hahah, but that's my son's favourite spot. Coz he can see the cars, buses and trains going by everyday & he watches the traffic lights changing. It's actually quite scenic. hahaha.

The only thing that i will miss when we move hse is the full length window. Coz it really helped entertain my boy. He used to look out of the window when he has his meals.

Mashy, I prefer an older blk in the same estate with bigger floor area & high floor too (best near to MIL cos she helps me to take care of my kids). I am very lucky to find a nice cozy 4 rms unit (a few blk away). Don't have to do alot of reno too.

yours is old flat or new flat? Mine is only abt 7yrs. My low floor valuation should be able to fetch abt $500k. The market value is still holding up. A lot of pp came over to view the flats here every weekend.

Mashy, when you say low floor, how low? 2nd floor? I think it all depends whether there's another block opposite ..if there's nothing blocking i think low floor is ok personally.

mine is a new flat and me also low floor. got this unit by pure luck.. 500K for low floor is not that bad but also depending on location rite? i believe yours at the central area eh?

<font color="0000ff">Jul</font>, korean ginseng, mtbs cannot take, that's wat my korean friend and TCM told me, let your dh know and get him to tell his mum and 3rd trim cannot bu liao too heaty for both mum and bb no very good.

4th floor. My blk is the super high rise type. Those at the higher floors can see the fireworks during national day.

me too. This time i going to look for a high floor and bigger floor area. Coz now family bigger so need more space. I dun like maisonette coz need to climb stairs. :p

the time when i sold my house was few months back but the economy was very bad, as i still need to redo my valuation cause expired. im now staying at "high floor" "4A" "in city". den when finally sold. the market is starting to pick up. so now kinda regret selling so early.

to me i would pay for a higher floor with big area at a lowest price. but provided i like the area. but all these depends, as some like loew floors. like now i buy my EM #01-XXXX. i had a hard time looking for high floor corner with a reasonable price. so hb say #01-XXXX oso good. can BBQ outside oso nvm....
 
mashy that is rite but i got this unit by walk in selection. no need to ballot and paid about 200k plus... the older ones will be the one nearer to the swimming pool rite? i heard someone sold their flat for 600k plus but that is for high floor.

200k! so cheap. 4rm? During my time, the prices were still high before it rock bottomed in 2004-2005. So sad lor. Got it so ex then. So have to sell at this peak to earn any profit. If i had sold it when it just hit 5yrs then, sure lose money. My next door neighbour sold it at only $400k last time.

Yah, mine is near the pool. Yes, the high floors can go up to 600k+ and they keep changing hands. Like my 6th floor neighbour already dunno changed how many rounds...

hehe, i scared of first floor. Scared of cockroaches and rats.

I wonder if there're still pp who's afraid of heights and prefer to stay on a low floor? hehe.

not 200k lah.. about 250 or 260k. and it is 5 room flat... i love the location of my flat.. very windy and amenities all around. some more PM Lee area. but my neighbour plays the drums which is driving me and my hubby mad!
 
donkeymami: we asked SCBB that time, if the drs collect any fee. They say the drs should not collect any fee. If the drs collect a fee, SCBB will then not take the blood...

cheap leh. i got mine at $300+ then. The price really dropped that much. sigh. But guess mine is slightly better location since it's a bit nearer to central? Yah, i love the location and its convenience too, but really need a much bigger place. PM lee area doesn't mean good lah.

then you have to try looking for jumbo flats or exec unit.
The good thing about PM lee area is that once you call them about some prob like rubbish area or leaking for stuffs like that , they immediately send their men over. no need to wait like 2 or 3 days. very efficient leh...

yah lor, so efficient until waste money sometimes. We just had a minor reno here. In oct last yr, they hacked all the floor tiles and relaid them. Then in mar, they hacked again and redid some of the floor patterns. reason coz some residents complained that the prev pattern was too plain. ???? Then they will bo dai bo ji change the block sign. In my 7 yrs here, i think they changed the signs at least 2-3 times liao.
 
Tulips, i stay in Bt. Panjang. what about meeting at Bugis for dinner? then we take MRT together. if not, do you any other suggestion?

For me &amp; hubby, we'll definitely pay more for higher floor, reason becos I've always stayed in high floors all my life, so kind of got used to it already. My hubby die die also wanna get a higher floor flat becos he used to live on 3rd floor and it was west facing. The whole house is literally like a sauna in the nite time, and for someone like him who has a 'volcano' body, it was really pek chek to live in.

Hey, I love full length windows too! Even my dog loves it cos she also likes to look down to see what's happening, den can kpo and start barking

did not know bishan have that kind of flats.. but bishan housing estate also very ex....
i know woodlands got alot of jumbo flat though.. i find 5 room flat a bit big for me.. told hubby dun mind downgrading to 4 room. hubby say i mad.

Executive Maisonette but is at Yishun.. 1 big bedroom downstairs.. 3 big bedroom upstairs.. as for EM got 3toilet with WC "2upstairs 1downstairs". but Executive Apartment only got 2toiles with no stairs in the house. but i think those with 4bedrooms in AMK or Bishan will cost ard 550K-700K ba.

ya, my MIL also saying my son don’t know how to tell them want to wee, but who and who already know at 18 mths. Worst thing is, my FIL use a cup tells my son to wee in a cup! What kind of way to toilet train???

Same here, my MIL also said I got no milk because her daughter also never BF her daughter, but I proof her wrong by BF my son for 1.5 years.

But my PIL is really a good care taker too, just I cannot agreed on certain manner way, such as eating in front of TV, wee in a cup….

This morning mil told hubby to stop taking in old bb clothes from 'other people', becos (in her own words) ".. it's not as if we can't afford to buy new ones .."

Such arrogance! She thot the $200 she gave is alot huh.

Anyway I told HB to drink up the birds' nest with the ginseng liao. Hope she will rem not to add the next time.

Oh! I think I can tell her that Chinese sinseh advise that if mix birds' nest with ginseng, the ginseng will be absorbed but the birds' nest won't be. Then she will heartpain the $$ for the birds' nest then she wun do it anymore??? Hmm.. hope this idea works.

Maybe my MIL thinks I'm sickly that's why she keeps trying to make me drink such stuff? Dun think she's trying to put me down, but more of it's her way of showing care &amp; concern for her family. By aws making soups, tonics, liang teh etc etc.

Wah ur hse is valuated so high ah? Think mine at most $400k, &amp; it's on very high flr. For me, my pref is also older flat with bigger area &amp; on higher floor. I got phobia of insects from low floors :p
