(2009/08) August 2009 MTBs

sigh.... the whole family is down wif flu & cough. my dad who comes over to my place almost every day is down wif fever, flu & cough. then my boy also down wif slight fever, runny nose & cough. my mum who is the maincare giver is having cough now. and now is my turn having runny nose.

last nite my boy vomitted all over me. my hair, t-shirt, shorts, my body front & back all ganna his vomit. even the sofa. got to shout for my hb to come out frm the bathroom & help me carry so tat i can move. i'm like drenched wif vomit even my legs. then got to remove the sofa covers to wash. the whole of last nite, my boy kept making noise. can't sleep. think he's feeing very unwell. this morning quickly bring him to the doc. i'm so so tired out.....

sometimes i really can't stand my hb. he's so easily irritated. my boy made a lot of noise last nite & my hb got irritated & scolded my boy. i know he's tired. i'm also tired wat. but i also endure wat. who says mummies must hv more patience than men?

piggy, yes I thought its amazing too. I use it as a purifier for my room, and my hb use it to vaccum the car. I think its one of my best investments... I figured if can last 10 yrs, then should be worth it ha ha

i'm sorry for grumbling so much here but i really can't stand it.... my hb is good when comes to bathing my boy, doing housework, etc. i can say almost everything but his temper is just so BAD! he's so impatient & quick-tempered!!! we quarrelled so many times becos of our boy alreadi.... the worst thing is he still wants #2!

human r jus not perfect so gotta gave n take lor.. dun quarrel over this la it jus make things worse try to talk to him when he is in gd mood n see wat he say? my HB is consider gd temper towards us but at times he will also pek chey when my boi cry so i will take over so he dun get too piss off by my boi...
 
then my mil insists my hb to go attend his uncle's wake for a few nites, including tonite which is the last nite & tomorrow morning chu bing. the thing is they rarely meet up wif his father's side relatives. not even chinese new year. imagine i've never even met up wif them before. i find it so ridiculous. cos they dun even keep in contact for years, and now my mil expects my hb to go down to help out becos he's considered 'grandson'.

i know he loves my boy a lot too & he enjoys playing wif him. he's a good father & husband who helps out a lot. but he's jus so impatient lor. which kid doesn't get cranky & cry & whine? it comes as a package wat.
 
piggy, if really last 25 yrs, then every year only $100+ then quite worth... when your boy is older, and u have more kids, then even more worth it cos got many more mattresses to vacuum!

zen, take care, and hope u get well soon. Maybe u should sit down with hb and have a talk about the way u feel. Not easy for someone to change his temper immediately, have to help him recognise his problem, and slowly take steps to change.

Oh dear, u must have had a hard time when hubby flare up. I understand that kinda feeling coz my one of my boyfriends in the past was like that and I couldn't stand it. Thank God my hubby is very good tempered and super slow to anger. But sometimes also cannot stand his too relax attitude. Haha!

i tok to him so many times alreadi. and he said he hv been trying to control. honestly there's a little improvement. maybe i shd give him more time to change. i jus feel so heartache when i see him shout at my boy & beat his backside. and i get so angry when he loses his temper. i mean i'm also working & tired and i got to wake up several times at nite for breastfeeding. but i dun lose my temper tat way. a baby is still a baby wat.

aiya, men are like that one. my hubby also. i always told Zachary not to be so bad tempered like his daddy lol. if Zachary vomits on him he will be real angry. but if vomit on me he will auto get me handkerchief in a flash. Is your boy teething? teething can cause vomit right?

tell him how to have #2 when he is already so irritated and bad tempered towards #1?

Weishy Teething tablets - when does babymaking need it? If it is not urgent, I ordered 4 boxes of Hylands from the spree and order was placed early this week - can spare her 1 box if she wants... PM/FB me if needed as I will not be checking checking the forum once I start work on Mon.

i did tell him before, how to hv #2 when he's like tat wif #1? he joked two ganna together one after another. 2 years tough after tat will be fine liao. wah piang! i dread putting #2 thru daddy's bad temper & treatment. the strange thing is my boy still very sticky to daddy even though daddy is so fierce wif him. my dog also lor. ganna jialat jialat frm him still very sticky to him.

oh ya, my boy teething now. his two bottom teeth came out liao. nowadays he kept putting things to rub on his top gum. dunno is it the tooth on top coming out soon.

Actually mattress is v dirty leh the sales got show me many news paper cuttin on how harmful these dustmite might caused n if ur boi got asthma worse.. Actually even if u dun intend to buy jus get the service to clean ur mattress lor really can see v v thick layer of dust leh the vacuum can also kill germs if ur family got pp sick it helps lor..

like WEISHY I am also the impatient 1haha when my boi naughty I will beat his backside also keke.. But really la can't change overnight la I tink he dun wan dis also tell him if he dun change no #2 lor tell him u can't take it with his current temper?
 
before i forget, (nowadays very poor memory) is anyone feeding yr baby yoghurt soon? is baby yoplait the only brand suitable for babies? went ntuc onli saw this brand for babies.

my hb also sort of in the 'military'. so when he's fierce, he's super fierce lor. he beat my boy's backside v hard & when my boy barely 1 mth old, he alreadi grabbed his mouth like criminal liao. i told him off & he stopped doing tat. now he onli beat backside.

agree with the moms abt rainbow vacuum cleaner. After seeing the demo, will definitely xin yang yang want to buy. Especially they see you have bb at home, will say that do you want your bb to sleep on all this dust and mites? etc.
Some sales can be quite hardsell, but the lady who came the 2nd time was still ok. We actually bought 1 a couple of yrs ago (just finished paying up instalment a few months ago), and we find it good. Only thing is, when we changed maid, asked them to come and teach the new maid, they said must pay $50. And this was even though during demo they said retraining was free. So quite irritated. Anyway, someone recommended us for 2nd time free demo, so I asked my maid to watch and ask qns if she dun understand how to use. gao dim.

weishy, yes having a domestic helper makes a difference, before having a maid, my hb and I also quarel cos we were stressed and tired managing 2 kids then. Thanks, thanks, next time, u fly to S Africa, let me know, how much is the mop?

reira, I also didn't know have to vacuum mattress until they came to demo to me and show me all the dust on my mattress *faint* But I still put mattress protector (protector have to wash). My hb got some asthma, so have to have all kinds of dust mite protection.

The olive plant seller, I saw that she reply to someone else's message only like 8-10 days later!!

ktmum, mine is not the OSIM one, its Delphin (some German brand). Ya quite ma fan to fill with water and heavy, but suppose its the best way to trap the dirt cos the dirt can't escape from the water. Usually I put some dettol into the water to sanitise my mattresses.

i use the abc mat to put under jumperoo...scratched easily n badly...imagine bb lying on it...they may eat the bits n pieces...so i tink nt v good n nt safe
