Wow your supply is really good. I can only manage 100ml from morning pump. Then after latch on, per pump is only like miserable 30-40ml.. I used Mdm Rokiah for 2 times n my milk is also like fountain. And she can hand express so easily but when i try myself, is like nthing come out. So sad

Mummies, by the way, how many hours do you have to latch your baby on? My boy seems to be more hungry at night &amp; can have feedings like every hourly or 2. Althou day time he can wait till like 3 hours. Is it normal?

yah need to put it in a pot of water then boil it. then use a cloth diaper to wrap it, the longer u boil it, the hotter the stone is so u might need to fold the cloth diaper before wrapping the stone. it can last for about 30mins - an hr.

I also having tis prob, has been taking fenugreek, papaya soup,fish dun seem increase my supply lor..my breast dun feel full unless i nv pump for overnight like i sleep untill nxt mrng then i can pump abt 110ml..so far the best output from me..if i pump every 3/4hrs max is 50ml frm both sides..i also wish to hv a try before i giving up in BF :p
 
oh man... my CL went home around 12pm and my fever started around 2:30pm!! initially was 38.5 and it jump to 39.5. @_@ so worried it might lower my SS cos read that someone's supply stopped after having a high fever. but luckily, my breasts still manage to become engorge now.

haha the way mdm rokiah express is so painful!!! =( i wouldnt wanna do that lor! but when my breasts are full and i try to hand express some to drink myself to relieve from engorgement, i do see fountain (right nipple) or very fast milk flow (left nipple)

Mdm Rokiah's contact is 92716091. what her service provide is breasts massage @ $58. also, she will give u a lots of advice on breastfeeding since she is very experienced in it. i have short nipples and Mdm Rokiah taught me a way to help Zachary to latch on without using a nipple shield!

Is is too late for me to engage her service now? It's been a month since I've given birth to my baby. My baby doesn't latch on, i've been pumping all these while. Wonder if its too late to try latching on my baby again.

Btw, is it a one session thing? Is she a malay? I've got dogs at home though...

Very impressed with Parentcraft. They called me two days after I discharged to ask how's my breastfeeding. Told them I think I have engorgement and they recommended using cabbage leaves to soften the breast. Use the first 3 layers of the leaves (must buy BIG cabbage), freeze it and then put btw bra and breast for 2h. After that latch or pump. She says breast will soften. But I didnt need to cos I tried pumping and the hard part of my breast soften.

My only problem now is that my milk ss is low, cos after engorgement, breast suppose to expand to store milk. But mine didn't expand much. Even though drink soup also cos milk to come but not much ss. So now I top up with FM when Myra cries after latching. But I still try to latch all the way and pump 10 min each side. Been very tiring man.
 
Birth story:

Suppose to go for induction at 9am on 18 Aug. But couldn't wake up. Also partly fear cos heard so many stories of people waiting hrs for cervix to open when induced.

So reached hospital at 11.30am. Ate a peach tart. Checked in. Hospital wondering what happened to me. I just smiled.

12 noon dr came. Still 2cm dilated. Put pill.

1pm Kena pumped water to loosen stools. Contractions starting.

By 1.45pm Contractions 2 min apart. But I can tahan, so didn't tell nurse (cos she said BIG PAIN MUST TELL HER, then she'll call dr). Nurse happen to walk by and saw me squirming when contractions came, scolded me. Then dr came, burst waterbag, was 4cm dilated. Then transfer to labour ward. Dr told them to give me Pethedine and laughing gas.

2.30pm Was on laughing gas, wow, that helped to ease the contractions. Then some nurse asked if I wanted pethedine. No idea what it was, just said ok as long as it didn't sound like epi. Haha ...

3 plus - felt urged to push. Screamed "Call the Doctor". Stupid nurse said I was not fully dilated, call dr for wat. My hubby then told her my first kid was born in 3.5h. Think she panicked and left. Minutes later heard dr's voice. Then I started to push already. After 3-4 pushes, dr said, "Stop Pushing"

3.32pm I opened my eyes and saw baby Myra. My first smile after 2.5h of pain. And she looks just like my first gal.

You can try latching your baby again. Not easy cos You will have to teach your baby to latch. What I can suggest is you go for the one-to-one outpatient consultation at parentcraft and see if your baby is latching correctly. They will help and teach you.

10++am >>GO ward rest [Reach ward contraction start liao]""1-2 min interval""..was so in pain n sudden. As i heard many mommies start with long interval follow by few min,mine was immediately 1-2min. i bear with it till lunch time when nurse come n saw me in pain..Then push me to labor ward again.
1++pm>> Check i already 9cm liao.. But baby still high,so all nurse was shock i dulite so fast,but as still need wait for 10cm n bb to come down ,so they ask me better opt for epi,so tht bb will not be in pressure n me not so in pain.. Anastic arrive very fast, after epi, i was so RELIVE man..

Just got discharged today but Ovann is still in hospital cos he's got jaundice .. hiaz .. it's a common problem huh? Hope he can go home tomorrow.

Ok, my birth story:

<u>19 Aug</u>
8.45am - Last check up with Ah Wong, did VE and was surprised that i was already abt 2cm dilated. Both of us dun think will have labour so soon, so we confirmed the date to be induced for 21st.

1pm - Ta bao lunch, do some grocery shopping and went back home. Felt tummy tightening.

3pm - Put up bb's bedding, changed my bedsheet and vacuum floor ... still feel ok.

6pm - Tried to rest but felt slight contractions. Start to monitor and it was abt 5mins apart.

6.30pm - Told hubby abt contractions and he flew back home. Ate dinner, prepare hospital bag, shower and prepare to send my dog to my mum's place.

9+pm - Reached hospital and was monitored. Contractions still 5mins apart.

10pm - Dr wong came &amp; checked, got me to clear bowel, nurse shave me partly and send to delivery ward.

<u>20 Aug</u>
12am - Cannot tahan contraction le .. asked for epidural ... luckily the anesthetician came quite fast and pain was relived.

2am - Did VE .. already 6/7cm dilated .. so happy, thot i'm reaching 10cm soon

7am - Finally dilated to 10cm .. midwife started to ask me to push but after pushing for abt 1hr, Ovann still dun want to come out. Meanwhile, I nearly died of exhaustion le ..

8+am - Luckily Dr wong came and helped me with a few pushes, but still no improvement. She said we do a last push &amp; if still like dat, she'll use forceps which i agree readily. Tried 1 last time &amp; failed ... so used forceps and Ovann was delivered at 8.53am!

Hi ladies who are delivering at TMC, when you stay in the hospital, there is a page in the booklet that has the recipes for lactation soup. The copy I have at home is the old one and does not have as many recipes as those in the hospital. If you are going to deliver, could you take down the recipes and post online pls? So far I have tried the fish papaya soup and the pig troutter groundnut soup. Hoping to have some other easy recipes.

Sigh ... I too have low milk supply. Supplementing more and more. Milk refuses to come. Sigh ... Seems like I only have foremilk and no hind milk.

You said Mdm Rokiah managed to massage you till you flowed like a fountain? So no need blocked ducts then call her is it? You bot the hotstone too? Can someone post a photo of it? Just curious.

since u got lump, i dont think it is too late to look for mdm rokiah. have u tried latching previously? i have been latching on all the time since Zachary was born. he had bottle twice and experienced nipple confusion because my milk flow was slow. after seeing mdm rokiah for 3 times, i am confident enough to let him drink my BM from bottle since my milk flow is even faster than teats now. there are 4 openings on both my nipples.

anyway, mdm rokiah will advice you how many sessions you need. maybe u can cage ur dog for an hr during the massage session.

btw, do u experience pet fur on ur baby? so far, i found cat furs near Zachary's mouth, nose and on his eyelid, hair, face. damn sian!!

You need block ducts then will be able to have "fountain". because before she massage, she will use the hot stone to help u compress and "melt" your milk. anyway, i asked mdm rokiah if there are cases whereby the mommy have no milk. she said yes but very rare. maybe 1 in 50.

babyjon, though i signed up prenatal course wif Mrs Wong but she didn't cum &amp; see me when i delivered lor..in fact i met a LC which vy friendly the day when i discharge, she called Lilian..in fact she saw me when we push bb back to nursing room but bb keep crying then she came over &amp; ask me if i nit help.
 
Also a young philipino nurse are vy friendly she push bb to me every night 12am &amp; 4am she help me to latch on..the rest didn't jz pass bb to me tat's all.

First morning Lilian came to see me but Zachary was sleeping so she said dont wake him up and left. on the 2nd day morning both Mrs Wong and Lilian came to see me. Mrs Wong got a list with her who to see de. then after she finish seeing the patients in the ward, she called someone to tell the person she finished seeing which ward.

You should request to see LC. Dont need to sign up for any parent craft course cos it is included in the hospital package. Lilian &amp; other nurses press until very painful but the way Mrs Wong express, not painful at all. I was surprised when Mrs Wong press my nipples and lots of colostrum coming out and it wasnt painful!!! there were much more colostrum coming out when Mrs Wong press! unlike others, very painful and only little bit coming out.

i think Lilian is the one on duty for our ward and Mrs Wong will only come to see you if u request for LC. She was quite surprised when I told her Mrs Wong already came to see me.

all mummies should poped liao right? hahaha.. congras ar..

anyway i just finish pumping and cant go back to sleep.. got a few question i wanna ask...

those mummies who BF baby.. ur baby got a layer of whitish thing on the lips? mine i wipe with the oral wipes and water oso dun seems to remove lei.. like a dry stain on the lips. but beside BF. i feed baby goats milk in the night..

another thing is... ur baby got wake up every hour for milk? eg: feeding time surpose to be 12pm 80ml. but drink only 30ml den 1pm 30ml 2pm 20ml.. the feeds are very irregular..

anyone got the same problem as me??

now that you mention about it, initially Zachary also got a dried white layer on his lips after every feed. my CL said it is normal. now, there wasnt any white layer on his lips after breastfeeding. I also donno when did the white layer stopped forming haha

ur's is latch on right?? cause mine is inverted one lei.. so wad i do is pump out everytime after i finish feeding him... means the milk he drink will be from my previous pump... i tried applying the medela purlan on his lips but oso no changes.. wonder is it bottles feed will have this whitish layer..... btw can oso help me fill in my blanks... bb weight 3kg. length 49cm. natural w/o epi with vacuum.

I am still around. EDD 26 Aug. Still waiting. I will see Dr on 26 Aug. If still not news, Dr will induce me on either 27 or 28 Aug.
