hihi morning gals

just an update, little fellow is now 2.4kg at Week 33 Day 4, however as he's still breech, C sect is set on Fri 24 July 2009, 14 days later.

of course all bets will be off if contractions becomes more severe, bb heart beat drop or water bag burst.

goodnews is that he's of good enough weight to come into this world anytime now.

btw want to ask - is the lochia for c sect more/lesser than that for vaginal birth?

also, how to increase haemoglobin level? cause i notice mine is borderline low, and to top off, will be doing a autologous transfusion sometime next week..so need to know what's the fastest way to increase red blood cells levels?

babymaking:it must be those super firm ones (for back ache,after surgery type.....make sure firm if nto wound will be painful ar my dear )
the lochia is lesser for me le........think 1 week or so done liao......btu not heavy flow type.think depending on individual...me very little blood maybe

Bb making,
I'll be on my 37th going 38th week. At last check gynae estimate him to be around 2.5kg but will confirm the weight again when I go for my growth scan on Monday. So u be delivering around the 35th week?

35 weeks 4 days..hoping to last that long...cause the contractions are getting worse each passing day. gynae already increase dose of anti contractions med to 4 times a day...but seems to be less effective as the days goes.

by now he also say if bb wants to come out earlier, shld not be a problem as he's of good weight, lungs also mature with steriod jabs. only thing is need to watch out is that bb is breech.

I heard that BBmall got some probs recently. I ordered BBmall stuff from rainbowpooh long ago, & the shipping was ok. Then after that I ordered the waterproof stuff from qing & the shipping was horrendous!

Recently one of the Sep09 mummies org a spree for us, also same prob. All the items came in a very big box, end up the shipping also more expensive. But not as bad as the qing one. That one, hor, the shipping was like $180 for all of us who took part!

hi ladies,
i'm back frm my 36wk check-up. did the test for strep B.i feel veri uncomfortable & felt a little pain though i do pap smear yearly. dunno is it not tat i'm preggy, more sensitive 'down there' or this swab test is a little more painful.

after this wk, i've to go for weekly check-up liao. gynae said baby's head is less than half into my pelvic area. i put on 1kg during these 2 weeks. but becos my overall weight gain is onli 8kg, gynae wans me to continue putting on weight. so as usual, i can eat eat anything. no restriction.

btw, who is Exxxxxx Lam who added me in FB? so confused wif all yr real names & nicks.

Pregnant women are at a greater risk than the rest of the population of suffering serious complications from swine flu, Canadian health authorities warned.

"Thankfully, the majority of A(H1N1) illness in Canada is mild, but we are seeing that some people, including pregnant women, are more susceptible to serious illness and complications," said Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq.

Pregnant women who contract the flu virus strain run the risk of premature births and miscarriage, according to Chief Public Health Officer David Butler-Jones.

Research suggests that pregnant women are not more susceptible to the A(H1N1) virus, but are at a greater risk of complications if they do get infected, Butler-Jones told reporters.

He recommended that pregnant women take several precautions, ranging from following ordinary hygiene practices to "avoiding large crowds."

Three pregnant women were among a group of six people who have been admitted to intensive care after contracting swine flu in one Canadian province, said Danielle Grondin, an assistant deputy minister at the Public Health Agency of Canada. She declined to name the province.

Canadian health authorities said they had published guidelines for pregnant women infected with swine flu, as well as a factsheet with information for expectant mothers.

Canada has a reserve of antiviral vaccinations, including 55 million doses of Tamiflu and Relenza, which authorities said were effective treatments and safe for use by pregnant women.

A study is also underway to examine why some patients have developed more severe versions of the A(H1N1) virus than others.

More than 9,700 people in Canada have contracted the A(H1N1) virus, the Public Health Agency said.

So far, 894 cases have been severe enough to merit hospitalization, and 39 people have died from swine flu, it added.</font>

Same! My gynae also don't want my boy to be over 3.1kg. my gynae is concern about it because of my height - only 1.5m. But I don't want Zachary to come out in July, so die die must carry him until week 39 Day 3 (1st Aug). I think he will be 3.3kg by then leh!! considering he gain 200g a week. If he is really 3.3kg, then i will end up c-section liao. so scared of getting cut up!!!

HI gals

I'm back from my gynae appt.

Guess what? I told my gynae abt the pink discharge and she did a VE. I'm 1 cm dilated and she wanted me to go in for the C-section today! I'm not ready...... Anyway, told her i'm not ready and she sent me to do CTG to monitor contractions. I'm having irregular contractions and can only feel 1 out of 3 contractions. So she let me off but said to be prepared for any moment now, coz the pink discharge is a sign of a show.

Now really praying hard that my boy is HFMD free else i'll have double headache.

Oh, my ILs fly me kite today again. They were supposed to take care of my boy while i go for my gynae's appt. End up they go and make arrangements for other things. Not the first time already. Real fed up with them. Lucky my gynae said ok for me not to let my gal come out today, else dunno what to do with my boy.

bbmaking, to increase Hb levels, fastest way is to pop iron pills... I am eating it right now as my level is low as well and my gynae prescribed it. Congrats that your bb is of such a good weight!
