerned abt walking.. but I'm worried that Sam has NO attention span & is very violent. P.S. Sam did crawl for abt 3-4 months before walking lah.

Yup, agree with u. MIL aws say we shd discipline Sam but she goes ahead & teaches him things like hitting the balls with his club then she complains that he likes to use the club to hit people

Oh Sam was saying "lige lige lige" for a time too! Maybe it means something?????

My Sam also behaves worse when I'm fierce. But when I am soft, he doesn't behave either. Now I can empathise with parents whose kids misbehave in public. I was guilty of casting disapproving comments then, but now I'm one of them!

Dont blame yourself. U wont know this will happen. With this incident, next round going for holiday u will know what to prepare.... Normally kid will call pa pa, ma ma instead of daddy and mummy. Cos easier to call. My gal also start calling us ma ma and pa pa. Than now she learn for her sis to call mummy and daddy...

At this age, kids learn v fast 1... My gal can speak quite a number of words now like bird, fish, cat, dog, bark, car, bus, nia nia, jie jie, boy boy, di di etc...

The hotel is convenient hor.. If I will to go again, will sure stay there...

Haha .. Serious? Quite funny that they say the same thing!

Talking abt discipline, i'm also having problems trying to stop ovann from throwing things, esp at my dog. He likes to throw stuff at my poor dog who wld scamper away for her life. Light weighted stuff still ok, but wat if he manage to throw something heavy at coalie? I wldn't want that to happen. Have been telling him sternly 'no throw throw' whenever i catch him about to do it. But seems like doesn't work leh.

He has also a few times attempted to step on my dog to get up to the bed or sofa ... he probably thinks he cld use her as a stepping object to gain height in order to climb up. He hasn't been successful though, cos the moment he rest his feet on her body, he received a nasty snarl from coalie

Hiaz.. Sam has been throwing things at people for months! And he likes to beat pple too. Even last weekend, when my aunt who rarely sees him told me she noticed that he frequently raises his hand, like wanting to beat someone. Then another uncle commented that he is quite bad-tempered.

my boi will sumtime attack my SIL gal n throw thing but i will punish him n he seem to understd dun dare to do tt so freq.. he dun like being "lock" in his playpen when he is awake n wan to play so when he did sumting wrong i will tell him 1 more time u will go in.. n he will shake head n say no... so i tink we need to start disciplining them now?
 
BabyS, i also not sure but she say eber eber all the time really duno wat she means..if she saw food or pacifier she will says mum mum & tu tu.

She likes to called daddy...seldom call mama or mami. Now she will claps her hand & say bao bao if she wan to be carry.

BabyS, did u let shayna watch those DVDs? i let jovia watch Your baby can read & elmo...recently she will try to follow wat they say. I thk will help them in speech.

There was a period that I was so worried that my boy dunno how to walk cos he was doing his spiderman crawl (crawl without his knees touching the floor) for the longest time. He started doing tat quite early, so thot he can walk at abt 10mths. who knows he still refused to walk till a week or 2 ago!
 
I think our kids are at a very cute age now. HB & I are always amazed when Ethan speaks a new word. Sometimes he doesn't speak out the word but he'll sign or do some actions to communicate with us. Eg, he'll touch his heart or chest to show 'love'. v cute.

yes i agree now is the cutest stage:x my boi will go ard dance n dance n he know how to use the word where to ask us where is his toy.. tink they learn most at this stage too where their brain is like a sponge..

My son still not walking leh.
haiz..that time 1x walk over 10steps than after that 1 day 2/3 steps. don want to walk. i think he don feel confident yet. or simply too lazy..

can't talk also. im worried. but when we ask him questions he knows how to shake his head or .. haha.

Zen, which hotel u stay alr? i din knw my hotel including breakfast quite worth it ard $170 per night for twin room. saw many Sporean, Hongkee there.

less than 5mins walk from station. we used the lift from Parco when we take narita express so we dun need to climb stairs wif our luggage.
