NAPS

Well sam has aws slept a lotlesser thanmost of the babies. But he norm naps about 2 hours at mil's n 2-3h with me. But he needs to divide up into 2 naps else he'll be unmanageable at lunch n dinner time coz he's tired
 


Uh oh.. Think the in laws may be coming up for 'inspection' tdy!

Oh well.. Cross the bridge larer. Gotta go cook porridge n figure out how to go out for shopping tdy!

Ovann's usual nap time is 11+ and 4+ in the afternoon, each lasting abt an hour. Nowadays he's dragging it to 12 and sometimes 12+, and the afternoon nap will drag till 5. If he sleeps long enough for the 12pm nap, sometimes he will go without the 5pm nap. The only good thing is that he will conked out early lah, bedtime will be at 9+ instead of the usual 10+ or 11+. But i'll be the one like a zombie cos i feel so sleepy & tired w/o a short nap!

My boy takes 1-2 hours nap in the afternoon depending on wat time he wakes up in the morning.
 
Need some advise...
For mummies still BF-ing....ive already got my menses back in Jul and its reporting on time since then, however this month its been late for a week liao...
Is it normal for it to be irregular ? I was pretty regular b4 giving birth de..
Dont think its possible for me to be preg as we didnt really try...hmmm....
My supply usually dipped a couple of days before and 1st 2 days of menses, but now its still maintaining its volume...
Wonder wats gg on...
And Im due for my pap smear tml, should be ok to go ?

Oh sam's nap is also 11 then 4. And yes, he's been trying to drag. But if i dun force him to nap at 11, he'll nap from 12 too. Then around 6-7, he'll be super cranky. If i let him nap, night sleep time will be affected. If not, he'll just go crazy from tiredness! In fact, he hasn't napped tdy. Dunno what to do now!

Btw he sleeps at 930 at nite n wakes at 630! I lagi tired lor haha

Oh haha coz they popped over yest n saw my fridge was empty. This am asked if i was getting helper to cook lunch. So i figured they'll turn up. I was right!

Came over with chicken, veg, bread

pegsfur, isaac is still taking 2 naps a day. But he is not very keen on morning nap... and only sleeps ard 40mins. Afternoon nap is ard 2hrs. So I think he will drop his morning one in a few months time.

Dolce, why not do a pregnancy test!

agree with mich, go do preg test...

even if u "didn't" really try but once u bd w/o "rain coat"...high chance that u will get preggy too....

for pap smear...,
pls do the test b4 going for ur pap smear...
no sure if pap smear will result in m/c if u really preggy lor...

i do know some gynae will ask their patient who r preg to do papsmear so i tink it safe... if u worried no harm jus test at least u can rule out being preg...

I dunno if I will even pass by a pharmacy. Hahaha. Coz I'm mostly in tohoku visiting farms and waterfall. The time I'm in Tokyo will be spent in Disneyland and odaiba. Too bad I'm not staying in ikebukuro coz I know that place got a no of pharmacies. Maybe donkeymani or zen?

Dolce: since my menses return its more unpredictable than b4 pregnancy. And flow slightly heavier and more occasions of back aches..

just do a preg test lor... u say u never really try, but u still 'tried' lor.. haha..

jul: ur MIL is quite nice in a way, she worried u no food (or worried u no cook good food for her son.. hee) but i know how it can feel when ILs come over often..

the book u bought for zac, where did u buy it from? I also keen to start reading chinese books to shayna too but i need the han yu pin yin.. i think my chinese will improve too after i read to her. hhaha

I just starting reading 弟子规to my gal. Surprisingly, when I start to recite it now, she knows it's from that book and flip it. Thought it's a good book to teach her on how to behave. Hahaha. I didn't understand a thing from the book too but they had simple explanations so quite ok.

donkeymami i read that most mummies expeience lghter flow or milder symptoms after delivery.. how come we experience the opposite hor.. and i know of more pple who experience this too..

Oh there're pharmacies everywhere! Ikebukuro.. U near sunshine city or hotel or something? I think if u step out from the subway there're big pharmacies all over. But their pharmacy = our watsons or guardian. Can buy a lot of cosmetics, toiletries, skincare etc. First time i went i siao bot many bottles of shiseido shampoo n conditioner. Then second time with in laws, did less shopping. Just bot sunblock n sunscreen/makeup remover.

Actually i did the test this morning and its showing negative(i still hv the preg test strips leftover from before)...hahhahaha..so should be safe to do pap smear tml ?
My menses is of slightly lighter flow and end a day earlier compared to b4...
But just wondering how come its still not here yet...go toilet keep checking..hahaha

oh i went to tohoku to try ti catch the sakura when i was 5 mth preggie. But i was a few days too early! Not in full bloom yet

MENSES

hmm guess i'm one of those with lighter flow n virtually no cramps after giving birth. Used to have heavy flow n bad cramps before

But 2nd time i had my menses, my pelvis was sooooo sore! Worse thsn 3rd tri waiting for labour! But 3rd time, it improved. I'm praying the new improved menses will continue
 
TIGER FLASK / PORRIDGE FLASK

Any recomendations for a small porridge pot? I norm cook 2 meals at one go but find that brining 2 large flasks is so heavy! Our tiger flask is 0.7L? Will be good to get a 0.4 or0.5L size type?

jul: mine is those with 3 compartments. then each compartment stores one portion of food (only 2 is used)

japanese brand. quite good. By dinner time the dinner portion is still warm. still needs to be cooled down a bit b4 can give shayna.

how is tohoku? Which part did u go? Is it a forsaken place like how they portray in so many tourist guides? I hope I'm not too late to catch the autumn leaves there. Kind of concerned that I'll be there to see bare trees. Hahaha.
 
Im also keen to get Tiger lunchbox as is already starting Nat with soft rice with veg n soup...
Now still using the porridge jar which serves me very very well =)

mine is the 0.7l tiger jar. I find it's big enough for 2 meals. But u need to scoop out the portion u need for 1st meal and close it quickly else the heat is lost.
 
mich: but how long does this heavier flow last?

dolce: tiger lunch box? oo.. sounds interesting.. but dont think my husband will allow me to get, esp since we're giving shayna our food liao, dont specially cook food for her now sometimes when we're out..
 
babyS, mine never went away... my flow before pregnancy was always not too heavy as in constant for first 3 days. But after giving birth, it would be super heavy for day 1 and 2, before tailing off.

I have the zojirushi one with 3 compartments. But i find that it's hard to keep hot coz i use the top n middle cpt. Then when i'm feeding sam from the top cpt, the jar can't be closed so the heat escapes. Not sure if u know what i mean?

just that sam needs a bit more than what the tiger flask can keep. Very sian, not here not there. End up carrying 2 flasks half empty

I only went to kakunodate lor. Stayed at a minshuku n had very good meals there. The pple were nice n frenly n simple. Not as rushed n 'closed' as in the big cities. But sure no huge shopping centres unless u r gog to aomari. I only went thru aomori on the shinkansen, so dunno the place. But japan is never ulu i find haha. Tohku is a nice change from the crazy shopping n pachinko halls lah
 
TIGER SALE AT TAKA

Anyone interestedin buying the porridge pots or lunch bags etc n dun need the 0.35L hot water flask? I want oneso that icanbring less water out if i'm only gog outfir short periods

I'm just 'stopping over' at aomori to get to their apple farm. Dun think will shop around there bah. Maybe eat dinner or go back hachinohe to eat. Will depend on how many apples we pick at the farm. Hahaha.

Oh picking apples! Sounds fun! If i have the ciurage, i'll pack sam off to hokaido n taste the harvest produce at the source!
 
Nat has been having diaharroe since 2 days back but it got abit better and we are monitoring...my mum just called me and said the diaharroe is back.
Gona bring her to see doc..wonder if its due to new teeth spruting again or ???
Cant think of what else would cause that...

how bad is the diarrhoea?

Denson just recovered from a 4-day diarrhoea episode. he practically LS after every meal.. we brot him to KKH A&E after the first 24hr.. PD could only give this "good" bacteria powder to mix in his milk n try to get rid of the bad bacteria... didnt put him on soy milk.. just like tat, n he recovered finally!!
 
jul: yeah mine is that brand too..

i use the middle and bottom one, so top one can be free to close the container and retain heat..

any reason why u use the top one?

For mine, the smallest can take about more than 1 rice bowl of porridge... if sam takes more that that then maybe u split that portion between the smallest container and some in the top container.

Feed Sam from the small container first. then u want the 2nd portion, scoop the porridge out from top container into smaller container, the use top container to cover the flask again..

I use the top cpt coz the bottom one is too small. Hmm i think we shd have the same std sizes. Let me give it a try then

What kind of diarrhoea? Watery stools like teething type or really laosai type? Has she been eating anything she may be allergic to? Anyone in the family has stomach flu?0
