Zachary fall off bed countless time le. but ours is platform bedframe. he will roll off bed or drop off when pushing himself back using his legs

will train him to sleep by himself once we got our flat. there will sure be some scream cry & sleepless nights when the time comes.

I have a bandabib in fuschia that I'm not using. I got it thinking my gals would like it, but they didnt, and the colour not suitable for my boy. Do you want it?

haha, he has a lot of hair on the front hallf of his head, but the back is going botak v soon coz he always shake his head when lying down. So after each nap, I'll see like 10-20 hairs on his pillow ;(
 
Tokyo -100 yen shop is good enough for me looo.not so cold now though but thermal wear is a must.
Their malls etc no aircon so wear too thick very hot too ESP if u can't remove

Co-sleepig:it's actaully a good bonding thing when they bigger they will wanna sleep by themselves anywY.

Both kids co sleep with us now (due to lack of space too hehheheh)

well i thought zac was making fun of mummy and daddy cos he always has his voice back somewhat at granny's place. but then it has been 4 weeks now, so went to see doc and when the doc look down his throat, saw that it was red and got us an ent appt.

weaning
well the point of weaning is to reduce milk feeds right? so what happens when bb still wants to drink milk after a cereal feed? i tried giving water & reducing milk feed amount but it works for like 20 min, and he goes off again until his full milk feed. am worried that he will get overweight (as if he is not now)

co sleeping
i was very into bb sleeping on his own when he's NB-3months, but when i returned back to work, it's so much easier/convenient to co sleep, so right now zac is nestled between myself and hubby.

oh another reason is that zac has outgrown his cot and he gets stuck every now and then, it gets maddening when need to wake up every couple of hours to adjust him.

btw if bb outgrown his cot - what can he sleep in?

MIL was questioning (complaining) why we let bb sleep with us, not worried next time he will be clingy and won't sleep on his own.

experienced mummies - how true is the above?

i find that co sleeping to some pt can be exhausting to all 3 pple in the bed. eg bb feed/cry - all 3 woken up, both adults end up not enuff sleep. eg either adult move in bed - bb high chance to wake up also(although zac does go back to sleep on his own) - resulting in bb interruppted sleep.

but then we got to love waking up in the morning and the 1st thing we see is bb sleeping so sweetly- that kinda reminds us why we need to wake up and go to office :p

hehe i dun think u'll like to carry sam lor!

i asked whether jumperoo's safe for the bb. he started talking abt how now parents give their kids too many toys, kids become overstimulated, next time they'll aws complain abt this game boring/that toy boring n have short attn span.. parents shd teach their kids, we're the best toy etc.

i gather he doesn't support the idea of too many toys. but like i was talking to pegsfur.. we have to decide how much is too much lor.

anyway sam can't use jumperoo lah. by the time his legs are steadier n can use, i think it can't take his weight n will collapse!

co sleeping

sam has been sleeping on his own in his cot since 3 mths, when he started sleeping thru. still working out fine for us. we let him sleep in aircon n on the bb monitor so one of us can jump up if he wakes at nite, which is seldom.

he can't sleep with us lah, hubs might kick or smash him! or wake him with his snores!

When my girl 4 months old, I bought a Graco playpan. It's bigger than the cot so able to sleep more comfortably. Also she can play in it when she grows bigger. I stack up more matresses so that she can roll without me worrying she may fall. I let her sleep in the playpan beside my bed. She loves to sleep between us but for my point of view, it's a very bad habit. So those very fussy nights, I'll hv no choice but let her sleep between us till she falls asleep then put her on the playpan otherwise she will sleep on her own in the playpan. Hb and I r discussing when to move her out of our room. She needs to learn to be independent n sleep on her own like any other kids.
 
co-sleeping
we all sleep in the same room, but hb zzz on the flr with the 2 girls, and I sleep with bb on the bed. We have 2 single mattresses on the flr n a queen bed. The girls are ok, a bit clingy but i think it's also partially their personality. The easiest way to 'uncling' them is to switch on playhouse disney.

actually ryan has been sleeping in his own cot all these while till 2 weeks back ie when i went back work...he was almost sleeping thru the nite already until when i went back work
he would wake up like every 2-3hrs to latch...too tiring for me....end up i latch him lying down so dat i can get some sleep...so he ended up sleeping wif us...i tried putting him back into his cot (juz beside my bed) then he will be back to his frequent wakings
anyone experience the same?

as long as they are used to havign diff faces playing etc with them they should be fine

babymaking, wow, so fast outgrow the cot. My 2.5 yr old still in the cot, maybe my cot is quite big, its those kind that can be converted to a toddler bed. If bb dun sleep in cot, ard 2 yr old can transit to big bed or even mattress on the floor?
 
sharon, think for sleeping arrangement, its whatever works best for you. If Ryan sleeps better this way, and you get more sleep, then maybe just let it be for now. U can always transit him to his own bed/room when he is older, say ard 2 yrs old. But of course, that also takes time, and have to give some incentive or bribe :p My friend bribe her daughter with princess bedsheets, and star stickers ha ha ha

But u can place him between u and hb so as to ensure he dun roll off the bed. Also put a pillow at the end of the bed in case he shifts too far down.

<font color="0077aa">Apr 09 moms hv seen me use Freshening brand alcohol wipes (70% Isopropyl Alcohol) 2 disinfect high-chairs &amp; table-tops b4 I put my boy in them. Actuali, I use A LOT of these coz itz veri effective to kill bacteria &amp; mold. I use them to clean new toys, wipe any work surfaces regularly, definitely on diaper-trays 2 b4 I put my bb on them… It also evaporates veri quickly so doesn't leave any residue or scent (unlike Dettol). Tho when u 1st open e wrap there is e alcohol smell (nt e drinking kind hor) BUT it dissipates fast. What I do is kp e kidz as far away as I kan when I'm using these wipes, dan clean oledi walk some distance away &amp; come back agn. Also, if I use it to clean anything dat made of fabric e.g. soft-toy, I leave e toy aside 2 dry for abt 15mins. More details available fr the links I've provided above. Alcohol wipes are also handy for spring-cleaning use 2. I use it 2 wipe any new utensil, wipe off mold on items kept in storage 2 long. Even toilet seats. But CANNOT use on any wooden furniture which is treated i.e. wood varnish kan come off...</font>

Mmmm ... then i think i must hv got it at $19+. I bot it at JL. I kinda like the red/berry type of colour but it turns out dark brownish. Think i'm gonna try the same colour again ... hopefully can achieve the colour since my hair colour is lighter now

Like wat weishy said, it's good if it works for u ... just need to make sure u dun 'squash' ryan unknowingly, other than making sure he doesn't fall off the bed. It happened to me once, not to my baby, but my previous dog cos she slept with me. I do not how but one morning my hubby (den my bf) aske me where is my dog? I looked at my bed and din see her.. look under my bed oso dun have, finally found her panting heavily under the comforter, with 1 of her legs pinned under my bolster.

For now, bb co-sleeping with me is not an option cos ours is a queen size bed, not enough space. 2ndly, my dog has access to our bed, so i dun want bb to sleep on it. 3rdly, my hubby has thunderous snore ... bb won't be able to sleep properly .. hahaha

But i'm not sure if u r really ok with clingy bb, but maybe becos u dun take care of him 24/7, it's ok to u. For me, ovann has started to get clingy to me for the past week and it's really getting on my nerves. Must always see my face ...if not he will cry. I can't even leave his cot to wash bottle/take diaper from the cupboard/go kitchen for a drink. Super buay tahan.
 
Pegsfur-long phase though heheheh depends on how u handle it.some ppl can 放开 some cannot so torture themselves finally.

I'm the only one to take care of him, dat's why so pek chek. My mum comes over a few times a week to play with him, i'm ok with that. But it'll start when my mum leaves lor. I oso dunno wat to do .. hiaz ...

how many mins did u wait for the dye? i waited 30mins (and Zachary cried for 30mins). a guardian sales assisstant told me she waited for 45mins (chiffon beige) and it turn out brown. i think it all depends on ur current hair color, how long u wait for the dye after applying &amp; how well your hair. aiya, in short " Results will vary depending on the shade and lightness of hair before coloring, the hair’s condition, room temperature and how long the mixture is left on. " (copy paste from their webbie).

i understand how you feel! so frustrating that Zachary cry the moment i left the room. but when he got toy to play he will be ok with it lol like now playing with his FP gym.

nowadays i will try to ask hubby accompany Zachary when ever he is free and not sleeping. else i think he will be quite upset also if Zachary cry even when he hug and can only be comfort by me. the other day i went to guardian check the bubble hair color, hubby brought Zachary to shop n save. then a few mins after they left me, Zachary starts scream crying. lol only when i hug him then he stopped but still make the very ke lian "mommy dont leave me" sound &amp; complains.

bbmall sizing - for Zachary ok but a lot comment that it is quite small. so i suggest buy 2 size bigger incase especially Kyler so tall! =) bigger size can always wear just a bit loose but smaller size then will be wasted.

yah lor i want a compact one. the one i am looking at from electrolux is a 5.4kg vacuum cleaner. others from electrolux only about 4kg. =( now i am thinking maybe just buy a lightweight one thats 500w suction power &amp; around 1500 W motor. haha

piggy, I have one of those water based vacuum thingees like rainbow... very good indeed. I no choice but to invest cos my house got 1 adult and 1 kid with asthma so all my mattress have to be super clean and normal vacuum cleaner doesn't work on mattress. Only thing is buy already must use often to make it worth the money...
