chintz, hmmmm...mucus plug is the plug that blocked the entrance of the cervix that protect the baby from external infections that entered through the vargina... so u start to dilate or the cervix expands or soften, the body will auto expel this mucus plug.. some women notice it when it expels frm the body, some don't...

vinegar pig trotter
do we have to prepare the vinegar days in advance? my CL won't be here till i pop leh... in this case how should i get the vinegar? or since cant eat this till 2 weeks after delivery, then CL will make the vinegar when she is here?

u buy those bottle vinergar in advance and asked ur CL to cook 1 wk after ur bb is delivered...
then just nice for u to eat on the 3rd wk in ur confinement...
my mil bought 3 bottles for the auntie to make...
while pig trotter can ask CL go buy a few days b4 u wanna start eating(to cook a few days for trotter to be soft...)

i haven't bought any. just got a pack of NB huggies given by my cordlife sales rep.
last time i tried mamy poko for bb, that poopoo pocket, not good i think, tends to leak.
wonder what other good ones to try? pampers should be fine ya!

Nicole, you can actually head towards your gynae's clinic if its open already. If you are going to deliver then your gynae will ask you to go delivery ward to report.

me too tried mamypoko last time but since #1 is ger(butt smaller) so leaking is expected...
so for #2, hope his butt is just nice otherwise got to sell it off...

if my hb not around to fetch me he sponsor for all my cab trips too during the past week...its too heavy for me to work around
regarding this gp b strep, you dun worry too much as long as you take the antibiotic and monitor closely by gynae you and bb should be ok.

yday my boy saw me packing the bag, he asked me where am I going I told him i am going away to give birth to #2 he started to cry asking me dun go away...aiyo!

diapers, i bought pampers for newborn, and stock up alot of pampers and huggies for size 1!! really ALOT..hehhee...like more than 500 pieces in total...LOL....

Chintz, you mean folding the nappy ah? There's only one way to fold it.
If you worry when you wear for bb and it will be loose, you can get those nappy pants so that you can secure it nicely.
I hope you have gotten the nappy liner as its easier to wash if you have it.

instead of cherrios.irene, yest went my routine ctg monitoring also no regular contractions yet leh..these few days i became giraffe alrdy! everyday paranoid when go toilet, must check waterbag gt burst ma, got pinkish discharge ma...nw i dun feel anything except my gal moving..hehee...but today no appetite to eat even thou very hungry eh!! nt like the usual me....

Celine, its really jelly...you won't mistake it for normal discharge. The last round when I had it, it comes in beidge colour...then sometimes got blood streak in the jelly. You can have it for many days or even a week before you deliver.
No feeling when it comes out. You will notice it when you wipe after using toilet.
If not you opt for 1 bedder than let your hb and Joshua hang around in the day time. When its nite time, ask them to all go back and you rest.

Cherrios, hahaha..I have been doing the toilet check eversince my gynae says my girl is engaged. Must be more observant in case miss out all the signs.

Napisan is the washing powder for washing cloth diaper. It removes the poo stain very well. You can go NTUC unity to get it. I've seen it before.

chintz, after hearing mashy say her CL use lemongrass, I went and asked my MIL. My MIL say its possible, just take lemongrass/blue ginger and pound & crush, then boil in the water and when cooled down, use to bath. Same concept as those smelly black herbs lah.

celine, its like our cough mucus? sticky and stretchy one, it can be blood tinged or just white in colour, mine was reddish cos I had VE checkup that day and was spotting...a fren of mine, when she lost it, she heard a "pop" sound but mine didn't... mine stick to my bottom and when i try to wipe with tissue also cun remove, must use hand..sorry if I sound too visual here...

chintz, if u gonna close factory after this one, better to do a proper confinment lo, better be safe than sorry..hehe...but I also half bucket one, i told my mum i wil do what my body tells me to do, i dun wan later go into depression just bcos cun bath or cun wash hair lo...
