It's strange cos black out only abt 3/4 of our block. Those flats at the right side of our block din kena. Haha .. like u i also feel excited
But really can't stand the hot weather. Luckily the electricity came back just before ovann goes to sleep

Piggy, mayb we do the costing i thk tat time they mentioned to keep $40 or $50 per parent right?
$12 (T-shirt) + $4.50 (cupcakes wif individual packaging) + $24 (assuming $12 per pax)= $40.50 estimated cost per parent
Is tat ok for everyone? of cos this is rough idea..actual cost will be +/-

celine, the timing we still cannot fix at this moment cos we need to wait for regg she will try to book 2 sessions (according to mgmt is subject to availability). Booking can oli do 1mth before the event so by 4 Aug then we will know the timing for the bash is tat ok for u?

morning all, i'm juz back from my xray scan. de scan looks clear to me. doc suspect i got lung infection. cos keep fever, n flu n cough. so send me for xray. 3days mc since yesterday =p
pegsfur> haha. we will go drive ard singapore in de car. haha. den got aircon ma. my boy used to aircon la. cos his daddy oso scared hot ma. nv go under de sun. everywhere we go is aircon n aircon. dat time first time bring him walk in non aircon area. wah. he so amazed at the trees n de plants. faint =p

My #1 is back to school this week, still on inhaler 3 times a day, going to withdraw him from school, hopefully soon. These few days been busy looking for maids, calling, interviewing. Those new maids keep saying Yes maam Yes maam, when i ask them to explain how to make milk, they can't describe. Those experience maids wants $400 with 2 off days. Hiaz, still looking for 1 maid whom i can *fall in love at first sight*.

Easy Fondant Icing Recipe
Ingredients
•2 pounds of confectioner's sugar
•1 tbsp. unflavored gelatin
•1 tbsp. cornstarch
•¼ cup cold water
•1½ tbsp. glycerin
•½ cup glucose or white corn syrup
•1 tsp. desired flavoring
Preparation
In large bowl, (preferably a ceramic bowl) sift the confectioner's sugar and keep aside. In a saucepan, heat the water and add the gelatin and stir till the gelatin dissolves and becomes clear. Turn off the heat, stir in the glucose and glycerin and mix till the contents blend well. Make a hole in the middle of the sugar, pour the contents of the saucepan and stir till the ingredients are mixed properly. Knead the icing till it becomes firm. If you find the mixture to be sticky, you can sprinkle confectioner's sugar while kneading to give it a stiff consistency. Roll the mixture into a ball and store it in an air tight container, after wrapping it in a plastic wrap, at room temperature.
To apply a coat of fondant to the cake, spread the buttercream on the cake. The buttercream helps the fondant to stick to the cake. Flatten the fondant icing using a rolling pin, till it is ¼ inches thick, on a surface that is freshly dusted with cornstarch. Carefully lift the rolled fondant and place it on top of the cake. With your hands (don't forget to dust your hands with cornstarch), smoothen the fondant evenly over the cake till the surface is even. Cut off the extra fondant with a knife and decorate the cake with royal icing. Store the cake at room temperature as the fondant tends to remain fresh for approximately two days. Ingredients
•8 cups confectioner's sugar
•1 package unflavored gelatin
•1 tsp. vanilla extract
•¼ cup cold water
•1 tbsp. glycerin

Heat a saucepan of water, mix the gelatin and stir till the gelatin dissolves completely. Stir in the glycerin, glucose and shortening and mix them properly. Turn off the burner and mix the vanilla extract. Allow this mixture to cool down till it becomes lukewarm. In a large bowl, add four cups of confectioner's sugar and make a hole in the middle using a spatula. Pour in the lukewarm gelatin and stir well. Keep adding sugar till the mixture is not sticky. Knead this fondant with the remaining sugar till it becomes smooth. Store this in an airtight container at room temperature and before using the fondant, knead it again till it becomes smooth and soft. Try this fondant icing recipe for cookies. Add the icing colors and almond extract and remove the saucepan from the burner. Pour this mixture in a circular motion on the already iced cake, by touching the sides with a spatula. This is one of the best fondant icing recipe for wedding cake as it gives a smooth and shiny finish to the cake. For more fondant icing recipes, read homemade fondant.
