SL, later after bb is born, you'll receive calls from different different FM companies, they will give out samples etc etc. you can obtain all samples and give out to other mummies who are need them

Boh bian .. cos my tummy was hardening .. dunny why oso, dat's why couldn't eat alot. But the hardening went away later and when i can eat, the buffet almost ended le

Ya lah .. was there later but hor .. they din refill the food leh. I was eyeing some of the salads which was finished and they din refill lor.
 
chintz, think usually only get the calls when baby is closer to 6 months old as now the FM companies cannot promote infant FM (0-6 months)... apparently its a new regulation to promote breastfeeding?

That one u have to ask secretly one. Coz by right they're not supposed to give u according to the law. But hor, some pp will still secretly gave. I managed to ask for one before. :p

When my #1 was born, I did manage to get Step 1 FM but when my #2 came out, no more already

Hmmm, i think it's Mamex that i got. But very tiring making that FM coz the scoop is so small, by the time i reached the 4th scoop, i've forgotten how many i put in already.
 
infant samples
i only managed to get some premixed n sealed glass bottles samples frm the hospital itself? (Tmc parentcraft).. they give me like half a dozen glass bottles (enough for 6 feeds) in case my breastmilk not enough? :p

hi ladies,
did anyone buy older clothings for baby alreadi? i saw a few tops tat i like but dunno wat size to get. shd i get 3-6mths or 6-12mths? at first thot of getting the 12-18mths one. but my mum said i so KS, still hv 1 yr to go.

anyone of u experiencing this? i'm suffering frm v.bad numbness on both my hands. can't really do things & hv difficulty driving. i feel like a handicapped. sigh....

haha, yah, u so ks. No need to buy now lah. Later then buy lah. Coz those size labels are just for show. U won't know exactly how big to buy until u see your bb.

i start to get tired so easily nowadays. yesterday only swept & mopped floor & my body started to ache.
 
zen, i think it's water retention.

i got that after i deliver bb 2 yrs ago. I had to go to specialist to have a jab. according to the orthologist, it's the water pressuring on my nerves. the prob didn't really go away 100% actually. i hope after delivering #2, i won't face the same prob again!
 
ya, doc told me it's water retention. i hope it'll go away after i deliver. i feel so terrible..... the numbness actually lasts the whole day!

yup...it's against the law(dunno which govt law) if those companies try to give their product...

i ever heard my gynae's assistants said that some clinics actually kenna slap by giving out FM for 0-6mths bbs...

as internationally all countries are supportive of BF for 0-6mths...

not well prepared lar... just that a few months back.. got a craze for online shopping for the girl kekeke.. i have not even prepared my hospital bag :pPppPppP... OR washed any of the bb's clothing
 
Zen, u still mopping the floor ah.. me veri clumsy so my hubby say better dun mop.. cos I fall down twice during my pregnancy liao.. once in the toilet when I was in my 20weeks than the other time is when I was walking in the carpark. I step on some oil so I fall.. hai.. but I jus fall on my knees la.. so heng lor..
 
May I know mummies here intend to let ur bb to drink which brand FM ah? My fren she gave enfralac for her 2 kids (boy & gal) she said quite good no constipation prob.

don't worry. i also haven't prepared hospital bag. nor have i washed bb's clothes. although i dump all of them to the laundry basket designated for bb liao hehe

wanna get opinion of what newborn detergent u all use. last time i used pigeon, but no nice smell at all :p i used kodomo before too (nice smell!). would like to hear more opinions from mummies here. TIA!

Me n my sis also KS... We had been buying lots of bigger size clothes (like for 6-12 mths) for #2 even though she can wear #1 hand down clothes.... Is best to buy bigger size cos u wont know the size of the baby....

they very discreet about givng FM for 0-6mths bbs...

For FM it all depend on individual baby. Cos for my #1, she started off with enfa but than quite bad consitpation so I swtich to Similac. And the problem is solved.

They said after give birth cup will surely be larger by 1 cup.. don kw how true. So got to buy bigger cups for nursing bra.

SL,true! every bb is diff mayb i let my gal drink similac 1st see how is it..cos we nit to tell hos wat brand we like to choose after we give birth cos i thk starting we dun hv milk come in yet.

Yup,I ordered from BBmall. I KS ordered 2 fitted cot sheets, 1 pack of 2 flat sheets & 1 pack of 4 flat sheets (smaller).

Don't have to worry about FM. Hospital will provide u the ready mix FM to bring hm. U can try and brand and if baby is suitable than u get more....
 
re: cup size
when you have milk supply the cup size will be larger lah but once you stop bfg hor the cup size smaller leh. That is my finding from past experience :p

I'm going to TBF and if really need to supplement, i'm getting Nan HA. Coz of my boy's milk allergy and high chance of my gal getting it too, have to abstain from all milk. sigh...
 
SL, we still nit to tell nurse which brand we preferred right? then i thk FM nit to drink like 1wk or so then now bb suitable or not..not 1-2days will knw de woh.

i also haven't packed my hospital bag yet. haha! hv washed most of baby's clothings. now left wif his toys. must wash or not? toys like so troublesome to wash leh. sigh.... still need to clean up his cot & car seat, stroller. oh ya, i also haven't washed the mattress protector sheet.

actually nowadays it's my hubby who does the housework. but i feel bad cos he hv been working late. then i see the floor so dirty, i can't stand it so cleaned & mopped lor. my dog sheds a lot of fur.

i choose Nan HA last time too for my boy in case I cannot TBF to minimize allergies. Luckily I dun need supplement for his 1st year lah.

If u don't have any preferred on the brand of the FM, hospital will give the brand that is sponsor to the hospital for that mth. Different mth will hv different sponsor...

true.... after discharge, than go and get it lor or when u are in the hospital ask hubby to go and get 1 tin.....
