Oh, you gals are getting a FS master to choose the Chinese name?

Wow, $160 v ex woh.

I also dunno where to find people to choose name. Cos my hubby & I are both Catholics, so we won't be going to Buddhist masters to choose. But we don't know how to choose Chinese names leh.. Any to recommend? :p

i am so tempted to use baby hair to make into chinese calligraphy brush but dont wanna shave my boy's head on his full month! maybe i will do it when he gets his first haircut :D

how come baby head down and cannot see baby's face le? my baby been head down since week 24 and till now, we can still see his face in ultrasound scan.

haha your gynae is very cute. suggesting to print pic of her kidney to let you bring home. maybe next visit ask him to print hand/feet instead?

Actually I prefer this fist scan instead of the engaged face below. donno why his head looks like very sharp. Then dark dark de everything cannot see only can see the head shape.

reira: i duuno got special salons can cut hair for baby. i tot just any malay barbers at neighbourhood shops will do.

any recommendations from anyone regarding bb's 1st hair cut?
 
just now when I go toilet, I realise that I have those egg white "jelly" discharge. Its not bloody though... is it the muscus plug huh?

i still find it quite amazing that even tho baby is upside down, when the machine scans, baby's head will be on the right. i wonder how ah wong do it! even if baby engage, still can see! she will pull down your panties slightly and scan that area de. maybe i should go wax tomorrow else monday see her again so paiseh cos of the bush haha!

i dont think those hair removing cream works. it is like shaving but instead of using shaving blade, u use cream and the thing provided?

i am going to ask my gynae if bringing pump is really important for stimulating the breasts for milk or not. else i lazy to bring cos need to bring one more bag. then again, i worry if Zachary dont want to latch on or I donno how to breastfeed correctly leh... haiz...

actually, wash bra is easier than washing clothing leh! haha cos lesser cloth mah.

yeah maybe she is facing your back. so far my boy dont wanna face my back leh. kept facing 10 o'clock direction. i wonder what is there to see at that direction. talking about dont have baby's ultrasound pic to bring back hor. my first gynae visit at a random JW gynae is the worst... went to him at week 10 cos he is the nearest gynae then during the ultrasound scan, he like blocking my view then even tho i said i cannot see, he also bo chap. -_- so in the end, i never get to see how Zachary looks like at week 10!! cried after reaching home cos of that! hubby said his legs was still like tail and draw for me... haha his drawing was so horrible.

oh... neighbourhood shop will cut ah? or maybe we mommies need to go learn how to cut baby's hair hor? else what if baby cry when he/she sees a stranger gonna do something to her. aiyo @_@

thats normal i think. i also got the white jelly discharge. btw, how was your BW experience? how long did it took? Did you have to help push your skin up when she pull away the wax?
 
sbb:humm if dun wear bra....will really leak le........whole shirt etc will be soak thru le.....not comfy...tats why hv to use the milk shells or pads
 
I'm buddhist and actually if you ask those true masters, they will tell you no need to count birth time and name for BB. The saying goes: "Every day is a good day, every second is a good time"

the whole BW lasted about 1 hr! (I thought its quite long process). The lady say she will use a smaller amount of wax so that it will not be so painful. i dont have to help her at all. I just lie there and try to take a nap. (not quite possible though)

I dont have those egg white type of jelly discharge during preggie. This is the 1st time. its like 1 "string" of about 3cm, not whole piece one.
I thought its the muscus plug, give me a scare!

my bb also of a good weight of 2.5kg... @ 35wks
but scare gynae will tell me that i have to go thru induce...since i short...

yeah baby might come out soon. It all depend on the checkup next mon....
And I hope wont gain as much weight, otherwise big baby difficult to come out via natural. if possible, i wont want to have Csec..

the lady I went for BW will take 1 hr to wax for me also but i have to help pull my skin de leh. to minimize the pain. like when she pull down, instead of my skin going down, it just stays there cos i was pulling them up. haha hope you get what i mean.

just saw your comment about your disney stack toy. aiyo, the whole thing became your doggie's toy ah? i went to machine wash one of the toy ring with sound and luckily it still got sound haha! btw, did you put in laundry bag when you wash the waterproof mat?

yeah, i got the egg white jelly discharge which starts around end of last week.

thats good that your girl facing your back leh! my gynae say if baby facing back, baby will come out smoother. if baby face front, then might need to assist using forcep or vacuum. by 1st aug, i think Zachary should be 3.3kg too! but i am cutting down on carbo recently, hopefully he will be just 3.1 - 3.2kg haha. the smaller, the better since last monday he was already 2.8kg.

5 now. But think need to get better ones with better support & also more nursing tops. Now only have 2 and 1 normal top that can be used as nursing top.
 
bb's first hair cut
for my #1, we cut his hair on his man yue.
i carried my son while my hubby used a scissors to snip off some hair.
we kept bb's hair in an angbao packet.
we also keep the dried umbilical cord stump in an angbao packet, put some bb powder in it.

the first time when I wash the waterproof mat, i put it in a net, the 2nd time I wash I didnt put the mat (it was an accident acutally, I also dont know how the mat end up in the washing machine!)

My doggie very picky, he only wants blue de. I have to keep it from him now if not he'll hide under the dining table with it. He was looking for it the whole night!

the bb powder is to absorb the moisture in the angbao packet.

hair cut,
we didn't cut a lot of hair during the first month cos my son doesn't have much hair. just snip a bit here and there. **yi si yi si**

oh, on the day of man yue, we bathe him in pomelo leaves and some blessed leaves in the bath tub.

hope this is useful.

haha blue stack toy is the first one i throw inside washing machine to test if can machine wash. lucky still got sound. oh havent check those need to press de.

I always find that BB with not much hair very cute leh! hehe! I'm a premmie so dont have much hair.
My BB photo when I'm more than 1 yr old.. still no hair! Look like boy hor!

My nursery rhymes cd are purchased when I was working as a principal in a preschool centre back then. Those guys came to my centre to promote and even when we hold open house, there were stalls set up to promote their educational stuffs. But, i believe you can actually get Nursery rhymes cds at Popular oor even download from internet, right?
 
Btw, thanks to all the mummies for your well-wishes again! its really good to have so many lovely ladies around in this forum, thats why i am sticking to the Aug 2009 though my boy was borned in July. ;p
 
this week I got a new addiction... its the ice blended soya milk with pearls! with the hot weather, very shiok! It's soya milk mah, so much healthy than bubble tea hor... think I should have another one today
