Goat Farm Trip
Brought my girl to the Goat Farm last Sat. It's just a less than 30min tour including buying the goat milk. They close at 4pm so anyone planning to go please plan an early trip. There is a bus stop just outside the farm so many parents brought their kids by bus. My girl likes the goat milk. It's $10 for 5 200ml bottles pack in a small ice box. I can use the ice box to store raw meat when I go Bintan heehee. I didnt know my empty house is only 20min drive to the farm. Will go there more often to buy goat milk and vegetables. If you are planning to go, do also drop by the Bollywood farm. Need to pay $2. Kids and helpers are free. Inside the farm you will see different type of plants like ginger, lady finger, fig, banana, egg plant, ... I find it very interesting for primary school science projects. There are also vegetable farms around the area where you can buy fresh vegetables.

ha afternoon liao

time really flies when there's 2 kids, salutes SAHM with 2 kids - it's double the trouble and double the fun.

now they are partners in crime, with one egging the other 'to try it' :p

btw mummies, qian hu fish farm is a nice place to go - stroller friendly, no mosquitoes, paved roads, easy parking and best of all free! the sting rays are amazing. Extras: longkang fishing is $5 per net that comes with a small plastic aquarium box. koi feeding is $1 per pack.

the older kid likes the longkang fishing and zac loves feeding the koi.

BB:: hehe.. we brought our girls to some of the fish farm n a fren's farm ard sungei tengah ystrday mrng. went few farms...but before our planned goat farm visit, the girls were tired le, n hb rushing to go his parents' plc for lunch. -.-" will b doing the goat farm the next holiday or this wkn. hehe..wld prolly drop by the bollywood farm too since we already covered alot of the other farms liao le. lala~ thnx for recommending. :)

hi joeey
yes, you can bring directly to Goldhill centre but not all the time there will be staff there as they get called out on cases on ad hoc basis, so it's quite hard to pre-arrnage drop off there.

Or you can also drop the stuff by my place.

joeey,
the bollywood farm is own by ivy singh and her chinese husband who is ex ntuc ceo, she's a feisty lady, been reading about her in the papers.

hmm anyone knows if the food is pricey and whether got suitable food for children? may drop by this coming weekend.

Babymaking,

Bollywood Farm,
Hmm... not many ppl eat in the restaurant so I dare not try. Do feedback if the food is nice ya? I smell lot of chilly stuff in the restaurant, some curry, sambal, ... I saw some ang mos visiting it and seemed to enjoy the farm walk. You have to pay at the restaurant to enter the farm. We visited the place cos of the court case the woman owner had heehee... it's a coincident to pass by it and we reversed our car to enter. Qian Hu is also very near my place so will drop by only if my family stay there for few nights.

Jul,
Jurong bird Park carpark is not sheltered and have to pay.

jul, BB,
the other time my hubby exit the jurong birdpark carpark from the back, no need to pay, the gantry was not set up yet, got loophole :p

Jul its pay per entry so not ex. I followed my #1 to his school trip in Aug. Ard $2 - $3 bah can't remember the exact price

donkeymami

You're back! How was ur trip?

I didn't get your sms, but I guess i's abt my sunblock? You managed to get for me?

BBnGG

Thanks! Oh a few dollars per entry is not ex. I thought it's $2/h sort of rate! Then there's no point parking further away & taking alternative transport.

Hollywood veg farm restaurant

Got spicy food like curry and sambal kang kong. The food not salty so I think healthy? Price wise I think one dish abt $6-8 kind but portion not big. I personally find the food so so only as I prefer unhealthy food. Haha...

Kids can order fish and chips or nuggets. No noodle soup kind. And that restaurant no high chair!

hi ladies!

i'm back also. this trip was super challenging for us. we din get to shop & eat at nice places.

Ethan was very well-behaved on board the plane. But he fell sick on Sunday night. Had high fever & we din bring his medication. From monday onwards, he'll get up in the middle of the remaining nights at 12+ & 4+, crying & wanting to get out of the hotel. we've to change & walk in the streets. think he's home-sick after he fell sick.
sad.gif

he also dun like shopping & dining in. the onli shops he's willing to enter is LV & watch shop and we've to buy back hotel to eat. sigh.... i think this trip we ate krispy kreme, yoshinoya & mac donalds the most.
sad.gif
oh, the mac pork is very nice! hehe!

Ethan lost 500g after this trip. My parents so heart-ache when they saw him so skinny. Now I feel so bad about myself. I din feed him cereals during the trip. Only fed him twice. The rest of the days, he was eating same food as us plus yoghurt or fresh milk.
sad.gif

Ethan also seems to have nightmares after he came back. His timing also screw-up. He'll wake up in the middle of the night at 12+ to eat & watch barney. Then at 4+, he'll cry wanting to get out of the house. I think he thought that he's still in Japan. And he's also terrified to bathe now.

Thinking back, I wonder if we did the right thing to bring him to Japan. Think we should hv planned for a shorter trip. Cos the first few days, he was still doing fine.
