lily, yup its a routine V swab test for Strep B. It may affect the baby was it descends the birth canal if the bacterial is around.

I also not v familiar with fb. Think without access u will not be able to use.

I didn't bring any disposable baby diapers. Cos normally when discharge there will sure be left over. So don't need to bring along....

Oh no... Is the kid same class as yr son. Is best to keep yr son away fm the CC at the moment leh. But than u going to give birth soon rite. Anyone can help to look after him?

not same class, but coz they all use the same room. So will def have some contact. unfortunately even if my hb can help, we still have to think of the close contact with bb later. sianz... will keep him at home for a while next week and see how.

so glad is friday.
u all muz have a good time eating and chatting at the buffet lunch, too bad i can't join due to work commitment.

i also have not done my Strep B test. Gynae said to do it at week 37.
 
i decided not to take strep B test, cos i am allergic to the antibiotics they use to treat strep b....

my dr also says, u do earlier, even if it shows negative, doesnt mean u will not get it during labour.. or u can also have it now and it may not be around by labour..

So now, all i can do is watch baby lor....

sbb: GNC also sells fenugreek in capsule form.. my friend tried it but she allergic to it, so she doesnt know if works or not, cos she take 2 doses and allergic liao..

My fren took fenugreek from GNC too. But she tried alot of other methods as well, so not sure if its fengugreek that helps with her flow. Though now she has surplus supply....

took the test wk b4 @ 34wks, all cleared for it.

updates: my docs has advised me to deliver frm 37wk to 39wks....so now is either to wait for labour to take place or to induce....meaning I will be delivering this mth!! so fast!!!
 
hi, just had my week 36 checkup. My girl is engaged but no dilation yet so gynae says won't deliver this week. Did the swab test just now too.

My girl is 2.5kg at week 36+. Average size is about 2.6kg.

Pegsfur, I have been having very mild stomache for days with tummy hardening that makes breathless each time and ah wong says it's contraction. It's this contraction that makes my girl engaged.

yup durin the 1st trim... now not so bad le but i din take often also jus make sure i took the calcium tablet daily...
 
irene, did your gynea mentioned ur bb small? my gal also 2.4kg as of today then doc say small small eh...but he say might be genes aso, cos we r asians n both me and dh not big sized....my gal is also engaged as of last wk and no dilation. going for gynea checkup tmr to c if there is any dilation now...

Aaarrghh .. now i suspect my bloating is due to the milk lor. 2 days ago i was hungry in the afternoon so drank some milk den go for nap. Aft nap, wah piangz ... my tummy bloated till so hard and uncomfortable.

Hiaz ... i dun like to take the calcium pills and now cannot drink milk. Think i'll stick to my cheese now. More cheese ....

icic... sometime i feel bloated sometime i dun but at least not as bad as 1st trim liao... for me my diet is not v balance so bobian i tink i better eat the calcium tablet :p afterall i dun drink milk often...
 
irene: so now that baby is engaged, do u walk weirdly? COs i hear some pple say it feels like something is prevetning u from walking properly,etc..
 
GNC fenugreek works for me

my CL took the empty bottle frm me when she left.. so that she can recommend to her future customers then..

GNC Funegreek can be ordered from the overseas sprees page.. every 1st week of the month, drugstore will have 20% discount on GNC products.. go get from these sprees.. cheaper than in SG..

smufy, gnc fenugreek ex in sg? i tink i got mine ard 12usd? heard is take 2 tablets 3 times a day? i think 1 bottle can only last 1 mth...
 
babys, my gal is also engaged..wun walk weirdly, just that can really feel the pressure at the bottom esp when frm lying down position to stand up that instant...and occasionally can feel like bb scratching/knocking at the V area...can't figure out what it is also..but feels weird...

me too worried my cervix not open... but dun worry so much i tink in ur nex appt shd be able to see more... now i can also feel some pressure ard the V area but dun tink my baby engage alr... he is kick so hard today i feel so painful..

so far gynae nv do VE for me le..so i dunno whether is i start to dilate. he jz said bb's head vy low liao but hvnt engaged.

just came back from my checkup. BB is 2.7kg at almost W36. One more week to full-term. Hope bb wouldnt come out next week cos my dr is going on leave.

kiki, ya true..tat's why he told me to observe..if waterbag burst hv to go hos..if contraction then monitor 1st..getting more intense then head to hos.

Yes, the money cai looks exactly like that...
my mum bought some last weekend when she went for farm tour with the RC "leling" group. So when I asked her what is money cai today, she told me that she just cooked and no one like to eat! (alot of leftover! ... and really not very nice leh.. maybe she just boil it, if got sambal to cover the raw taste would be better?)
so wasted! didnt know about money cai sooner, if not I sure will eat more!

donkeymani, your gynea gt do ultrascan for u isit? if u stil can c bb's face on the scan means haven't engaged..mine alrdy cun c le...i wana confirm my bb's gender(cos I only scan once during 18wks) also cannot, cos bb too big le, cun c...hehee...

kiki, you want bb to come out at 37wks? i m hoping she come out as late as possible, nt mentally prepared yet..hehehee...ur bb weight sounds gd

ya lor my gynae goin to start monitorin my cervix condition be4 decidin if i can induce if not wait fail mus c-sect... hopefully everything goes smoothly as plan..
 
Hi ppl...thats alot of posts to catch up...anyway would like to check with u mummies if it is necessary to have vaginal check? My Gynae told me that it may induce the pregnancy. But how do i koe if im gg to give birth soon? Feeling pretty excited now cos bb is 2.3kg and the last 2 scans i went, the head was facing down already. However doc says theres still a chance for her to shift around.

Actually this is a complimentary photography services offered by my husband for all the Aug 09 MTB in this forum.
I will try to post some of the pics that Ive already taken over the weekend.
However if you are interested, please try to reserve the slot asap as we need to make arrangement with the makeup artist

As mentioned, this is a free maternity photography session, however you would just need to pay $100 to the make up artist for her services and you would be getting 10 photos in softcopy FOC.....

Hey gals, saw your Aug 09 gathering in Weishy's FB. Nice to see so many preggie mums. I just got back to Singapore from shanghai. Perhaps cld join u gals when u next meet, which i expect to be when we deliver. Me currently in my 33 weeks. Weight of bb only 1.75kg, gynae says she is on the smaller side.
