Dolce,
NP ... hee now it only 2mth + to their 1st birthday... hahah my venue not fix i alr confirm a no. of things liao...

Celine,
ya PG customise cake price is reasonable... my friend custom make a disney princess theme with castle only $140...

I think our babies's birthday clashes with Youth Olympics and National Day hence make it more difficult to book venues.

celine,

i like your son's thomas & friends cake! i'm also planning a thomas theme for my son! he's excited when he sees thomas. haha! did you get the toys yourself to place on the cake or PG provide?

Celine,
My husband has a photography studio..heehee...

Ooh ya he promise to come up with something for all of us here...to take baby picture since the last taken was our maternity pic...
which reminds me that I need to choose out all the photos to do up the mag album so that can show our guests during the bday...

donkey,
ya maybe I will just do it at home for immediate families & close friends ard 20-25 pax too. Initially wanted to book Cricket Club function room to celebrate my boy birthday together with Nationdal day but fully booked too so sian!

zen,
I buy the toys to let PG place for us.
happy.gif
I have done Thomas, Mcqueen and Ben10 3D cakes for my #1 before so I understand what you are going thru..hahaha.

happy.gif

celine> hehe. how much is that cake? =p i wonder if dey have any pooh or mickey ones =p

bb> haha. cos tat time i remember i was looking for a nice 21st yr old cake for myself. den smoeone tell me lana cake very nice. wah i go there. de cake looks like a piece of shit lo =x

michelle,
I think mine cost ard $130+ its the toys that we got to buy ourselves. Otherwise it is really cheap
happy.gif
They definitely have Pooh and Mickey designs. Usually their design is 2 tiers (includes 2 flavour) and just layed the toys on the cakes.

Celine,

He's taken complimentary shots for some of us when we are all still expecting...heehee..
Nope we did not advertise in SMH =)

celine,

he used to like mickey. then dunno since when he starts to like thomas & friends. i intend to buy a normal cake & just buy the thomas cake decorating kit to decorate myself. or shd i jus buy the toys instead of the kit cheaper? how much is 1 toy?

michelle,
you like chocolate cake? have you tried prima deli's belgium something? the more ex one? very nice! hv rum taste but it's not rum.

celine,

the mcqueen looks nice also! btw, is the one beside a jelly cake? do you still have the contact? any idea if they do thomas jelly cake too?

ladies,
how many kg cake shd i get for around 40 guests? is 2 kg enuff or need 3kg?

zen,
my #2 like mickey mouse too so I intend to get a Mickey cake for him.

the decorating kit cost how much? 1 thomas toy is about $10+ I think so u can buy 3~4, the good thing is your boy can keep the 4 toys to play with but the decorating kit not sure whether he can play or not?

i got this cake from PG for my boy;s birthday. Gotta pay $25 for artistic fees. Cake was yummy and the children love it.

Bought the pooh bear figurine separately.

happy.gif

PG replied within half an hr...wow!
Even though its to enquire gender of my baby so they can send the relevant sample pic...
Thumbs up !

zen,
yes they definitely do thomas jelly cake because I got the Thomas jelly cake together with the PG Thomas cake that time too haha..

the contact is Mrs Chan: 96350758
They have alot of design e.g. pooh, mickey, dora, carebears etc
Price ard $45+ each

zen,
i think just get 2kg enough... u can slice it thinly for everyone to get a bite else it will be too filling. :p

talk abt that Mrs Chan, i was really pissed with her. I got a jelly cake from her for my son's 1st birthday coz he couldn't take milk & eggs then. She spelled my boy's name wrongly and end up he didn't have his name on his 1st birthday cake! Fed up.

Dolcevita,

Awfully choc is nice ah? My hb & i love chocolate cake! Actually i'm a dessert lover! Is it at Vivo? Tat time i pass by the shop by didn't see any cake on display.

Piggytoh,

2kg enuff ah? my hb suggested getting 1kg of durian cake frm emicakes & 1 kg of belgium choc frm prima. but 1 kg looks so small leh. even 2 1kg cake also look funny rite?

want to ask you abt caterer, goodluck. for my 40 guests, how many pax shd i order based on your experience?

celine,
does the jelly cake taste good?
i saw online the decorating kit is abt $17.50. One Thomas the Tank and Friends at the Carnival 4 piece Cake Decorating Kit. Each kit includes: One 3.75 inch Thomas figure, One 1.5 inch Percy Ring, One 1.5 inch James Ring, and One 4.75 inch Carnival Background. only the thomas can play.

cake> ah. now i need to get another simple, n not too costly cake. hubby say wanna buy another cake go sch cut n let teacher eat. faint. where to get cheap n good. smaller cake pls. infant care not very big =p

celine> so they oredi got pooh figurines? cos i dun think i wanna spend money buying the figurines =p save money =x

bb> i eaten awfully chocolate before. i dun mind eating them. but not as 21st or 1st bdae cake ba. too simple =x

zen> hehe. actually i m not a cake person. cos hor. i hate all the creams. the cake i like is from a jap brand. forget wat brand. belongs to pokka one =p cheap n really good.

zen,
the jelly cake taste good to us lah, in fact my husband love this jelly cake so much that last year he specifically told me he want a jelly cake for his birthday not those normal cream cakes.

Its up to you to decide whether to buy the kit or the toys either way I am sure the cake will turn out nice
happy.gif

Mich,

michelle

Paid $124 for 3kg + artistic fees. haha, cannot lend lah, u want gotta buy. :p I may reuse it for my gal's birthday next time. This time round she's having eggless cake, so not sure can incorporate that in or not.

hmm if ur guests r all adult can jus order 30pax portion shd be sufficient...

My crazy mum suggest to have the party at Kbox!!!

Actually we are ok with the venue cos there isn't any kids other than Ovann and all the guests are adults ... but somehow it just sounds inappropriate :p

Cloudme,
here u go..
[email protected]

Michelle,
if u only wan a simple cake i would recommend Four leaves... they cakes r generally quite nice..

Pegsfur,
wow ur mum so happening... but Kbox not cheap also rite?? n i tink no outside food wor..

Piggy, the mickey cake u posted also vy nice...cos i like simple one not too fancy design..so u will ask PG to make it in blue for kyler?

pegs,
yr mother really innovative haha...not a bad idea wor since i love to sing the only problem the volume might be too loud for our little ones?

happy.gif

DOnkeymami,

I bought from babyterroronline.com. U can say referred by me and get a discount I think. The 3 kg was for 50 children but got a lot of leftover even tho some had second servings. Actually now got time u can order the figurines from overseas website thru sprees. Much cheaper.

mashy,
tks for the lobang!
happy.gif

re: birthday spree
i remember reira wanted to have a spree but cannot remember the website? And not sure whether she want to proceed...

RE: CUPCAKE
gals i check with Yan.. the 3D cow will cost $4 each... ok with u gals? or if u gals jus wan cow theme we leave it to Yan to design?

These are Kai's 4th and 6th birthday cakes, 4th one is during our stay in Vancouver (3kg) and the 6th one was when we were in Sg last year. The other like 1st, 2nd and 3rd birthday I don't have them with me and the 5th one was a really simple one to celebrate at home as school here does not allow cake to be brought to school.
